Our friend also brought his knives for sharpening. She set up on our driveway as we got acquainted. It's clear that Red values relationships as she shared her background and inquired about ours. She's a wonderful lady, so engaging, warm and kind. She lit up with delight when meeting our corgi, Luna. Red's technical skills are amazing. She has numerous grinders and accessories to sharpen knives, scissors, garden pruners, etc. She skillfully uses the equipment like a virtuoso making beautiful music. She's a master. I asked a sales clerk about it, showed him the website with model number, but he wasn't sure if it would be available. He asked for my name and number to follow up so I gave him a business card. I have a hard time believing he NEVER called me back. I think CR does have a lot of products and it is fun to see all the toys we chefs like to play with. My shaver stopped holding the charge which I thought was because the batter needed changing and was ready to throw it out b/c I didn't want to deal with mailing it somewhere for servicing. Luckily, I found Larry's Shaver Shop on line so thought it was worth the drive to Santa Monica. So glad I did. He asked to keep the shaver to assess what exactly was wrong and found out it wasn't the shaver but the charging case that wasn't working. He also recommended new blades that helpled to improve my getting a closer shave. He's honest and trustworthy and very dependable. He gave me basic tips on recharging and cleaning. I was so thrilled with finding an honest and reliable customer service business, I brought several carving knives for service b/c I want to support their business.
