I called and spoke with Sultan, explained that I was purchasing from Kansas City, and asked if they could ship the truck to me. He immediately assured me that shipping was no problem and that they ship all over. I also had my own financing through my bank, and again, there was absolutely no issue. Everyone I dealt with was incredibly accommodating and professional. Because it was a three-day holiday weekend, my biggest concern was that someone else would purchase the truck before my bank could finalize everything. My bank ended up taking the better part of a week to get their payment to Fam Vans. I asked if I could put down a deposit to hold the truck, and they allowed me to do that with the assurance that if something went wrong with the financing, my deposit would be refunded. Once everything was finalized, that deposit could be put toward my shipping costs. That gave me such peace of mind. The office staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process. One of the ladies was incredibly communicative with both me and my banker, making sure the paperwork and contracts were handled quickly and correctly. Another office staff member emailed the contracts over immediately through DocuSign so there was never any unnecessary waiting or confusion. And today, my financing was finally finalized! What really impressed me is that even though the truck hasn't even shipped yet, they're already working on shipping quotes for me. They're taking care of finding the shipper while I handle the shipping cost, which is one less thing I have to worry about. For someone buying a vehicle from halfway across the country, that level of communication, flexibility, and customer service means EVERYTHING. I never felt like I was just another sale. Every question was answered, every concern was taken seriously, and everyone has gone above and beyond to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible. I'm so glad I found Fam Vans, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a van or box truck. I really wanted and intended to write a five star review of OC Autosource because initially I liked…read morethe owner, Tony Thompson and trusted him. I ignored other reviews and purchased my dream car from OC Autosource...a Bentley Continental GT Speed "Limited Le Mans Edition" (#7 of 48) coupe. Though the car had been in his hands for weeks, he apparently never bothered to have a mechanic look at it. I paid for a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection) after buying it (my bad, don't make this mistake) and learned the truth about the car. The front grills had sustained damage, breaking off the tabs that hold them in place and subsequently been GLUED back on. The front left wheel had a crack in it which caused the tire to steadily lose air pressure, ultimately triggering an alert on the car's dash. This alert effectively froze the computer, making it impossible to use the navigation, listen to music or do anything else. I returned to the tire shop 3 times for refills, seven days later the alarm was triggered again, On my third visit they discovered the crack in the wheel. The exhaust system was loosely hanging on...missing brackets that secure it and prevent it from hanging low. The car has a 20 speaker, $7500.00 sound system but the blown speaker in the dash made it painful to use...like nails on a chalkboard. When I provided Tony proof of these flaws, he assured me he would make good on the repairs and "..do the right thing" and I believed him. I had everything fixed at a cost of $2637.79 (parts & labor) and now enjoy driving the car. Weeks passed and Tony never contacted me until I posted a review and filed a BBB complaint. 24hrs after posting my initial review & filing a BBB complaint, I got reimbursed the total amt for the aforementioned repairs. But because Tony asked me to "...remove all the negative you put out there" I feel this was mere damage control rather than his desire to do the right thing because I received more messages from him within 24hrs of posting my review than I received in the preceding 4 months.. I promised him an honest review on my first visit to OC Autosouce & that's what this is. I always keep my word. If you intend to purchase a car from OC Autosource, I suggest you demand a PPI be conducted before you buy. Have the cost of any repairs necessary be deducted from the purchase price and handle the repairs yourself. JMO...I could be wrong.

This review though is about my salesman in Costa Mesa where I made my decision and bought my truck. My salesman here was named Kayon. Before I get into the meat and potatoes let me set the stage. I am hoping this review will not only help someone choose a salesman and location on where to buy their vehicle but I am also hoping this helps someone like me thats disabled with horrendous back problems. I was looking to trade in my dream truck, my baby. I was trading in my 2018 Toyota Tundra. Besides the vile gas prices in california the only issue with my tundra was the seat is unbearable. I wanted to cry each time id drive the truck for 30+min or more. What I settled on was a Honda Pilot. one of the major requirements for me is that the truck must be off road capable. I just need to be able to drive on dirt trails, nothing crazy to go camping. So this eliminated many of the nice trucks like from Acura or Lexus (that was within budget) until I stumbled upon the trailsport pilot. I also had my eye on the Passport. Let me tell you, the Pilot is a DREAM, an absolute dream to drive. I made sure in Murrieta that I would sit in the vehicle an drive it for an extended time which i did...almost for three hours. Now, I knew what I wanted but I needed to find one in my price range. The manager at Costa Mesa reached out to me because i had originally sent a passport to costa mesa to test drive but it was just out of my price range. So I passed on that. a manager reached out to me and asked me what my needs was. I told them and less than 48 hours i get a link to a truck and its identical to the truck I drove in murrieta., it just has 41k miles vs i think it was 9 or 15k miles... but the price difference was almost $10k. Other than that, it was identical. Diffused Sky Blue Pearl baby!!! Every time I would see this rare truck in the wild I would stare at it... let me tell you, when I test drove this truck sure enough people would stare and I got a kick out of it because I was one of those people! but I am jumping the gun here. Kayon reached out to me and we swapped many text messages and phone calls. We pretty much did everything over the phone but I wasnt going to commit obviously without seeing the truck and driving it. Kayon was beyond kind, professional and had such a positive attitude. He excelled at his job. One of the concerns I had was that with the miles on the truck I was worried about brakes and tires. Kayon went out in the 100 degree heat to check all the tires on the truck for me and sure enough the tires was barely passable. I asked for tires and the manager agreed to this. I made sure that I was given all terrain tires because thats what the truck came with. Manager again said no worries they would take care of me. This happened less than 24 hours of my scheduled test drive etc... so they pushed my appointment back to late afternoon and made sure that everything would be cleaned and ready for me. When I arrived Kayon walked out and met me even though I was an hour early to my appointment. I already had such a high opinion of him and it grew even more when he came out to greet me. He was even better in person. He answered all my questions, handled every small detail for me and had no issues with me sitting for a while playing with the truck after my test drive. When it came down to swapping things over Kayon did the heavy lifting for me, knowing I am disabled with a bad back. He had no issues and or qualms helping me out., he even changed over my license plate frame that I wanted to keep. Now, this brings us to Alma. The sales manager that was there that day. She was also such a breath of fresh air. She was highly professional, very approachable and most importantly of all she cared about her job, her employees and what people thought of the dealership and their experience. I had to speak to her to give Kayon a huge compliment. They definitely earned my business and I bought the truck. I snagged a 2024 Honda Pilot Trailsport. Let me again. Reiterate, this truck is a dream. Its beautiful, loaded to the gils with tech, luxury and comfort. The only thing honda dropped the ball on was no ventilated seats. Other than that this truck is a 9.5/10. The tires they put on the truck looks great, the only ding I would give was the exterior and some of the interior of the truck wasn't cleaned well. I can overlook things like that but it had to be mentioned. If you're in the OC hit up carmax costa mesa. Kayon and Alma will take care of you. I have never had such an easy car purchase in my life. Nothing was pushed on you or forced. Kayon showed me prices on warranties, told me pros and cons and went over every single detail of the contract. It was beyond a breeze. I finally brought my car into Carmax for an appt and they could not figure it out either, and recommend that i go to the manufacturer. I went to KIA in Huntington Beach and with an appt and it wouldn't work on their end either, so they replaced the radio. Luckily this was all under warranty and everything is fixed now, but it makes you wonder how well CarMax checks their cars for these things!?
