I had a window regulator go bad on my F150 passenger side window, with the window down, so I needed it fixed quickly. I looked online, saw All Points getting good reviews, went to their website and completed their form. They responded quickly, providing a quote that I thought was reasonable. I took it in the next day and within two hours it was fixed. They then followed up with a text to make sure all was working great. I told them about a minor problem I was having and they gave me short but complete instructions on how to reset it to resolve the issue. The fix worked perfectly. Someone referred me to All Points . I dropped my truck off and when they opened after the Christmas holiday I was told the truck wasn't making the clicking sound anymore , since it was a auction vehicle the wiring harness needed to be removed . I told him to take out the relay . He cut the wire to the horn and totally messed up the wiring for everything else . My horn worked before I left it at All Points and I didn't have the electrical problems I'm having now . The relay that caused my battery to drain didn't have a short , it had gotten wet and when it dried it was fine . I would not consider him any good with automotive electronics. read more

I called to ask their schedule. When I called they told me as long as I drop it off before noon. When I show up at 11:00am I ask how long it would take. They asked me if I was going to wait. When I asked I'm how long it would take and if they having a waiting room they say about 2 hours and no waiting room. SO I GUESS NO I WONT WAIT. AND I GAVE THEM MY CELL TO CALL ME. When I get an Uber to go somewhere, I come back at 1pm only to see they had not started. AND THEY CLOSE AT 2pm. Sooooooo not onkyg did they NOT GET TO MY CAR THEY HAD ME GET AN UBER, wait 2 hours, to return and tell me I should leave it I et night. I personally prefer that Eddie told me 2 hours and had it done in 1 hour (versus other mechanics who will say 1 hour and take 2). Underpromise, overdeliver! I dropped off my Lexus coupe last month and Eddie took care of it! My car had died, and upon a jumpstart, the screen/radio unit went out. I went to Lexus for a diagnostic and their solution was incredibly expensive. I called Eddie and he assured me he could do it for half the price at worst. Though the unit was used, I was perfectly fine with that and saving over $1k. Also, the car had a missing nav feature. I never realized this was due to an $8 memory card. This is the best place I have found for auto electric services in over 50 years of driving, having lived in many different states and cities. It was a process to diagnose the problem and they took the time to figure it out, kept me informed, and followed up after about a week to see if the car was still performing to my satisfaction. The fix and the time they spent to fix it was a great value. A regular mechanic would have probably charged way more and probably would not have fixed the problem. Honest mechanic found! Have brought my car here multiple times for different reasons. On the last visit I brought my car here to have my condenser replaced. Unfortunately they didn't have the right machine to run the new freon through my car. Instead of just telling me no they called the dealership and got a quote for me which was very helpful later on when the dealership tried to take advantage of me with a quote 60$ higher. On another visit I had run over a large rock and some of the paneling was damaged. When I asked Eddie if he thought I would need to replace it he was honest and said no. Had a check engine light come on and went to Auto Zone to see what the error message was. I gave All Points a call and Eddie was able to provide me a quote over the phone. I brought my car in a day or so later with the AutoZone paperwork and they were able to order the part and get me the car back the same day. They were transparent with pricing as I told them my engine was a different size than it was so when they looked at it the part ended up being a bit more and they gave me a call right away to let me know the difference. I had just picked my family up from the airport when a light went off on my dashboard indicating that my engine was overheating. Talk about throwing a wrench in our plans! I live in East Austin so I tried to search for an auto mechanic, while heading towards my apartment. Luckily we stumbled upon All Points Auto Repair on 7th street! We pulled up and told the mechanic about our dire situation. The mechanic/owner (Eddie) opened the hood and said that my car was known for having a part that leaked, which was probably causing the water to be low and engine to overheat. I literally know nothing about cars so the fact that I can remember that means he did a great job explaining the problem! Even though he said he was very busy that day, he still said he would help us get the part, install the part, and cool the engine before they closed in 3 hours. Not only that, but he also said he could give us a ride since I lived very close to the shop. I actually had him drop us off at Hillside Pharmacy for a nice lunch, which is walking distance to my apartment. I had to try and salvage some of my plans! After 2.5 hours Eddie called us to come pick up the car. The car was completely cooled and fixed in less time than he told us. I can't thank him enough for helping us that day, even though his lot was full with other cars. It's been a month since I was here and there's been no issues with the engine overheating. All Points was a pleasant first experience for me. I've just moved to Austin, and was looking for a quick and easy car shop to take care of my Texas inspection and fix a few minor problems. I was able to squeeze in early on Monday and had the car back by that afternoon. They fixed an annoying electrical dash problem I've had forever, and a more complex cruise control problem. A couple of months ago I had to get a new inspection sticker. I was in and out in 10 minutes, no hassle. Last month, my car wouldn't start, so I thought of them for my repairs. The guys were great, I thought I needed to replace my starter, I had bought the part and everything, but they convinced me to let them check and make sure it was the starter and I'm glad I did because it ended up being the ignition coil. Wow!!! What can I say, I stopped in for a strange squeaky sound and funny smell coming from under my hood, plus a weird light on my dash. Within just a few minutes the friendly guys had my hood popped and showed me a loose belt then had it repaired in no time and confirmed that the light on my dash was due to a dirty sensor. Fantastic, fast and friendly service. They even helped me take the loose plastic underguard off of my front fender from a bump I had in a parking lot.
