Chef Andres and his team prepared an exceptional feast, beginning with wonderfully original croquettes, followed by fresh tagliatelle in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, and a perfectly cooked T-bone topped with North American caviar. Alexis, our server, was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel as though we were dining in our home. That sense of hospitality is at the heart of Acca; a welcoming haven where simplicity, outstanding food, and genuine warmth come together naturally. There is a reason Chef Andres has been recognized by the James Beard Foundation for his culinary talent. I really wanted to like the burger at Accá. I actually did like it the first time I tried it about two years ago. It was solid, just not memorable. Good enough, but not something that pulled me back. Fast forward to now. My friend would not stop talking about the burger she had recently, especially the $8 burger deal she thought was on Wednesdays. She raved about it enough that after reviewing Phantom Padel, we decided to swing by Accá late in the evening. We walked in around 8:26 pm, knowing they close at 9. We asked if it was too late to order and they assured us it was fine. There was a large birthday party still eating and just getting appetizers, so we were told there was no rush. Still, we felt bad and ordered quickly. Two double-patty burgers (ordered medium rare), a pomodoro pasta, and one additional burger to go. The staff was kind and welcoming. The head chef had already left and the remaining kitchen team was in cleanup mode, with one cook handling food while others wrapped up. It was a small, intimate setting. You can see directly into the kitchen, which I usually enjoy, but this time it worked against the experience. Watching the burger being prepared, the patty hit a very cool lift-style grill with barely any seasoning. Just a small pinch of salt. When the burgers came out, they looked pretty, but were absolutely drowning in sauce. And then the first bite. Raw. Not medium rare. Not rare. Seared on the outside and essentially raw in the middle. On top of that, the amount of sauce was overwhelming to the point of being gag-inducing. We looked at each other and immediately knew we were having the same experience. My friend kept apologizing, saying she remembered it being much better. Honestly, I did too. The fries were excellent. Crispy, well seasoned, easily the highlight of the meal. We were also given two salads, a beet and grapefruit salad and a Caesar. Both were actually very good with nice textures, plenty of cheese, and still fresh despite sitting for a bit. I had ordered my to-go burger with no sauce or sauce on the side, but it came fully sauced anyway. That matters when something is boxed up and sitting, because it just keeps soaking. Another uncomfortable moment came when my friend's pomodoro pasta was being made. The kitchen staff was openly debating whether it should have ricotta or mascarpone. In an open kitchen, hearing uncertainty about a basic component of a dish is not reassuring. They did check on us, but at that point the kitchen was being scrubbed down and closing. We weren't about to be those customers asking for everything to be redone. We packed the burgers up, went home, and I ended up microwaving them just to finish cooking so they were edible. What made the experience more disappointing is the pedigree behind the restaurant. Andrés Pablos was recently announced as a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Texas. He's a CIA San Antonio graduate with experience in Michelin-starred kitchens, including Akelarre in San Sebastián and Noma in Copenhagen. With that background, you expect a tight, well-oiled kitchen. That was not what we experienced. For context, the double burger was $19. There is apparently an $8.50 burger deal on Tuesdays, likely for a single patty. My friend had thought it was Wednesday, which is what sparked the visit in the first place. I'm sharing this because I genuinely went in hopeful. Accá has the talent and reputation to be great. I ate there twice recently and it's just ok. I don't understand why they put too much dressing on the ceasar salad. The result is an unpleasant, soggy, limp salad. And micro planing the cheese results in losing the delicate taste of the cheese. The French fries were so disappointing. Not fresh, but dehydrated potatoes. No flavor. The prosciutto sandwich hardly had anything in it, such as prosciutto! The focaccia bread was very tasty. The second time I ordered the pomodoro pasta. The tomato sauce was very thin and watery. Which was sad because the house made pasta was nice. Bread should be served with this dish. My partner had the grill cheese sandwich and it was just ok. The tiramisu is good! Our waiter, Capris did a good job, especially since he was on his own. I do like the look and feel of it. Reminds me a bit of San Francisco. I'll have to try it again. read more

So let's start off with how amazing the food was! Absolutely 10/10 delicious. The wait staff was friendly but not very attentive. We waited for over 30 minutes for our food. And the main reason it gets a 3 star is the food portion to price ratio. After tip we spent $32 for what felt like half a cup of pasta. So it was a fun night out, super cute spot. But not a repeat. My party of four enjoyed Acca last Saturday evening. The restaurant was pretty full, including a table for six in the annex space. We found the menu to have a little something for everyone. I ordered the grilled scallops and I enjoyed the hummus appetizer. I thought the food was excellent, however, the entree portion size was very skimpy all the way around. My wife and I don't eat much--we normally share an entree or we end up sending half back or we take time a doggie bag. The scallops were rather small and I believe there were three in my order possibly four small scallops. I'm a senior with a tiny appetite, so I know that when I'm not satisfied, the portion size is too small. The ambience was nice. I understand the owners put a lot of blood sweat and tears into the space during Covid. It's a relaxed atmosphere, cozy, and we really enjoyed it. The surrounding area on this block of Noble is a little sketchy, as there were some teens across the street smoking cannabis that made us feel uneasy about walking, so we parked illegally in front of the restaurant. The service was better than expected, given that there were not enough servers on hand to accommodate all the customers. It seemed our server was handling the entire restaurant, aided in part by an owner or manager. They simply had too many tables to provide each one the best possible service. With that said, they all pitched in best they could. The pace was a bit slow, but everyone received what they ordered, and seemed pleased, but everyone commented about the portioning of the entrees. read more

Went here for my husband's birthday. We were visiting my mom from LA and this place has excellent vegetarian options. My mom is GF and got the burger in the lettuce wrap. Excellent fries! We had the gnocchi without bacon and the vegetarian pasta (agnolotti). Pasta is handmade and in delicious broth. They have two feral cats that are just adorable that peer into the restaurant that the kitchen feeds. Highly recommend reservations since seating is limited, but there were bar chairs at the kitchen bar I am assuming for walk-ins/singles/doubles. Excellent service. My son and mom loved the aqua fresca. I have been to Taft twice and LaMezza(?) twice and this beats them by far for food and service!! read more

It's been a week since my meal at Accá and I still can't get over how much I enjoyed the experience! I've been following Accá on Instagram for months and finally had the opportunity to stop in for dinner last weekend. Accá is a fairly new restaurant located in a stunning, newly renovated building. My friends and I (a party of 6) fit comfortably at their large wooden table and started off our night ordering every app on the menu. The portions were great for sharing and each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. We also decided to split several main entrees including the Rib-eye (medium rare and well done to accommodate dietary needs; and both were delicious!), Grilled Chicken, Seared Scallops, seared salmon, two pastas. Even after we were fully sated and before we ordered lovely desserts to top off our night .. we couldn't help ourselves and slipped in round of the Caesar salad (and a beet salad per our servers recommendation) because several of us were blown away by the complexity and needed more. I know, it's a caesar salad. How great can it be? I'm dedicating an entire paragraph to this salad. Maybe it's the gargantuous amount of parmesan cheese, the grilled lettuce, or some secret ingredient in their house made dressing? Whatever it is, I'm writing home about it. You'll just have to trust me or visit yourself Accá to try it. Accá is an elevated dining experience. From each dish's presentation & complex flavors, down to the beautifully designed interior decor and cozy lighting. Acca proved to be a delightful and delicious experience! We were welcomed right away with our reservation. The inside was welcoming and the open-kitchen setting made it very appealing. As for the food, the truffle fries were very tasty which was complimented with grated grana padano cheese - yum! Our main meals included the grilled chicken and the seared salmon. My husband found this place on Instagram, and so glad he did! It's a small family owned business with delicious food. Google says it's closed Sundays, but it's actually not. We went for brunch, and ordered the biscuits and gravy, the barbacoa sandwich and a waffle for our 4 year old. The food did take over 20min, but the wait is honestly worth it. Both dishes were amazing! Everything is made in house and is really fresh. Definitely recommend and will be going back! Also their Jamaica mimosa was also very tasty! read more

Although the parking is extremely limited I beg you to disregard that and enter this fabulous space. The decor reminds me of a quiet bistro. No music, no TVs! Upon entering you see the open kitchen at the far end. The decor is minimalist but still lovely. The bathroom is pristine! I just could not decide what I wanted to order so I chose the Carrot/Ginger Soup and Red Bell Pepper Tartare. Once my food started arriving I knew this was a restaurant I would be visiting often, at least to give everything on the menu a go. I rarely take photos of my food but these menu items were so spectacularly perfect I could not help taking the photos so I could continue to enjoy thinking about what I ate. Onto my meal: The Carrot/Ginger was wonderful. Lush and smooth it was beautifully prepared. It is the only soup on the menu but it was a stand out. Next let me tell you about the tartare: I have enjoyed many tartares in my time, be it steak, salmon or numerous other ingredients but I had never had a vegetable tartare. This was wonderfully presented and scooping up mouthfuls with the crispy lavash was great. Very flavorful. Lastly, I generally do not order sweets because as the name suggests they are sweet. The Canelé de Bordeaux was the perfect little bite. Not overly sweet but again a beautiful little treat. Had dinner here with my friend, boyfriend and daughter. When we arrived the table only had three chairs. The waiter almost had a stroke when we asked for an extra chair. The waiter pronounced salmon like sal- man. He also pronounced cabernet like caber- net. He made it seem like I was the one mispronouncing it! We had to ask for water. We ordered our food and after about 40 minutes we got the hummus appetizer. They didn't provide enough pita bread. I am not sure if they expected us to shovel it in our mouths with spoons. An extra order of pita bread cost $2.50. When we finally got our food I was shocked! The portions were sooo small. I couldn't even see my pasta under the lake of sauce and the chicken that was $5 extra was so small! They distract you with alfalfa stems and a big glob of cream. After I finished what little pasta and chicken I had the lake of sauce stayed in the bowl. No bread was offered. I guess I have been spoiled by Olive Garden. This place is perfect if you are on Ozempic. Do not recommend. We had to wave staff down to get our bill which we reluctantly paid. read more

I was visiting El Paso from Chicago for the first time and had to stop at Acca. We started the meal with some reasonably priced and excellent bottles of wine and every appetizer they had. The Caesar salad was a real standout (we ordered two by the end of the meal). We'll have to come back for the gambas because they were out. Every main dish was perfectly executed, from the pastas, to the salmon and chicken, to the steak and the desserts. Everything is better when shared. We had an expecting mom in our group with some dietary restrictions in our group, which they more than accommodated. The service was kind and attentive, and the kitchen staff (on full display in the open concept) were lively and skilled. I would definitely come back for lunch for their pork belly sandwich and the burger. I hope this new El Paso restaurant is around for years to come! read more

I so badly want to give them a higher rating. The ambiance, service and concept were great! I was so disappointed in my waffle that came in a prepackaged bag and just heated up. There was no one else in the restaurant either, so it wasn't like they were behind on timing or anything. We sat at the bar, so we could watch them prepare food in their open kitchen...and I couldn't believe my eyes knowing that I was paying almost 20 for a chicken and waffles. On IG, there's literally a video of them using batter and a waffle iron to make theirs and I was looking forward to that. The waffle was dry. Didn't eat it. The fried chicken was good. The barbacoa sandwich was good! I am absolutely in love with this place. i invited three friends to join me and I was able to convince them to arrive just as they opened the door at 11:00. This time we were able to park just in front of the restaurant. that worked out perfectly. Still fabulous service. The music was a bit loud but they accommodated us by lowering the volume when we asked. The food! Wonderful. One of my friends ordered the Caesar salad and loved it. Two ordered burgers and also were thrilled with their meals. I ordered the pork belly sandwich, and it was wonderful. We shared the tiramisu, which was fabulous. Absolutely loved both times I've been here. The hummus is my fav appetizer... that peta is so so good! They have a great presentation on all their dishes and they taste even better. I got the steak the first time and the pasta the second. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the first time the pita for the hummus was sooooo soft. It was so good that the second time I went in to order I asked for an extra side of it which they charged me for but I expected that. However, it wasn't nearly as soft so I was definitely bummed that not only was it not consistent with the first time but I had ordered extra and paid for extra thinking it would be the same. I was excited to try this restaurant as I had heard good things from other people. However, I ordered the seared salmon and that's exactly what I got.....a tiny, tiny portion of salmon swimming in sauce on a plate the size of a saucer. A couple of asparagus spears or a tablespoon of rice would have been appreciated. To add insult to injury, this dish was $25. My friends were happy with their selections, but they, too, were very small portions. My advice to others wanting to try this restaurant: eat before you go. read more

The food was absolutely amazing! Make sure you make a reservation though. We arrived around 6 and there were only 2 tables taken but since we didn't have a reservation they sat us in an awkward side room next to the coffee bar, where the tables almost felt like they were just stored to be out of the way. About half way through our meal another party of 4 were settled next to us and we were on top of each other. They seemed equally uncomfortable so we just ended up moving the tables around ourselves to try to get some more room. The main area and the bar seemed very nice though. I had a great experience at Acca. I made a reservation as a solo and they were waiting for me. I had a spot at the bar that over looks the kitchen which was great fun. My server was very kind and attentive. I had great conversations with her as well several members of the kitchen staff. The food was excellent. I had the smoked hummus (fantastic) and the scallops (also great) and one of the chefs recommended the MilleFeuille which was also delicious. Acca was a great find in El Paso. read more

We were excited to try Acca. We come to El Paso frequently to visit family and friends and typically plan a night out for dinner while in town. There were six in our group last Friday evening. Our table was ready when we arrived and our server was friendly and efficient. My dining partner and I usually enjoy trying a few menu items and sharing. Our group shared the smoked hummus for a starter. I thought that was the star of our meal. We ordered a variety of items which were shared by all. I was surprised at the variation in size of the items we ordered--some items were about right for one person while others were adequate for sharing. For beverages we shared a bottle of Basque wine which was enjoyable. However, we had a few beer drinkers at the table and the selection of only two options was disappointing. We concluded that the desserts we selected after our meal could (should) have been skipped. They were attractively presented, but nothing special. We might give Acca another try in the future, but I'm not sure it will jump to the top of the list the next time we are looking for something new and different for a group dinner. read more
