Panera Bread has been a restaurant chain that I have long relied on to bring a bit of a culinary bribe to morning office meetings. Bringing some bagels and cream cheese to my morning meeting always keeps the grumbling down and might even produce a smile or two. The service was good and the product was decent. By the way, this culinary offering did bring several smiles, so it did go a long way to making the meeting a success. Very disappointed and quite disgusted by the lack of attentiveness from Panera. Today I ordered a sandwich with pulled chicken, and while the flavor was fine, I had to spit it out into the trash. There was a feather, I assume from a chicken, in my food. When you ask for a Cinnamon Crunch Bagel with ham, egg and cheese...you shouldn't get some greasy sandwich with sesame seeds on top and tastes like garlic. That was $7.44 down the drain. They won't get anymore money from me because if you messing up simple orders when it's slow, I REALLY don't think you're going to get it right when it's busy. This is the new location from the Trails. The "You pick two" is great since you can mix and match some healthier items. Coffee is still the same - good and mild. Would love to see some alternatives to the cream, milk, skim selections. There is out door seating that is pet friendly BTW. Inside is not as cozy as the Trails location and the regulars are slowly returning. Nice to have a drive through compared to the last location. read more

Worst Food At this location! Asked for a grilled ham and cheese and I got a mushy nasty sandwich! The ham had so much fat in it I couldn't eat it! Cinnamon roll was hard as a rock as well as the chocolate cookie. Couldn't eat those either! One star for the green smoothie drink and the Lemonade and strawberry smoothie was good! Well, this is my first time at Panera Bread in Florida. We used to go in New Jersey once in awhile. It was ok , nothing great. I ordered the creamy chicken and rice soup, for what it cost was poor! My mom got broccoli and cheese soup , she thought the same thing , was just ok. My daughter got an Asian salad and she said it was ok. Her friend got the chicken and avocado sandwich and she liked it a lot. I don't think we will go o back to Panera. For 30 some dollars, I think I can find better food elsewhere. read more

I really don't know how Panara Bread stays in business any longer. You no longer get full bowls of salad, now they are only half full. I even said to the server, "is this all I get" ? His comment, 'we use a measure cup". My husband and I stopped ordering any sandwiches years ago as we couldn't find the meat between the bread. Wow. Panama Bread is not what it used to be. We were hungry so we stopped in Panera Bread. First, some of the things we like were not on the menu so we special ordered. That's where it went wrong. The girl up front rang it up wrong and overcharged us, the soda Machine was out of ice, they got both orders wrong and one they had to remake because it had bacon on it. I just had the worst experience. Took my grandson and we both ordered sandwich and cookies. We ordered two chai tea lattes and took some drinks and six Bagels home. Went in this morning bought 6 bagels and 6 scones for an office gift. Price was $30.00. They put them in a paper bag with no handles. They didn`t offer a decorative box either. My husband & I stopped in tonight to the Panera Bread off Granada in Ormond Beach, FL. We both hadn't been in over 10 years. It's a cold night and we were craving their chicken & wild rice soup with a warm beget. They had neither. Panera "Bread" had no bread. Everything we tried ordering they were out of. So I ordered the $8.00 chicken noodle soup that tasted like Cambells chicken noodle and it must of been the last of the soup because it was practically all broth. The nice attendant who took our order said they ran out of everything due to the high demand of soup orders. The manager told us a different tail & that his his manager had a different strategy in terms of what this store had in stock and basically it wasn't enough food for the orders. So they ran out of everything. First and last time we visit Panera. Such a disappointment. read more

This is the third time coming to this location ordering the same thing. Broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl asking for a bowl of soup as well not a cup. Anyways they gave us minimal soup as well again..like Everytime they give you an amount so small the bread bowl is way larger and you get about 1/4 soup out of it. Attached is a picture to show how horrible of a job they do. I'm done with Panera as a whole. This is the last straw. Not to mention they have horrible customer service I've contacted them regarding this issue more than once and it has yet to be resolved. Great job Panera you are an awful company. I first visited this newly built Panera Bread that is located in a very convenient shopping plaza. When you first enter through the doors you get greeted by the fresh smell of freshly baked pastries and one of there professionally trained employees. The employees are very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. The pastries are neatly stacked and organized and almost looks fake. I order a tomato soup that had cheese croutons on top of it. The sandwich was to die for and the lemon drop cookie was moist and delicious. I visited the Panera in Ormond Beach Florida for lunch. The tables weren't clean. However, they were labeled to be 6 feet apart. We spoke to a staff member and asked if someone was cleaning tables as per CDC guidelines. Someone came to the dining area, walked around and then left. She cleaned nothing. There were crumbs on the empty tables. Even without this current epidemic, you would think someone would wipe down the tables. The crumbs on the tables were clearly visible. good thing my friend had wipes in her bag to clean the table we used. read more

Seems like the staff has no initiative for quality. The sandwiches are slopped together and one needs a knife and fork to eat them. the coffee is awful: cold and bitter, as if the person brewing it doesn't know how to make coffee. If you ask service staff if they have any fresher you catch a major attitude. When this shop was located in Trails Shopping Plaza the coffee and menu items were good quality and there was pleasant ambience, and the staff seemed happy. The food is always sub-par, if not gross sometimes, and something is always missing whether it's avocado in a salad, the side of baguette, extra dressing, etc. I have come back a few times however because it is the only one in my area and I love Panera in general. I don't think I will be back after this last time though. I found a hair in my sandwich, hair in the side of salad dressing, and 3 eyelashes in the salad itself. I was disgusted. When ordering I asked for 2 smoothies and the lady asked if I wanted 3 and I said no just 2 smoothies. When I got to the drive up window to get my food, she asked if I still wanted the 3 smoothies bc they were already made but I didn't want 3 and I did not want to be charged for 3 smoothies. My total was adjusted and I took my food and drove off. The teas were terrible. They tasted like they have been sitting there for days. It had a terrible after taste, like dirty water. I love Panera bread but this is by far the worst location I've ever been to. After multiple bad or mediocre experiences, I called and complained to the manager. I then waited 2 weeks and went back hoping the issues would be resolved (it's also very convenient to where I work and I had a gift card to use). I ordered the pick2 with soup and sandwich and tried the soup first so it wouldn't be cold after the sandwich...too late because it was served cold. I was tempted to complain but I was in a rush so I finished my sandwich (which was fine) and then took a bite of my apple....they even managed to ruin my apple. I'm done. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to Port Orange or Palm Coast locations if you're craving Panera because the Ormond Beach location will leave you very unsatisfied. read more
