Very disappointing experience. We ordered takeout and got the meatloaf sandwich which wasn't too bad but we each ordered the Mac and cheese thinking it would be delicious being the name of the restaurant had cheesy in it but it was extremely dry and had no taste. I took a couple bites and threw it in the trash and I really like Cole slaw which came with our order and it was worse than the Mac and cheese. We were really looking forward to trying this place but would definitely not go back. read more

We got a Mediterranean and a Gobbler and both were amazingly good. When I first looked at the Med, it looked like too many banana peppers, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced with the balsamic and the meat/bread. The Gobbler was delicious but was a bit sweet and that's not something I like in a sandwich. The wife loved it. We both loved the French fries, perhaps the best in Ormond beach we've found. The cole slaw was "fine" "eh" from the wife & me, I didn't like it because the liquid had not a lot of flavor, the wife liked it because it had a lot of the cabbage flavor. The beer was ICE cold. The soft drink the wife had was mixed right (right amount of syrup to bubbles). read more

The Cheesesteak is my favorite and fantastic. Portions are big enough for 2 meals or to split. Onion pedals are a great side. Tomato soup is A+. Great comfort food with a lot of intriguing sandwich choices. Even as a non meat eater there were enough choices to get different sandwiches for my wife and myself with more to try next time. The ratio of toasted bread to gooey cheese was just right. Some like only crunchy grilled cheese sandwiches but there's are those of us that like the gooey as well. The perfect grilled cheese all zhuzhed up. The bread has the buttery perfect crunch and the inside was packed with meat and ooohy gooey cheese. The fries were the perfect golden crispiness, not one soggy fry in the pile. Their homemade chips were wonderful too. The coleslaw was delicious. It wasn't like any coleslaw I've ever had before. Fresh and crunchy with a hint of dill, celery seed, a little heat from the pepper and a touch of cilantro. I love cilantro but if you're one of those poor souls with the genetic trait to hate it, you'll probably want to skip this. I had the cuban and my partner had the cowboy burger. The service was spot on and friendly. The only downside might be a lack of parking. I was in a big rv van. There were only 4-5 spots on street side, all taken. There's a few spots on the side. They're on an incline that wouldn't accommodate the length of my van and the fact that I have very little ground clearance. My RAV4 would have fit fine. I drove around the block and when I pulled back up there was an open spot up front that I snagged. When we were leaving, I noticed a vacant lot across the side street. I'm not sure if you can park there but I'd give it a try rather than pass by this yummy meal. read more

I waited until I had food from here twice, both takeout and eat in, to write a review, because I wanted to experience the great food I heard about in reviews and saw in pictures. But that's not what I found. The service was five stars, everyone was friendly and helpful. The food however was a disappointment. Both times we had sandwiches with cheese that wasn't melted all the way. The ingredients were too large and without fully melted cheese your spinach, artichoke or tomato would just slip out of your sandwich in one bite. And I can't put a finger on my last sandwich statement, but they just weren't that tasty. I've had some outstanding grilled cheeses in the past and this didn't come close. The coleslaw that came with each sandwich had way too much vinegar, and yes I love vinegar based coleslaws. I ordered the Big Cheezee, which has spinach, tomato, avocado, swiss, provolone, cheddar, pimento, and Muenster cheese. I chose their tomato soup as my side as well. Everything tasted so fresh and it was literally cooked to perfection! We come to this area every year and this restaurant has found a special place in our hearts. As a child growing up, the first thing that I was taught to cook was grilled cheese. I consider myself an expert in making this comfort food. Absolutely Cheezee has taken a classic and put tasty, thoughtful spins on an American favorite. I bought the bbq pork grilled cheese with two different types of cheese, coleslaw, and bbq pork. The sandwich was thick, flavorful , and amazing! My wife has celiacs disease. She was able to have a wonderful pizza grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup. Everything was great, the owner and staff were friendly, and we will definitely be returning here before our stay is over. Great food! read more

This could have easily gone 3 stars, but I'm giving it 4 because I'm a nice guy. First concern is the price. I like my lunches to be $10 at a non-waited table restaurant. Certainly for a sandwich joint with counter ordering. But after ordering a sandwich (it does come with a side), and iced tea and a tip, it was a $15 bill for one person. I got the monty cristo. The flavor was great, but the bread was soggy, had to eat it with a knife and fork. I eat at sandwich places so I can eat a sandwich, sandwich-style. Crisp up that bread, or fry it like a real monty. The mac & cheese side was good, but not great. I would expect a cheesy place to make the best mac & cheese EVER. This one, while not bad, was not what it could have been. It certainly wasn't cheesy. The iced tea and the service was very good. I'll eat here again if I'm in the area. Better than fast food, diner fare or regular bar & grills. But pricey. read more

Ambiance is cheerful walls filled with cheese graters, spatulas and hilarious cheese related memes. Courteous and gracious counter help and cook. I have never been more impressed with a grilled cheese. My sister had the Spartichoke-spinach, artichoke and cheeses on grilled wheat bread . Each sandwich comes with a choice of homemade chips or fries and coleslaw. The cheeses were perfectly melted and the bread grilled perfectly. There are many choices to pick from and we can't wait to go back to try another Flavor. This is my favorite new place in Ormond by the Sea! My husband and son had grilled cheese which they enjoyed. But for me, I had the American chop salad twice in one week! I substitute the dressing for their balsamic vinaigrette and it's amazing! The salad portion is large and I wouldn't change a thing about it. read more

The wife had spinach, avocado, tomato and 5 cheese, which we both enjoyed. Fries were hot and fresh. Mac and cheese was average. I was initially a little turned off by the price point ($9-$12) for grilled cheese but left satisfied. The sandwiches are good sized and made with quality ingredients.
