A good sandwich shop right off LPGA Blvd This chain started in 1975 when Peter Cancro of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey at the age of 18 bought a local sandwich restaurant named Mike's Submarines. He renamed and franchised the business and grew it into 2700 stores around the United States today. Florida sport 216 of these stores and this is one of them. This one is located slightly to the north of the Tanger outlet mall and south of the Bucee's in a small 5-business strip mall. Parking is pretty limited and traffic can be a little difficult. The storefront is not very large and has 2 tables outside and 2 inside. You have to squeeze by one table to enter the line. As with most sandwich shops you order at one end of the see-through glass and follow your order to the end. I went there when I was visiting the area recently and they had a Friday Easter Special. I ordered a tuna sub. It was prepared within minutes. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The store was clean and the price was very reasonable. Overall, this is a good place to get a good meal at a reasonable price in the Daytona area.

Regular #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak

The map location is wrong. It's by the outlets, near T mobile and blaze pizza. Gluten free bread option from Udi's. They have Stubborn soda, a better tasting option than traditional options. The kahuna was a good sandwich. They aren't cheap with the cheese or meat. I felt very satisfied with yeh regular size

Doesn't look like a giant size sub to me !!!!

Mr. Wich Deli - Reuben on rye piled high!

Well I finally made it to Mr. Wich the very nostalgic and famous deli after all the years of…read morehearing mixed reviews I finally got to experience it for myself. Some say the pastrami is the best ever other says the pizza is to die for, well today it seemed most people came for the pizza but I had already decided on the pastrami before I pulled in the parking lot. This was a giant sandwich freshly prepared while I waited, really good fresh rye bread, spicy mustard, swiss cheese and a lot of hot from the grill pastrami (deli sliced but I knew that coming in). I got here a few minutes after they opened so there was no line and the woman working the register was so friendly and accommodating, the older gentleman I presume is George was busy tending to the pizzas and sandwich orders that were coming in. I planned to eat this outside at one of the older tables and chairs which I found pretty cool so told her that and she had the sandwich put in a container and didn't bag it but ensured I had plenty of napkins. The sandwich was $17.04 with tax so there went my twenty dollar bill with the tip. Well that seemed a little expensive to me until I opened it up once I grabbed a seat in the shade and found it was easily enough for two or one with half to take home. There are a number of reasons I give them 4 stars but honestly the sandwich was at best a three, it was a little chewy with maybe a little too much time on the grill. I'm happy I was able to experience this place and I'm planning to return to experience a few slices of pizza (two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and a can drink for $8.00) sounds more than reasonable to me...

I was thinking about lunch and was craving some pastrami. I have been wanting to try this…read morerestaurant for a while, and I'm glad I finally did! This is a mobile order so I can't comment on the restaurant but all of the food was well packaged and with appropriate utensils in the delivery bag. I ordered a Pastrami Reuben and a Garden Salad. To start, the garden salad was ok. It's shredded iceberg with chopped provolone, cucumbers and olives. It also has sliced onions and green peppers with a smattering of olives, chopped banana peppers and a couple of tomato slices. I topped it with Larry's Italian dressing, and it was good. Now the Reuben was very good. I'm not a huge fan of rye, but this was very subtle. It had a decent portion of pastrami. The dressing and sauerkraut were good, and I opted for provolone instead of Swiss cheese. All in all a very filling sandwich which fulfilled my craving for pastrami. I'll order from here again... maybe not a salad but I'd like to try the corned beef. And they do have other sandwiches on the menu...

The fillings of the sandwich were fresh and delicious but the bread was not. Rarely do I return food but because I don't eat much bread anymore I will only settle for the best. Upon ordering I asked if the bread was fresh and she said yes. Even the replacement was not fresh. I'm not an idiot. Wrinkles on the top of the bread is a sure sign it's not fresh. I worked in a sandwich shop in the 80s. I know what fresh bread is and I could smelled it from outside. That is what drew me in. Don't lie to me. Twice

Jersey Mike's has quickly become my go-to when I'm craving a fresh, made-to-order sub. There's just…read moresomething about watching them slice the meat right in front of you--it feels fresher and makes a huge difference in taste. I went with my usual, the #7 Turkey & Provolone, Mike's Way (on white bread). The bread was soft and fluffy, the turkey tasted clean and not overly processed, and the "Mike's Way" toppings (onions, lettuce, tomatoes, olive oil, vinegar, and spices) tied everything together perfectly. It's simple, but it hits every time. My friend tried the Philly Cheesesteak, and I had a bite--hot, melty, and packed with flavor. Definitely heavier than the cold subs, but a solid comfort food pick. Service was quick and super friendly. The staff actually smiled and seemed happy to be there, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The shop was spotless, and tables were wiped down between customers, which I always notice. Pro Tip: If you're hungry, go for the giant size--it's huge, and you'll probably end up with leftovers. Also, their fresh-baked cookies are underrated--soft and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall: Jersey Mike's is one of the few chains that feels like a step above the rest. Fresh, consistent, and worth the extra couple of bucks over other sandwich shops.

If you put their beef on a subway roll it would not be good. Beef was tender and the onions and peppers melted in my mouth. Prices were pretty good and you get what you pay for. We loved our sandwiches and could only eat about 3/4 as they were pretty big. Just loved this place and all of the locals said that this was THE place to go. They were right. The owner going around asking if we needed anything was the icing on the cake. It is service like this that makes people remember this place. This place should make it in NY or NJ with no problem and they don't have the attitude.
