If I could leave Zero stars I would have. I called this company to inquire if my new electronic locks could be rekeyed to match . The lady who answered the phone informed me that yes they could be rekeyed and potentially could be made to match my original standard deadbolt key, depending on the brand. At no point did she indicate that if the electric lock was an off-brand it would be impossible to rekey them at all. She gave me a quote for the rekey service and indicated there would be a service charge for the trip. But again did not mention that if for some reason the technician was unable to perform the service we would be responsible for the service charge. When the technician arrived he looked at the keys and said it may not work because of the brand of electric lock. He was able to insert my standard key into the lock but said he would have to call his boss to ask if he could attempt to rekey the locks . The boss told him He could not rekey the locks because they were an off brand and then they informed me I would still be required to pay the service charge. I let them know that this possibility had not been communicated and asked if the fee could be waived. They said it could not, so I called the office after the tech left and they gave me the number of the boss. When I spoke with Ben (owner) he was condescending and rude, spoke over me and interrupted me and when I informed him that I would have to leave a negative review about their poor customer service, he accused me of extortion! It was quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered in my 23 years of home ownership. read more

Ian did a fantastic, quick job fixing my bathroom door. The bathroom handle became loose from the inside, and when I closed it, it had locked with no way to get back in. He arrived within 15 minutes, assessed the situation and luckily was able fix it within a short time frame. (I was happy to not have to replace the door handle, too). Called and they were very specific with their appointments. Only to find out when I showed up on time, at 4pm, that there was no locksmiths there and they called me to tell me they would like to send one to my house. Then when the locksmith called me directly he said it was going to take an hour to even get to my house with the key to even start working on it. Needed to program my ford key for 2014 expedition and came to store and had it done in 15min, very good and reasonable

I made an appointment at 1:35 PM to have my car unlocked at 9:00 PM the same day. At 9:15 PM no one had called me or showed up so I called and was told the technician would call me. At 9:25 PM the technician called me and said he was 25 minutes away. At 10:03 I received another call saying he had a flat tire and it would be 15 more minutes. At 10:30 he arrived. There was a $25 service fee and the actual vehicle lockout service was $70. I asked if he could give me any discount for being an hour and a half late and he took of $10. It took two minutes to unlock my car. I won't be locking my keys in my car again. Update: The owner wanted me to be happy and felt very bad about how late the technician was to the appointment and offered me a full refund. I appreciate how they care for their customers and was happy to agree on half of the amount I paid refunded. Thank you Best Locksmith. read more

I applaud you all for reaching out to me by phone, I see my missed calls, but I am trying to enjoy my time off right now. My correspondence with Best Locksmith through Yelp was with Ben, the technician who came to my house was named Ben, so unless there are multiple Bens working at Best Locksmith, you should have known to charge me the correct amount at the time.
