UPDATE: used Sidney for their mail in cuticle nipper sharpening service. It's hard to find someone that will sharpen these small tools. I didn't realize it was the same company I already used in this review. LIGHTNING FAST service. I found them online & clicked through to order nipper/tweezer sharpening for $5 per utensil. Sent out my stuff & got it back beautifully sharpened in less than a week. I sent out my 'good' nippers & a couple cheapies that I had. He sharpened them all but left a note to only buy stainless steel tools since any sharpening of the cheapie non-stainless tools would leave them vulnerable to rust. Next time I'll just send my good tools & toss the cheapies. This time I figured why not, I'll have backups. Anyhow - highly recommend. read more

sidney is as honest as the day is long. brought no less than 10 knives from my food truck that needed sharpening badly after daily use. went to his place in sunland and sidney was 100% safe in this post-COVID world. he had on an N95 respirator and made sure to get information on what the knives were used for. took all of 10-15 minutes while i waited and sidney only charged me $15. way too low! i insisted on paying more and he acquiesced and begrudgingly took $20 total. which is too low! i will keep coming back. the work and service are perfect. read more

Ken did an amazing job in sharpening all three shears and he also fixed them since my husband had used them for household use that they were 90 degree cut but Ken went out of his way to make them 45 degree cut. Sidney is an master blade sharpener and an expert when it comes to sharpening all types of blades. He uses state of the art, water cooled disk machine and will put a razor edge on your blade in a matter of minutes. He repaired and sharpened a set of shears for me as well as my everyday pocket knife. Slight tweaks in the scissor alignment, a new handle bumper and a careful trip across sharpener and they are as good as new. My knife is sharp enough to shave with and the imperfections in the blade were removed and honed to a fine edge. AND, this guy is right here in Shadow Hills. Used to be you could take your knives and scissors to the butcher and they'd do it for you, but those days are gone. At least, I couldn't find anyone in my neighborhood. Expert Sharpeners comes to your house and sharpens your knives and scissors in your driveway. Sidney has a workshop in the back of his van. He was done in about half an hour (approx. 10-15 knives and scissors) and everything came back to me good as new. He is also highly affordable.
