Great service! Quick response! Locked ourselves out by accent when taking our newborn for a walk. Obviously we were terrified. Called ALS and James showed up within 30 minutes and got us in within just a few quick minutes thereafter. They were quick to answer our call and prompt in their response. Highly recommend. read more

Great service, he was there within the hour for our emergency lockout situation. He was literally the nicest guy ever & he got right to work. Deducted 1 star because they didn't accept all forms of payment but the service was A1. read more

Service was prompt, efficient and James was exceptionally polite. While you don't normally want to call a locksmith, I could not be happier with the service that I received. read more

Ask for Paul, he is so polite, respectful, professional, and quick! I had called in and set a 3 pm appointment, Paul was punctual and it was $95. $15 more if they have to drill. They drilled me in and he explained to me how locks work and gave me tips on what I can do next time to avoid the problem. He even showed me how to install a new door knob and asked if I wanted him to clean the shavings from the floor so I wouldn't step on it and hurt my feet if I was bare foot. read more

Accurate Lock Service - My boy Paul got the job done! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Got my locks for my home redone and replaced. After the work was completed, I was invoiced a bill that was much higher than I was quoted and expected. If I knew the bill was going to much higher than what was originally estimated, I would have gone with another company. Make sure you get your price upfront and have them stick to it! Overcharges and rips you off for any service. read more

Address is INCORRECT and they do NOT make car keys. Maybe Yelp should list all the different types of keys locksmiths make. This would make the search for a proper locksmith more efficient and helpful. read more

I should preface by saying that (unfortunately) this is not the first time I've been locked out of my apartment this year. The first time it happened, the service I called had me in my apartment in less than a few minutes. It was almost too easy. I called this service and arranged for a time to meet. I was in the process of getting my car towed and missed his confirmation call. He called again and gave me a bit of an attitude "I just called you and it went to voicemail... do you need our service or what??". I said, of course, and confirmed the time. The guy arrived on time but was clearly in a bad mood, but we all have bad days. He started fiddling around with the lock and after about 30 minutes, he said it was "impossible" to pick and that he'd have to drill the lock to let me in. Of course, this was an extra charge. I told him that I had this done before and the guy was successful really quickly. He said it must have been luck as he is "really good at what I do". Clearly. So, after 35 minutes, $180 later, and a damaged lock, I was finally back into my apartment. FYI - the previous service only charged me $118 and this was on New Year's Day. read more

Absolutely awesome. I called around, and they had the best prices in town. Also -- their technician Paul was here in 15-minutes. Such a nice guy -- very professional and easy going. He tried his best to pick the lock, and when that wasn't done, gave me all of the options and let me know how I could most cost-effectively replace the locks. Would absolutely call them again if I ever need a locksmith again (although I hope not to anytime soon). Paul was the best! read more

We contacted Accurate Lock Service last Thursday after being locked out of our condo due to latch failure. The time was around 9:45 PM and James took our call. He was at a client's location and so was short on time. He however requested me to text him the details and promised to get back to us once he was done. I sent him all the details and he got back to us in 15 minutes. He came over in few minutes and helped break the latch. I paid $135 for the whole service. We were very happy with the service as some of the other 'highly rated' businesses on Yelp were either a no show or did not get back to us within an hour. You go, James! read more

John helped me out. When most people would have gotten mad at the situation ... He stayed cool and popped the lock open. Which allowed me to go home after a long day and feed my cats & catch the Hawks game. Would definitely call again and ask for him by name. Cheers, John! read more

After being told by my first few yelp searches they were too busy, or put me on hold for 15 minutes, I finally tried Accurate Lock. Quick story - I will use them again first if needed. Jay was quick (20minutes to my place, and picked the lock in a few seconds) Jay was also friendly, Helpful and made a bad situation as easy as possible. He was even great with my nervous, vocal and very cold puppy. Will save number for future emergencies, and highly recommend. read more

I'm house/ babysitting for my sister ... ages 1 and 3 .... the 3 year old accidentally locked us out of the apartment while I was getting her brother situated in the stroller ... We could not have asked for better service from this company. They came out in a snowstorm within 30 minutes! The worker was very polite, explained everything that he was doing, and charged a reasonable price given the time of day, that it was a Sunday, and the noise from our alarm was extremely deafening. We recommend this company to anybody in Chicago looking for "accurate" service. read more

Pushy. Rude service. Also when I called to ask about services they hung up on me / cut me off when I asked for more details about keys and types of locks. Too many options out there to give my money to them. #ThankYouNext read more

Very fast service and helpful tech. Came out on a Saturday less than 10 minutes after I called. A+

Guests came for the holiday weekend and put my key in the non-functioning lock. The key got stuck and would not budge, leaving me stuck in my apartment with my key on the outside. Called at 8:30 am on Memorial Day, and Jay came promptly to assist. He was extremely thorough and very professional. I will definitely be recommending Accurate Lock Service's to anyone who unfortunately needs a lock smith! read more

Went with them because they provided the cheapest quote for replacing my door know (100 vs 150). The guy did not show up on the date and time I requested and I had to call him to get him to show up. When he finally did replace the lock it was $350 rather than $100!!! He gave some roundabout explanation about why his 40 minutes of work installing $50 door know was worth it but it was already installed so I was kind of stuck. On top of this he was rude to my building maintenance person. Use anybody but them!!! read more

Saved me from the cold, snow & wind when I locked myself out of my car in December. Could have been a total nightmare, but the locksmith got to me fast and into my car faster. I highly recommend! read more

Jay just came out and unlocked my door at 9pm on a Sunday. Took him all of 5 minutes, nice dude and only waited 15 min

JAMES was fantastic. Came in ten mins. Took real care. Got us going in another five mins. So helpful!

Very happy with the service from accurate locks. Jay responded to my late night call quickly and was able to get me into my apartment in a timely manner. I had a difficult lock and Jay tried all his options to get the door open, and it worked! he was professional and honest about my options. Thanks for the quick response! read more

He walked me through what I needed to buy at the hardware store, showed up early for the appointment (called ahead to make sure that was ok) and unstuck my door, replaced the knob, re-keyed the lock and cleaned up inside 30 minutes. Very professional, very courteous. Price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this service! read more

You can stop searching now. This is the locksmith you're looking for. Had a key stuck in the front door last night. He was able to open it in a matter of minutes. The initial estimate he gave was already pretty okay compared to 2 other locksmiths in the area I called. Dude actually called me back and lowered the price by 25% and said he'd be there in 10 minutes. How awesome is that. Very nice guy, he was super friendly and easy to talk to. He explained things every step of the way in clear and simple terms which was quite helpful. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. If I ever get locked out again, I would go with this guy. He's the best. Seriously. read more

Super quick to come over and deal with an unconventional, poorly installed lock. Very professional and highly recommended!
