I was originally going to Axent to have them install tires that I was going to purchase from a different source, but instead, Joseph found some Bridgestone tires for me at $55 each! They installed my tires, I got an alignment, and my state inspection, all for under $450!! I'm a super happy customer! On top of it all, they had it ready for me the same day and were honest and communicated with me about everything! I asked them to give me a brake estimate as well. I had taken my car to North Austin and was told that all my brakes needed to be replaced immediately at an estimate of $600. Axent looked at my brakes and said, they still had few more thousand miles on them and didn't need to be replaced right away. FRAUD ALERT!!! FRAUD ALERT!!!! A few wks ago a man came in my store selling large laminated discount cards for Axent Auto''s two locations(they seemed legit,the cards even had photos of the Axent staff). I bought one for 40 bucks. Today i called to set up an appointment with them and a man with a mid-east accent answered the phone and then proceeded to tell me he had no intention of honoring the card. He suggested i call the number on the card for a refund. Called the number and got some guy's voicemail. I doubt i'll hear back from them. THESE GUYS ARE SCUM-OF-THE-EARTH CROOKS! I came to this place after a recommendation from a friend. I called on my way over to ask how long it would take to do an oil change, tire rotation, and state inspection. They told me less than an hour, which was great as everywhere else in town seemed to be much longer on the busy day. Sure enough, I arrived as the only customer in the waiting room. When I asked the man up front about how long it would take for the oil change, tire rotation, and inspection, he said 40 minutes, but they had just run out of state inspection stickers. I badly need an oil change, and figured I could take care of the inspection another time, so I agreed to wait, and was happy to do so. About 20 minutes later, a woman came in to ask for a state inspection. They seemed to know each other. The same guy informed her that they had just ran out of stickers, and she acted disappointed, but not upset, and asked him who else they would recommend going to. She also admitted that she didn't have her proof of insurance on her, which means that legally she could not have passed a Texas state inspection. He then poked his head out into the garage and yelled out to ask if they still had the one inspection sticker left. I was sitting there and could obviously hear him as he was able to confirm that they did in fact have a sticker left. He then told the woman that he would be happy to inspect her car. While I was able to get my oil changed and tires rotated quickly and without issue, for an affordable price, I was very put off by the person working the desk lying to me about being out of inspection stickers, and then openly giving one he knew he had to a customer who came in well after me. Based on the other reviews here, it seems like if you are a regular customer, you get treated well. Sure, this was my first time to come here, but I would have loved to have become a regular customer if the business was good. I won't ever be back, and I won't be recommending it to any friends. read more

the place is a complete joke and so shady. not only did they fix nothing on the two vehicles i purchased from them but one has been in the shop for 6 weeks now and i had driven it only 1 week!!! do not drive off the lot or sign anything until everything is fixed or get it in writing they will rip you off given the chance. To top it off george gave me a loaner vehicle after 3 weeks of no car then abruptly needs it back and threatens to file it stolen if i didnt return it that day, biggest problem i had with that was i just had my first born BABY boy 3 DAYS AGO! now i have nothing to drive him in and knowing this george still requested the car back with mine still in the shop going on week 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE Update: After 12 weeks in the shop the finance company decided not to finance it because the car was too problematic so George did not return my deposit of $3500 he said it was a repo even though the bank would not let me make a payment until it got out of the shop. This is a family owned business and I get exceptional service every time!! I first used these guys to change my oil at their Lamar facilities and had a great experience back then. They have since closed that location and I'm here at the Ben White location. They kept my appointment time imagine that! That alone warrants five stars from me! They are very friendly and accommodating. I even had a Groupon and got the same great service. Went in for a simple oil change/inspection and left with good service. Everything checked out fine and no issues.

The customer service was good. The guy that helped me was nice and helpful. I paid almost $100 to have them do a full inspection of a vehicle, before I purchased it. They found two things wrong with it, not a big deal. I took it to a different shop after I bought it (the second shop is closer to where I live, I can walk there). They found that the wheel baring is bad and fairly close to giving out. Not quite sure how they missed that, seeing as I paid $100 to have them do a full inspection. Customer service is good but not too happy about them missing that. Inspections shouldn't be that expensive anyway, especially if you're going to miss things. read more

I went in with a Groupon and thought everything went fine, until I came back and saw that the latch of my glove box was broken. I called to Joseph, and he said that it was not his mistake. He said he may have a look at it, but didn't admit its his fault. Then he started saying that he is the owner of the shop and why would he lie. A simple statement admitting even a possible fault would have been good. The problem didn't end here. Today a week after, I opened the hood of the car and saw the gasket connecting the air filter hoses is not connected leaving a gap. It is hard to explain this, but think of it as a missing connector in the engine (non essential for a few days at least) missing. This is simply hopeless. I would never come here again. They tried selling me a TOTAL LOSS VEHICLE. They make you think that they are showing you ALL of the facts on the car but for some reason the website they show you the facts with, hides stuff! My bank called me to tell me that the car is Total loss and luckily saved me from making a horrible decision. I never write reviews but this deserves one. By far the WORST mechanic experience I've ever had. Brought my car in twice before and everything seemed fine. So I went back again because it was cheaper than other mechanics...now I know why. I had a check engine light on so I stopped by auto zone and had them read the code....came back spark plugs...ok fine. So brought the car in for a tune up. I had already bought the spark plugs, wires, etc. They got me in the next morning and said it would be ready the same day. No call...all day. So I call back at 5pm when they are about to close and get "oh yea, it's been ready". Awesome. I get there, pay for it, and get in to notice that the freaking dash isn't even screwed back on...so they come out and fix that. Then I get about 1/4 mile when my check engine light starts FLASHING...then my A/C cuts out and the car is SHAKING when I idle. I brought it back and told them what was going on. I find it very hard to believe that the mechanic did not notice the shaking and flashing light when he drove it out of the garage...it was BAD. Anyway, It takes them most of the day to "diagnose" it and I have to call back to get an answer. They are now giving me some long-winded story about how the timing chain is stretched out!? What?! Well I have a 5 hour drive ahead of me the next day for work so I have no choice but to leave it so they can fix it and RENT a vehicle. I'm told it will definitely be ready by Monday and they will call me. They quoted me $650 to replace the timing chain which is very cheap. So Today is Tuesday and I call them up (because no one called me of course). They say that it is ready, so I go to get it. I ask to see that it is fixed first and requested the old timing chain so I could see how it was "stretched out". He says OK and that he will be out to look at it with me in a minute. I turn on the car and everything seems fine . It's running like it was BEFORE the tune up. When the guy comes out he tells me that they didn't actually have to replace the timing chain (because I asked for it) and that all they had to do was do a timing "adjustment" whatever that is. Ok great, less money right? My bill is still $425 and I see that they charged me $94 for new spark plugs!!!?? I BROUGHT IN NEW SPARK PLUGS AND YOU ALREADY REPLACED THEM!! He says he replaced them with better ones (which I did not ask for) so I told him to go and get my brand new spark plugs that I brought in so I could take them back to auto zone. He disappears for a minute then comes back and says he can't find them. OH MY GOD. I finally lost it and he finally says he will take the spark plugs off the bill. I'm still out $300 plus a car rental for whatever the hell they did do....I don't even know if they actually replaced anything. I have talked to several people who know cars and they all say that what happened with the shuddering and the flashing light is exactly what would happen if the spark plugs were done wrong. My guess is sabotage then pretend to be nice by charging less to "fix" it. I had previously brought my car in for an inspection and they said the power steering pump was bad...now I'm wondering if that was true. I've probably lost thousands of dollars to these criminals. Don't get sucked in by the "niceness". They are vipers. read more

The tech, Paul, even took the time to show and explain how my belt is starting to go bad and gave me a quote to shop around to replace it. I Really Really appreciate everything Accent Auto did for me and my car. Eddy and Steven went above and beyond to help me fix my car after a previous mechanic had completely destroyed it. I picked my car up broken from a mechanic that said he could do everything I needed done for my car and I did not know where to take it or what to do next. I was freaking out, then a good friend recommended Accent Auto. So I called and from the very start Eddy was great. He made me feel at ease and told me not to worry because he could fix everything that the other mechanic had broke. The customer service at Accent Auto is the best that I have ever seen, they really care about their customers and keep you up to date on what is happening with your car while it is in their shop. Steven the mechanic that was working on my car fixed everything that was broken with my car and I could not be happier with the way my car turned out. I have not had any issues with the work they did on my car and I am extremely satisfied with the work and the customer service at Accent Auto. I have been bringing my car to Axent Auto for the last two years, after a friend had boasted about them, and every time I come in I feel at home. They will make you car worse than it was when it first came in. I would not buy a car from them ever again or take my care there for any repairs. Let me first say I found this place a couple years ago after spending a Saturday trying to find someone to do an inspection. I called and talked with Eddy and I was there within 15mins. It took a little longer than normal since they had to get an oil filter, but for the wait he discounted my wiper blades which needed to be replaced. I also had them do the brakes on my car and him and his team did such a great job, no issues. Then when I needed another oil change he didn't charge me at all! Then I had a mishap with my car--- I ran it off the road in the rain. Bent two control arms, needed new tires, an alignment, and new rim. Instead of easily telling me a rim would be $300+ he told me to check on eBay, bring it to him and he would put it on my car. Sure enough I called all over town and couldn't find one for less than $250. Found one on eBay for $140 he put it on my car for free, redid the alignment and he also fixed my splash guard under my car ! This is an awesome place if you need some work done. This is the only place that has ever charged me extra for a "required premium filter" during an oil change. I've had my oil changed twice since then elsewhere with no up charge. In addition, the atmosphere was unprofessional, with the owner complaining openly about his business fallouts with his previous partner and other things that simply made the whole experience awkward. I have a lot of mixed emotions about Accent Auto. I purchased a BMW X5 2012 in August of this year. Since the purchase we come across problems that occur with the vehicle mostly with the axel and exhaust. We have taken it back many times to have it mixed, but they insisted it has been corrected. NOT only I am still having the same problems but now I am getting the check ENGINE light on. My husband has called Eddie many times, to let him know what problems are occurring, til this day no one has not returned our phone calls. I'm disappointed that I am not able to drive my car but now having to take it to a repair car specialist to repair the problems that were not taking care when we took it to Eddie.
