I am writing a review about services not completed. I had an insulation estimate completed by Applegate and another company (Spink Insulation). Spink was hoping to sell me $2,800.00 worth of insulation and attic accessories to raise my insulation to the recommended R50. The estimator from Applegate advises me to spend my money elsewhere as my home was already at R50. I later received a call from my Applegate estimator advising me the previous homeowner actually had Applegate install insulation in 2001, and that additional insulation had been installed after the 2001 job. Excellent service! These guys exceeded our expectations! When our furnace kicked the bucket, their team gave us the most reasonable price with the best warranty and maintenance plan. They even knew about rebate opportunities that we weren't aware of. They filled out the paperwork and submitted it for us. The work was done in a timely manner. All staff that we encountered were courteous, friendly, helpful and caring. It was a pleasure dealing with them. Our new furnace is working great. Even though this is not something we wanted to do, Applegate made it a pleasant experience. 5 star service! The folks at Applegate are top-notch! I had a mysterious problem in my HVAC unit and they were able to diagnose and figure out the problem. It took them three trips, but they eventually found a rag stuffed into the air intake valve. No one is sure how it got there (previous homeowners? nefarious competitors? ghosts?) but each time they came out, they were courteous and true professionals. I was impressed with their intuition and sleuthing skills-- especially how they pieced together "data" from previous visits to narrow down the source of the mysterious problem! I've always had good experiences with Applegate for furnace repairs. When it came time to get a new furnace, I was pleased with the furnace proposals. We selected the furnace and schedule installation. One of the installers, Brad, talked me through how the project would work. I had specific questions about the change in venting when going from an old furnace to the new high efficiency furnace. We worked through where it would vent through the side of the house - that was important to me. It was a full day project. Both of the installers did a good job! read more

I was very happy with the installation of my new furnace and air conditioning unit! Brad was courteous, respectful of my privacy, kept me informed as he worked and left my home neater than he found it.
