This is definitely my go to spot to get my nails done. I always walk out feeling like a brand new girl. Lol Tom and Cindy always do a great job in whatever design I want and show them. Made an appointment for myself and my best friend the day before for 5:30pm. My best friend arrived at 5:20 and was immediately seated. I arrived at 5:24 and was immediately seated. Service was nice and friendly. The place was clean and the ambiance was nice, with light rock 90's/karaoke music. I got a small cut while the lady was cleaning around my cuticle (hence the 4 stars), but the overall experience was good. Massage was good. Color came out really nice. My slippers would have messed up my pinky toe nail, so they provided disposable slippers for me to use and take home! Appreciated that. read more

I used to love coming here until I got a fungal infection on my toenail. I loved the hospitality, and the owner was so nice and welcoming. She did some great nail art. They were all really good at their job. I never had a complaint. The last visit was in June of 2021 when I found out I was 3 months pregnant. I went in and got my toes done for the summer. Then in August when I wanted to get my toes redone I noticed my toenail had white and yellow spots. I thought nothing of it and assumed it was the nail polish (cus my toes were painted white). Waited it out a bit more to make sure it was nothing serious, then in September noticed more of my toenail turning yellow on the right corner, and I decided to do my own toes when cutting them I noticed a foul smell and the inside of the nail looking blackish and crusty. Fast forward to now.... My nail looks like this in the picture. (I know i got the fungus from them, cus they were the ONLY nail shop I was going too and I didn't have anything done elsewhere after that last pedicure in June with them) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful where you get your nails/pedis done. Make sure you ask that they're stuff is sterilized and cleaned, or maybe even bring your own for them to use. I wish I would of done that. I trusted them. And loved their work. Never thought I'd get toenail fungus from a place that I thought was a small peace of relaxation and mama pampering for myself. I'm only in my 30's so to have this on my toe at such a young age is embarrassing. Now I have to see a podiatrist to see if they can help. read more

Reupping my 5 star-review. If only I didnt live 6+ hours from this place Id be here every 2 weeks. Came in with my mom and daughter on a very busy pre-Easter Saturday and the overall service was still impeccable. Friendly and professional as they tried to get everyone served. The staff takes their time and takes pride in their work and appearances. They gave my 9 yo a nice mani/pedi that they would give an adult. It was thorough and I was pleased they didnt rush like they do at 95% of other salons. They were attentive to my senior mom. And my technician went above and beyond in time and effort to get rid of a botched dip/gel from another salon. I'll be back again in a few weeks! read more

Like a lot of first time customers i went to my appointment with high hopes and a picture of what i wanted. It was a very simple design with not a lot of guesswork. I have no words for the final outcome except wtf. The pics speak for themselves. He was obviously rushing with me because of being double booked. It was awkward and I felt guilty for taking up space especially when his client was sent away and told to come back at 5:30. And at 5:30 he still wasn't done with me so that really upped the ante and it was even more clear that i was infringing on his schedule. The least i hoped for was a great outcome and nice nails but my nails are thick and hideous and uneven because he did the bare minimum if even that. He didn't take the time or effort to shape or define my nails very well and seemed upset when i wanted the thickness filed down. He inadvertently filed off part of the acrylic glitter nail powder on one of my nails but was dismissive about it and perfectly ok with me walking out with effed up nails. And for the record he just used acrylic powder on my nails without polishing them. I wanted light gray (like the pic) with a few accent nails but he argued that the pic was a milky white color not gray so he just left the white acrylic powder on (again with no polish over it) & attempted to put the cuticle oil on & send me on my way. I questioned the color and thickness and unevenness and gave him the opportunity to do damage control but he or no one there offered to make it right. They tried to charge me $50 then $45 and i said i shouldn't have to pay at all. Then the lady at the register insisted on $30. I reluctantly agreed just so I could leave. The general feeling of this salon as with so many others is that the focus is on quantity not quality as well as not giving af about customer satisfaction. When im happy im a regular customer and a big tipper. I usually tip 40%- 50% of the bill. I'm 57 & get treated like i don't matter as much as 27 year olds. I notice how well the younger girls nails turn out but mine are always crooked, cringy and looking like a first grader did them. It's been consistently that way in Stockton. For years. YEARS. read more

I made 2 appointments for myself and my eldest step daughter on December 23rd at 3pm. Just a nice surprise for the holidays. We walked in at 3pm and sat down within seconds of arriving. There were 3 walk ins waiting. My stepdaughter got a full set of gel at $45. I got a full set of acrylic with 2 designs and multiple colors at $35 by Monica. She was awesome!!! Friendly, joked around, creative and chatted with me. We were both happy with our nails and we were out of the salon by 4:10pm. We were both shocked how quick and talented the nail techs were. I have found my nail shop in Stockton. Monica, it's me and you Babe!!! I love your cool hair color, too!!! read more

Over charged me for eyebrows $28, all she did was wax them, no plucking, no cutting the long hairs and no arching them. I literally went home and started to pluck my own eyebrows. I even had to tell her to pluck my eyebrows which she did a little but obviously she didn't know what she was doing because she tried to down play it with a good attitude and saying it's "natural" . Girl please. read more

GREAT SERVICE! Made an appt Friday and came in early Saturday morning. The receptionist already knew we were coming for our pedis and seated us almost immediately. Two ladies then helped me and my sister with the massage chairs and asked us what type of pedis we wanted to do. They also asked us if we wanted regular polish or gel. We both chose regular and that was that. They did not try to convince us to do gel! Lol. Which was a plus because we are always stuck in that awkward predicament. I got the lavender pedi which was $45 & included many extras. Which I loved. I don't have long nails but Linda (the person I had) made it look like I had pinky toe nails. Sooo cute!! I loved how careful she was and resourceful too!!! I would definitely recommend her for anyone trying out this place. 5/5 stars read more

IN REGARDS TO CINDY'S REPLY: I never once mentioned the day i got my nails done so to say the owner was not working there the day i went is also wrong. I know the person doing my nails was the owner because they told me they have numerous locations in N. California as well and just opened this salon recently. Also, the "business owner" picture here on yelp looks a lot like the person that did my nails... It is not okay to blame your employees for a job that you you did. Cindy's comment was edited where she blamed her employee "Cindy #2" for my bad nail job. ---------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: My gel/ dip nail powder chipped and lifted after 3 days. I paid $35 for it to come off after 3 days. I will never return to this salon. -------------------------------------------------------- had a very unrelaxing experience here. Cindy, the owner, did a bad nail job. She filed my nails so short and kept doing so numerous times and during those times she went to town! When I thought she was done filing, she would pull out the file and I just saw my nails filed down shorter and shorter. Her "dip nail" with gel was so clumpy and uneven (see the comparison of dip nail with Absolute salon and another salon). My nails look like a 5 year olds- wide and short. She also cut my cuticle. Not once, but three times to the point i started to bleed. She apologized for the first time and the other two she kind of tried to hide it and didn't say anything. I get people make mistakes so i did not think much of it when she cut me the first time, but the next 2 times...really? Also, she finished up my gel (I got the dip manicure with gel on top) as I was getting a pedicure. She told me I looked tired from work so she wanted me to have a relaxing pedicure experience. WRONG! I had to balance the gel light on my lap as I was getting a pedicure. So everytime I had to put my foot back into the pedicure water, I had to make sure the light didn't fall into the water and make sure I didn't hit my nails on the light. I didn't think my nails were that bad until I went to work the next day and someone said my nails were way shorter and clumpier than usual. The only good thing was that my pedicure was great. I didn't get the guys name but he took his time on my pedicure. Read less read more

Absolute Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Stockton, California

A very nice and beautiful business to add to Stockton's nail salons. You're probably reading this because my review stood out amongst the other 5-Star reviews. So let's get to it... I was enticed by their grand opening special of 30% off all services. Who doesn't love a good deal? I'm not one to like talking on the phone so I decided to shoot them a message through Yelp. I received an immediate response from Cindy for a "12:00pm-1:00pm" appointment for a gel manicure. I confirmed it and that's when it all started... :) I walked in just a few minutes before 12 and was immediately greeted by who I think I was the owner..? She said she will be right with me. She introduced herself as Cindy (which I assume is the same Cindy that confirmed my appointment on Yelp). It looked as if she's just finishing up and so I wait and decide to pick out a nail color. 15 minutes pass... I look over to see what she's working on and the client she's working with does not have any color on her nails. Hmmm... Cindy assures me, "Be right with you." Again no worries, I don't see how I couldn't wait a little longer. It's 12:45pm and she finally glances over and decides to soak my nails to remove the gel polish off. 1:00pm. Slowly but surely wrapping up with the client that she she was going to finish up from 12:00pm. 1:15pm or so... she's still working on removing my gel nails. Now during this time, I am still not getting her undivided attention. I understand it's a grand opening... but there is no need to speed up the process at this point. Whenever there was a phone call or a customer walking in, she would speed up the process of whatever she's doing on my nails and not look at what she's working on. Which then resulted in my pinky finger being scratched by the filer because she was not paying attention. 2:17pm... closed the transaction and not once did she acknowledge. I wasn't going to leave the shop not letting her know her lack of professionalism. I told her, "You did a good job on my nails Cindy, but it was not okay for you to have me wait for nearly an hour for my appointment. I will pay you and tip you for the work but know that that was very disrespectful on your end." Cindy apologized. I hope going forward, this review is a wake-up call for her. Will I come back? I'm not too certain. It's always nice to feel welcomed but I want to feel appreciated. read more

This was my first visit here, I was nervous because I've heard about the prices - which I did leave with a pricey tab for my manicure and pedicure. But besides the pay, the staff were really nice and had so much patience. I took about 2 hours of their time and Cindy who I scheduled with did such an amazing job on my manicure. The pedicure got messed up, but only the top coat and I didn't realize until after I left - it's still really pretty. I feel like they weren't rushing so I thought it was great because they were precise to detail. read more

I've been to a lot of salons here in Stockton, but honestly I think this was the best pedicure experience I've ever had! From the energy and atmosphere, to the really nice nail techs I was extremely satisfied. I received one of their spa pedicures that lasted 50 mins. My nail tech massaged my feet & legs the whole time rather than just rubbing in lotion (like other places) The salon was very clean & organized, tools were clean, new nail files, everything was labeled. So. I really do not like leaving bad reviews but I would hate for this to happen to someone else. I went to get my nails removed and get a full set on 11/26/22. Previously I had only gotten fills there and it was not a problem. The man who works there had done a good job my previous visit. He begins taking the nails off by ripping them off. This resulted in my actual nail getting torn off. The experience was painful. These pics are days after the incident and have had a little time to heal. Should you choose to get your nails taken off here ask for them to please at least soak the nail first. read more

After spending an hour and a half in the salon, you'd think my nails come out looking fabulous. But they look terrible. All different shapes and sizes, I didn't know you could mess up a simple manicure as much as mine is. Even after telling Tom (I believe that was his name) that the shape was not okay and specifically saying my nails looked terrible. He continued on acting like he was fixing them. But In reality didn't do anything but make them worse. If I could give them Zero stars I would. Add injury to insult with a hefty $45 price tag. I will never ever be coming back to this salon. read more
