I was a little confused because I took an elevator which spat me outside when I thought this was an indoor mall. It turns out that some stores are outside, while the majority are inside. If you're looking for somewhere to go in the middle of a heatwave in LA, this place has amazing AC. At one point I was even rubbing my arms because it was so cold inside. I'm a sucker for anything cute, so I was glad there were so many Japanese stores that reminded me of my trip to Tokyo. A couple of the stores even had the rows of vending machines that drop out capsules with various items inside. It was disappointing to see one of the stores had a broken token machine, so you couldn't use the vending machines even if you wanted to. Both the stores and restaurants are a mix of reasonably priced to expensive. If you go to one of the actual restaurants instead of one of the fast food places at the food court, I'd recommend making reservations since the one I went to is notorious for having long lines. Both at the store and the restaurant I went to, the employees greeted me and were friendly, asking if I'd want any help or letting me know about discounts they had that day. All malls are pretty much the same, so I wouldn't go out of my way just to visit this one, but if you're in the area, need somewhere to hide from the heat, the free AC and parking here are definitely a draw.

While walking the place, I found they had so many other Asian brand stores like Miniso, Meet Fresh, Uniqlo and Kinokuniya bookstore. But most surprising of all was finding a whole 99 Ranch inside the mall. After dinner, we did some shopping here. Later at night, I came back here to play some games in Dave & Buster's. But the signs can improve a bit for better direction. I was so confused how to get to the parking near D&B entrance. Also, the parking garage seemed under maintained. But overall a really great place for both locals and tourists.

I would sharpen my Santoku using a pull through sharpener but after having SGV Best Cutlery do it, there is no comparison. The blade slices through meat and vegetables this minimal effort. I had a couple of kitchen knives that needed sharpening, one a high-end knife and the other a cheap one. The owner, an elderly gentleman who gave off an aura of a supreme master of knives, carefully examined each knife and said he could sharpen both. I paid the fee and was told they would be ready in a couple days. Four days later I called and was told the knives were ready for pick up. Both were sharpened nicely, like new. The cheap knife, which originally had some damage to the blade, was repaired and looked like the day it was bought 20 years ago. We are happy to have both of these knives back in our kitchen, ready to slice away. While I was there, I asked if they had any kitchen scissors and I was shown a couple of options. The differences between them were explained so I could make the best choice. I bought a pair and have been very happy with them!
