I was lucky enough to find street parking nearby, which is always a win in Pasadena. The cafe is bright, clean, and airy, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot to grab coffee and snacks, study, get some work done, or simply chill and relax. I stopped by after work and ordered an Einspänner (Vienna Cream Coffee) along with two salted breads: cream corn and chocolate. Everything was delicious, and the coffee was a lovely treat after a long workday. Service was quick and friendly, too! Between the inviting atmosphere, tasty drinks and pastries, and comfortable seating, Danbi Coffee is definitely worth checking out. A sweet little spot to add to your Pasadena cafe list!

This did not disappoint! I got the pandan latte. Definitely heavier on the vanilla flavor but the pandan still comes through. My mom got the crème brulee latte and it was probably one of the better ones I've had. It wasn't just sweet - you could get the essence of that burnt sugar topping. For food we had the spam kimchi cheese croissant and it was so good! The croissant was nice and flaky. There was the perfect ratio of filling. It is a very craveable sandwich. All of this in itself deserved a 5 star review already, but one more thing happened I need to mention. We were just about to leave and I wanted a straw in my drink. I want to put it in the lid and instead I spilled it all over the counter. A woman who I presumed to be the owner immediately came over to clean the mess and told the girl at the counter to remake me a new drink. Given I was taking care of my mom and my daughter today, that small kindness meant a lot to me. Overall, highly recommend Dash. Good coffee and good people.

I been coming here every week for their matcha if I have time and just some nice pastry to go with it. I really like the concept of this place being a coffee shop during the day and a brewery later on. It gives the space a relaxed, chill atmosphere that I can appreciate. Unfortunately, the food and drinks just didn't do it for me this time. I ordered the $9 sub, which was premade and had that unmistakable straight-from-the-fridge hard bread situation. Plus, it could use some mayo, or at least some kind of sauce. For $9, I expected better and definitely wouldn't spend the money on it again. The hojicha latte was another miss. I've had hojicha plenty of times and usually love its smooth, roasty flavor, but this one wasn't sweet or creamy enough for my taste and came across a little too straight-up. The raspberry cream on top didn't add much flavor either. I also grabbed a day-old pastry. It was pretty hard and had a slightly stale crème-brûlée-like top, although I'll give it credit -- once warmed up, it was actually pretty delicious. Overall, 3 stars. I like the concept and the convenience, but unfortunately nothing I had was quite good enough to make me want to come back anytime soon.

Mandarin quickly became a TikTok darling, and it has since been featured by the LA Times and The Infatuation. Mandarin is tucked away in the quaint Burlington Arcade on South Lake. The brightly lit, semi-enclosed walkway feels like the streets of London. A firetruck-red telephone booth completes the ambiance. On a weekend morning, the buzzing shop is a stark contrast to the sleepy surrounding storefronts. Mandarin's tiny interior is limited to 4 customers, and it feels immediately serene compared to the shoulder-to-shoulder line. Warm filamented bulbs, pressed-tin ceiling, and dry-brushed slate walls create an industrial-minimalist vibe fitting for the street. Fifties tunes blend with the hum of espresso machines. My fiancee and I arrived before 10AM on the weekend, and we still faced a 20-minute queue down the alley. Once inside, our drinks were promptly prepared to order. We loved the signature "Toasty", an elevated take on milk tea. The spice mix and oat milk combined into a deliciously not-too-sweet drink. Meanwhile, the silky Vienna Latte recalled La Colombe's classic draft latte, but it was decidedly more standard. Lastly, the White Miso Kouign-Amann (billed as a "creme brulee croissant") left us wanting; caramelized sugar collected disproportionately at the bottom. The service was warm and approachable, and pastries and beverages run $5-7 range. Broadly, my fiancee and I agreed that the coffee was good but not quite great, and the pastries weren't worth the premium. While a few other drinks piqued my interest, I can't see myself going out of my way to Mandarin in the future.

I absolvely love how unique and well-balanced this particular drink is - with its Ethiopian cold brew and orange blossom water. What stood out to me was how the zestiness of the orange/lemon/and lime combined complemented the richness of the cold brew. The sugar adds just enough sweetness without overpowering the coffee. I must have ordered the Sicily so many times that they should just name the coffee after me. The staff here is wonderful and the baristas genuinely seem passionate about what they're serving. I know what I like so I haven't gotten around to experimenting with the other coffees, but I can feel the intention behind the menu! Mandarin 2 has a very minimalist aesthetic, and the space is on the smaller side. There are few tables, some smaller stool seating, and a standing counter. I would look elsewhere if you're hunkering down for a place to work but if you're looking for a lively chat with friends, this would be the spot. There is soft, upbeat music playing and this place is popular so people come and go! For Pasadena, parking is surprisingly easy because this is located closer to the edge of the city near a residential neighborhood. Peacocks also frequent this residential neighborhood, which is a fun sight to see. Mandarin 2 is like the cool sibling that I look up to, visionary and cool! This place is definitely on my list of coffee shops for my weekly fix and worth checking out.

The Toasty is a milk tea and espresso mixed with brown sugar syrup and cinnamon. Although it is a signature drink, the rooibos tea gave it an herbal flavor. Parking: There is plenty of street parking in the area behind the coffee shop.

The Matcha Latte ($7) was so disappointing. I requested it with less ice and less sweet so I got it 80% full. It literally tasted like milk and I couldn't taste any matcha at all unfortunately. They used to use very high quality matcha but the matcha used now is completely different. I was really looking forward to enjoying the matcha latte because it used to be one of my favorites but this was most likely the worst matcha latte I've had.
