Horrible experience. The key fob lasted 3 months then just stopped working. The old fob was replaced because the actual key broke off, but the fob still worked. So, I tested it and it works fine, so it was obviously the new fob being defective. The guy said he would come out and test it for a $75 fee. Then, if it was defective, it would be the same charge as last time to replace it again. Seriously?! Don't waste your money on a company that refuses to stand behind their product! They're cheap and dishonest. read more

Do not do business with this company. They sold me a defective key that worked for about 3 months. When I called them about it, they were not interested in any kind of resolution at all. Once they had my money they washed their hands of the whole thing. They said it was a Ford factory key but one of their techs told me he'd cut me a new key if I got one on Amazon. Waste of almost 200 dollars. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. You will not get what you pay for. read more

It is always an inconvenience to lock your keys in your car but he made the process as painless as he possibly could He was incredibly professional and very knowledgeable and the entire process took less than 15 minutes. Hired Ace Lock to install a crash bar + electric strike on my front door, and a Lever + strike on my side door. Push bar and lever install was fine. Electric strike on the front door was not done well. First, it was installed upside down so it had to be recut into the frame. So there is a gap between the bottom of the strike and the frame. He used permanent marker to try to hide this. Scratched my door and then used permanent marker to try and hide the mistakes. He got permanent marker on my interior gray wall, and somehow got permanent marker on my exterior wall. The side door, the electric strike installed was not compatible with the lever installed. I ended up hiring another company and had to pay for a different strike to be installed. I threw the original strike away, which I paid for. I also paid for a 3rd door lever to be installed, and we agreed to a price (2 strikes + door lever). After the strike install, I was told the 3rd lever was not on the initial price agreed upon, despite a screenshot of a text from the owner of the company stating otherwise. read more

I had this company come out to re-key one door. Due to my fault, he was not able to rekey a combination lock that I had installed on the door myself. However, he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He didn't even charge me a service call for the wasted trip to my home. Once I buy a new lock, I will definitely be using his services again. REPAIRED a stuck CAR IGNITION LOCK...absolutely wonderful! Have a car ignition that's worn out and stuck and the key won't turn to start? Don't pay huge dealership prices to have your ignition lock replaced...have him REPAIR it! I saw his shop near my house (at Main st and Lake Highlands in The Colony) and caught him there in between mobile jobs (call him to make sure he's there, since I imagine 99% of his work is out of the shop) I asked him if he could repair the lock cylinder and he said yes and since I had already pulled it out, I brought it to him the next day...if I hadn't pulled it out already, he could have come to the car and removed it for me! (not easy to remove so if I'd known ahead of time I would definitely have let him do it LOL) He had the lock cylinder for all of 20 minutes and handed it back to me with the key in the start position and turning back and forth smoothly, where before it wouldn't turn past auxiliary. All I have to do is slide it back in and plug the little clip in...oh and put the console back together hahaha definitely would have preferred to have had him do the whole job! The car will now start!!! We haven't been able to start my son's Kia for a month! The dealership wanted $500 plus 2 hours labor and ordering the part online was going to be a minimum of $170 plus tax and shipping and waiting for it to arrive via snail mail. Then I was going to have to do the labor myself replacing the entire steering column assembly not just the lock cylinder and my son would have been left with one key for his door and a different/unmatched one for his ignition. He did it in a breeze for a fraction of the price...on a foreign car no less! People usually think of Locksmiths when they're locked OUT of something...it never once occurred to me that a locksmith could FIX A CAR IGNITION like that! I wish that I had known in the beginning instead of going for weeks trying to figure out what to do to fix the problem and listening to the dealership, which was really just holding me hostage...dealerships are in the business of replacing things not fixing them! If you have a problem with your car ignition call here! Save yourself time, money, headache and get it fixed right the first time so you can keep your existing key! I am so so so very VERY pleased!!! Attached is the picture of the lock cylinder in the start position for the first time in a month! Oh I almost forgot the fancy $65 Razor Edge key that KIA cut for me (because I thought that was the initial problem)...that took four trips and 5 cuts from the dealership and eventually had to be ordered directly from Kia and shipped to the dealership, before I had a working key that would open up the car door... He could have done it in minutes right there in his shop! Kia told me only they could cut the key! Never again pay dealership hostage prices let him FIX IT!!! read more

Service date: 10/29/15. They were quick, knowledgeable and actually early to the appointment, I had to re-key a new home because the previous owner had lost a few of the keys. They identified one deadbolt, and one regular lock that needed replacement. I was surprised to see they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for the parts. David's services and work were outstanding. He's a professional who's obviously skilled and knows what he's doing. My lock on my backdoor of the house was stuck. I called David and he came out the same morning. He fixed and replaced the stuck lock along with a new handle. He also replaced the handle and lock on my door leading to the garage as it was old and worn. Lastly, he matched all the keys for the front, back, and garage door, and supplied four keys. He did all this in about fifteen minutes! Cost was reasonable and fair. I'd work with David again for sure and I would highly recommend him with enthusiasm. We lost the keys to our Jeep Wrangler. Had a new key and fob made by this business. Within a few days, the factory car alarm would start going off when the any fob button is pushed. Called the store and he said the car must have blown a fuse and took no responsibility for the problem. He refused to think there may be a problem with his work or product. We took the car to the dealer. No fuses were blown and the Jeep works fine now after the dealer made a new key and fob. Please think twice before going to this business. They refused refund the $125 for the bad key and fob! read more

This has to have been the worse experience I have had with a locksmith. He came out to our home and said he could replace the door handle but only ended up damaging our beautiful wood front door and put on a handle that doesn't fit. He said he would come back and fix the problem but never did. Please be very careful about using this locksmith. I don't want others to get burned like I did. read more
