I have been taking my knife, sewing shears, and grooming tools to Mike for a few years at the farmers' market. He is the only easily accessible knife sharpener in the SCV. He has done a great job. This last time he handed me back my clipper blades in a plastic bag that was slit on the bottom. One of them fell through the slit onto the pavement and a tooth broke. He offered to sell me a new one but no refund or compensation as it "can still be used safely under a guard comb". I do use this blade under guard combs but also for paws, which I can no longer safely do. I am disappointed but I will likely be going back to him as he is the only one I can reasonably access. Just got 9 knives sharpened and am so upset. He literally took chunks off of every single handle (even gave them back with chunks wrapped up with them) and took sooo much off every blade. At the base you can see how much wider the blade used to be. The serrations on my serrated knives are nubs now. I'm having to sand all the handles they're so jacked up. The lives of my smooth blades have been greatly diminished he took so much off and the serrated ones basically need to be replaced now. I was so excited to get them "professionally" sharpened too. Total nightmare. Really wish I could go back in time and not let him touch them. Spent money to sharpen that instead ruined my knives and now have to spend even more money to replace them.
