Julio was amazing! He rides an electric bike pulling a small trailer holding a sharpening station, which is pretty cool all on its own! Julio was the nicest guy; so much respect for his passion for good workmanship. I had several envious neighbors ask me for his info. The knives had damage on the blades which he totally restored to being even sharper than when first purchased. Quite affordable at just $1 per inch for straight blades and $1.50 per inch for serrated blades. I will use no other knife sharpening from here forward. read more

My grandfather was an award winning knife maker, so I grew up in his shop and around proper methods for sharpening. I've struggled to find someone who can sharpen knives accordingly, as most vendors use grinding wheels, which isn't ideal for your knives, as it takes much more metal off the knife blade, thus wearing them down quickly, whereas Julio's method of whet/water stone sharpening extends the life of your knives, as it takes far less metal off, so it's a MUCH better solution. He's the only guy I've found in town who does things the "right" way and as such I'm going to be a lifelong customer of his services for as long as he's running True Edge.
