My car desperately needed an oil change, so I brought my car to Accent Auto. I also found a Groupon for it, so perfect! The whole process is so smooth. I called them on Monday and they told me they can do the oil change at 1p. I drove there at 1p and they could see my car immediately and got everything done in 30 minutes. They also did 20 points inspection and refilled the air in my tires. I also could work while I wait since they have wifi for the guests. Thanks! read more

First off, I'd like to say that I've been coming to Accent Auto since 2020 to service my vehicle. Over the years I've had the pleasure of building a foundation with the staff and trust them as they are honest, quick, flexible and transparent! I refer everyone I know here and I also love the location being that there's a restaurant next door to eat at while your vehicle is getting serviced (ask for Anthony cause he's also a rockstar). I've recently decided to buy a new car and they were flexible on when I could come by to do an inspection report. They didn't BS me about what was wrong with the car (was on point as they were the things I was also thinking/noticed). Again, I absolutely trust their honest inputs and valuations and will continue to not only bring my business to them, and will continue to refer as many people as I can! If anyone in Austin knows cars, both mechanically and body, it's them. Hands down the best! You'd be amiss if you go elsewhere! read more

Quality service and communication! They will check everything to make sure your car is up and running!

Thorough, informed staff that will walk you through any questions you might have and explain the processes to you.

Stay away from this place. Owner is sleazy. Didn't provide a quote, and then when he finally told me he wouldn't be able to get started working on it for some time, that it would take a few weeks, I told him I would come pick it up and take it somewhere else. He harassed me over text. He then said he'd already torn into it and that id need to pay him 200$ cash to take it out of his garage. read more

Probably had the best experience I ever had having my car fixed. I a A/C hose that was leaking. I brought it to Dave's Auto first and they wanted close to $1,000. A colleague at work suggested Accent Auto and they repaired it for less than half the cost. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the repair was done same day in a few hours. Best customer service by far. I will go here from now on for all my car repairs. read more

We agreed upon a date over the phone to get an oil change. I go in on the agreed-upon dates and the gentleman told me that the date was the day before. I would never have agreed-upon that date as I work until they close the day before. He then refused to take any responsibility for it and was a jerk. I then told him that he was bad at his job and he informed me that he has been doing this for 35. 35 years and your narcissism won't allow you to accept any sort of responsibility. I began to raise my voice and so did he. Walked out before it got worse. He's not a good dude. He's a liar and bad at data entry, evidently. read more

I brought my car in after purchasing a Groupon for front brake pads after the dealership told me they had to be replaced. I had just spent $4k on the car and was pretty devastated to learn more than just the pads needed to be replaced. Accent gave me a fair quote (and I had asked around) to replace the pads, the rotors and a caliper. They were knowledgeable and explained the problem to me in a way I could understand. I couldn't afford the repair at that moment, so I took my car away and ended up taking it to my bf's mechanic who charged me 60% more for the exact same work. Expensive lesson. read more

Shop refused to honor groupon. Service Writer States my Mercedes-Benz cla250 is a full size sedan. Car is classified as compact sedan. Please be aware that shop is using questionable tactics to lure in customer then attempting to upsale based on lies. Left review on Google and the owner responded that the reason for price increase was because car has special specs. Tried to explain to shop owner that I asked service writer if it was because of type of car and he said no strictly because car is a full size sedan, In his words "if it has 4 doors", and owner is incapable of comprehending the statement. The shop has a right to charge what they want for services. But they should not be trying to convince potential customers that their car is something it is not. Again this review has nothing to do with workmanship of the technicians but solely based on the shady tactics of the service advisor. Point blank the shop should have just said they didn't want to honor their groupon not try to convince me that I drive a large car. I have attached dimensions of my vehicle and a description of what a compact car is. read more

I've been going to accent auto for many years now. Eddie has always gone out of his way to not only provide great service and price, but also explain exactly what is going on with my car(s), what is needed (and why), as well as my options. I know this business can often be a thankless one, so I just wanted to say thanks to the Eddie and his team for going above and beyond to try to help me out through the years. Communication has aways been great and the price has been more than fair. Thanks! read more

I have gone to a shop on S Lamar for years and a friend told me about this place and a Groupon that could be used. Took it in and Steven was great. My A/C has been on the fritz and he took the time after I paid to research the part I needed. Definitely coming back here anytime I need work done! Great value. read more

The standard transmission of my old Ford got stuck in gear. Called AAA and the tow truck driver recommended Accent on Ben White. I didn't have a better option so went out on a limb as a first-time customer. Steven is clearly Accent Auto's "old car" guy. After a quick visual inspection he called to say he'd seen it before with some of his own cars, and that it most likely was not serious. One and a half days and it was ready to pick up. No parts, only 2 hours of labor. (Not a bad clutch, as I'd suspected--some linkage had come loose.) The "play" in the column shifter was gone and the Ford once again shifts easily and surely through all 3 gears. Highly recommend! Thanks AAA driver! read more

My experience with this auto/body shop has been nothing less than excellent. I got in an accident and they returned my car back to me as If it was brand new. The owner, Eddie, kept in contact with me throughout the whole process. He txted me updates and never failed to respond promptly to me if I had any questions. I have nothing but good things to say and I highly recommend using them for anything you need handled with your vehicle! read more

Booked an oil change on Groupon, it took a couple days to get ahold of them but if you listen to the voicemail they give you an alternative number to text and they call you back almost immediately. The owner Eddie topped off my fluids free of charge and provided extremely friendly service. I will be returning for my next oil change! read more

I went here after purchasing a Groupon for a discounted brake job, since my car was in need of new brake pads. After assessing my car, I was told and shown that my rotors were actually in pretty bad shape since my pad had been worn down pretty thin. I appreciated being shown the difference between a good rotor and bad rotor, and after deciding that I trusted their judgment I went ahead and got the rotors replaced as well. Unfortunately, shortly after getting this job done, I began to hear a screeching noise every time I backed up my car. The noise progressively got worse, and after taking it back and not being able to replicate the noise, I ended up taking it again a third time when the noise was way more obvious. Each time, they had me drive my car around to try to replicate the noise, which luckily I was able to the second time. They took my car to the back again and after waiting to see what the issue was, the employee said that he was going to go ahead and replace all the pads and rotors since my back tires were also starting to wear thin and I had been back 3 times already. I was so incredibly appreciative of their generosity. I waited about 4 hours for everything to be done, but afterwards my car was back to it's old self and even better, with no screeching and my brakes work perfectly and I can tell the difference with how much stronger my new brakes are now. Thank you Accent Auto! read more

I went to accent auto because I had a Groupon for an oil change. The oil change was fast and the guy in charge, Eddie, was friendly. I only put three stars because they left my oil cap off once they were done and I drove to Houston afterwards and hot oil spattered all over my engine and some hoses I had to replace under my hood. They were nice and apologized and replenished my oil and cleaned up what they could free of charge but I feel like it is a problem that should not have happened in the first place and it caused a lot more problem with my car that I had to fix and pay for. read more

I went there to replace tier and fix shaking problem in my van, they told me that the clippers needs to be replaced beacuse they old and touching the wheel while im breaking it cost me 1100 for one tier and 2 clippers, after the job done the car was shaking exactly the same and when i break its shaking even more!!! read more

Great service and fast turnaround. They even haggled the parts shop to lower my price!

Friendly staff, and after I made an appointment, I didn't have to wait very long for my oil change (I think I was there for half an hour). They have a great Groupon deal right now! However, I was a little disappointed because usually, when you buy a Groupon, the Groupon covers the entire service. That's how it's supposed to work. Accent Auto charged me an extra $5 that they said was standard. I thought that was odd but oh well! read more

Went here to get work done on my evap system and brakes. Unfortunately the owner is a scumbag piece of shit that stole $1950 from me and repaired nothing on my Audi. Refused to review his work without more money. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. DO NOT TRUST EDDIE. read more

A little far out but worth drive for 2 reasons 1) their honesty 2) the taco truck in the parking lot!! I have been here twice now, for 2 oil changes and for them to replace my battery. Both times i felt like they were genuine and honest, didn't try to sell me on random fluids and filters, and were efficient. Especially when I asked them to check my battery and explained why it needed to be replaced, along with the different options and brands for me to choose from. I was short on time, but said they would do the best they could...got me out of there with 8 minutes to spare for my next appointment. God to have found a shop that I can trust, highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend accent audio. For years I've been trying to find a reliable trustworthy mechanic. Being female and going to get your car fixed mechanics automatically think you're an idiot and don't know anything about cars and try to scam you, overcharge you, and talk to you like you don't know anything. I've been working on my own vehicles for the last 20 years. I don't know everything about cars. But I know enough that when my car messes up I can pretty much figure out what's wrong with it. When I go to accent auto, Eddie is absolutely incredible. Not only is he 100% honest, but 100% professionally respectful as he walks you through everything. He takes care of you 100%. I would never again trust anyone with any vehicle I ever own ever again, except for Eddie and his crew at accent auto off of Ben White Boulevard. Stop wasting time at your mechanic and join mine today! read more

Eddie was extremely rude. I purchased a Groupon and they tried to up charge me an extra $80 on top of what was previously paid for brake pads to be replaced. He got loud and defensive when I simply asked about the $150 Groupon not covering resurfacing for my brakes. This took an hour just to get the quote. It was going to be an hour longer for the pads to be replaced. 2 hours!!? For one set on brake pads? I was upset and it was clear, but I still tried to talk to him. He proceeds to give me back my car & says "fuck off" after handing me my keys as he walked away. Because I can't afford another $80 in these times? I've never experienced anything like this before. Clearly they don't care about their customers. read more

I came here around late December with a really broken Mitsubishi. I dropped it off for a couple days and while their shop was closed they checked it out. They ended up doing some replacements on mounts and an alternator as well as replacing my steering wheel column after giving them to go to work on my car. Labor was pretty cheap and I was really happy with their work. They cleaned up my battery and gave me a new cable too. I came back about a week after to get a horn installed and a new rear passenger side brake light. They can't install air horns, but they got my rear light installed for free! I was super happy about that. And they were super friendly. When I asked several different clerks about the work they did on my car, they were very explicit and I never felt like I was missing out on anything they were doing for me. Now it's been a month and I've come back because I hit my knee on my steering wheel and it just fell apart. At first I was super pissed, I felt like I'd been cheated out of my money. But then I thought about Eddie and the other mechanics and thought about how genuine they were. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called them. They told me to come in right away. They are open on Presidents' Day FYI. I dropped my car off and the next day they called me and said it was fixed. I came in and was EXTREMELY surprised. They went ahead and fixed everything free of charge. And they were super nice about everything. I was so worried I was gonna have to fight these guys, but no. They were hassle free!! I jumped on the road to find out my air horn no longer worked. I brought it back and they fixed it in 5 minutes. Super easy, super nice, and they know what they're doing. I highly recommend this place, they are genuine! read more

Accent is my go to for any auto repairs. I have taken my car and my truck here a few times over the past year for relatively small repairs. SCAMMERS!! WILL UPCHARGE AND REFUSE SERVICE. MY ROTORS WERE FINE ACCORDING TO THE NEXT SHOP!!! Eddie the owner was super confrontational. REFUSES TO GIVE ME A COPY OF MY CONTRACT. He charged me a diagnostic fee on this Groupon. Insisted on charging $180 and refusing to perform the service without the up charge. When I told him I can't afford it he charged me half the coupon value for a diagnostic and refused to waive it. He redeemed the voucher before looking at the car. read more

i found Accent Auto because of on oil change groupon and i couldn't be happier. they have amazing deals i think i paid $25 for a synthetic oil change and after meeting them i also got my AC repaired because Texas heat. They did a solid job it cost me $900, but now i have my summer back! great customer service they gave me a loaner car till mine was done. I highly recommend them read more

Don't know why I didn't give them 5 the first time, but after the incredible deal they gave me on tires and the prices for an oil change, they've earned it. I've spent a lot of time in the waiting room talking with the owner and you can see he has a very clear goal of making sure the provide what their customers are looking for. I haven't tried one yet, but I'm also highly intrigued by the (still cheaper than Jiffy Lube) green oil change. Also not sure what that entails, but I'm willing to give it a shot because I know Axent wouldn't sell me anything less than their best. I'll never get auto work done anywhere else again. read more

I had a good experience here, did a group-on for an oil change. Made an appointment and left the car, I also had them inspect the brakes that I knew needed servicing! Got a call about an hour later with the price and time estimate on the brakes and a call later saying it was ready. The price and time frame were accurate and the staff was friendly, I will use them again! read more

Love these guys. I picked them out about a year ago because they were walking distance to Black Sheep Lodge, so I figured I could go have a burger and a cold pint while I waited for my car to get fixed. The owner is very professional and friendly, and always takes care of me when I go in. The mechanics are friendly and knowledgable. They are reasonably priced and do solid work. I have an older car that is falling apart, so they have seen me several times (tune-up, fuel pump/filter/pressure guage, brakes, a/c...). All the work they've done has been something I already knew was wrong with my car, for the most part, so I have never had that "are they making shit up?" feeling, and they never upsell me on a bunch of stuff I don't need. They also do a free diagnostic - the other reason I chose them in the first place. Eddy (the owner) even gave me a ride to the DMV so I could get my license replaced while I waited on them to do the last round of repairs. (I had been headed there when the car started to die and forced me to re-route to the mechanic). I have recommended many friends go there and I stand by them. Other people coming in have all seemed happy too. Give them a shot - they're good guys. read more

Joe, Eddie and George at Accent Auto are always honest with me and don't try to upsell me on anything. In fact, whenever possible, they try their best to save me some $$ when possible. I know this because they are very transparent about what their parts and labor costs are and I've checked them on the internet and they've always given the cheapest possible quote. They've always gone out of their way to give me great service, and Joe calls me every now and then just to check up on how my cars are running, etc. These guys are great. Period. read more

Worst car buying experience of my life. Paid cash, car spent the majority of the next 6 weeks with them as they continued to experiment on the car apparently... Ended up finding an MB mechanic who actually pulled out all the parts they messed with... we had holes punched/cut into hoses and all sorts of other issues and ended up selling the car to that mechanic for half of what we paid because it was such a mess and we weren't getting any use out of it anyway. They really are very friendly when you're ABOUT to spend money, but after the fact, good luck. Before buying here, just make sure you ask yourself if you're ready to throw money away. read more

I, of course, waited until the day after my inspection sticker expired to start looking for an inspection shop. I found Axent on Yelp, read the reviews, and decided to try the shop. They were very quick to set my expectation that there was another car in front of mine and asked if I minded waiting. I decided to try my luck and wait in line. The waiting area was comfortable and the guys at the desk were friendly and conversational. In no time, my car was ready. No muss, no fuss. I watched as they helped a couple of difficult customers and was quite impressed that they dealt with the situations as professionals. Great customer service. I'll be back! read more

DON'T EVER, EVER GO HERE!!!- A few years ago, I used them to do an oil change, because I had a Groupon. They did the oil change, but they didn't tighten the drain plug, and it fell off on the highway on the way home. My engine was ruined, of course, and they made me pay for the replacement engine, although they did the replacement labor for free...not at all satisfactory for their mistake. I asked them to use their shop insurance to cover the costs, but they refused. VERY, VERY DISSATISFIED!!!!! I can't believe this POS shop is still in business. read more

Absolute scammers. I gave them $10,000 and they delayed, delayed, delayed every single time they gave me a pick up date for my car.
