Fast forward 5 years, we call with problem with a noisy inducer motor. The employee who came out gave some lame excuses about cat litter dust causing the problem (there's a new one) and then explained that about the warranty being only effective for 5 years because we didn't register it. It was outside the 5 year mark by days if any at all. Their oversight will cost us $600-1000 to fix the problem. Very disappointed, really wish we'd picked someone else.

For 35 years we used another local company but this time decided to get bids and research all the local companies and their products. Superior Comfort came out way ahead of the others. To our surprise, they were extremely cost competitive. Higher quality did not mean higher cost. My family won't go with anyone else in the future; but, we don't see any future maintenance needs anyway because the quality is so good.
