Without fail they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Pat Sprunger and his crews are polite, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. Everyone inside the office that I have spoken with have always had a great attitude and seem to genuinely care for their customers. My generator installation 5 years ago was rather difficult and they got the job done on time and provided some necessary upgrades to my existing service panel without extra charge. Since then, they have always responded promptly to both routine service and emergency requests. I know the company offers many more services than just generator sales and service. Although I have not needed to utilize their other departments yet, I will think of them first when the need arises based on their exemplary past performance when the chips were down. First I paid for a new Furnace, AC unit, and tankless water heater. After the install I found out instead of installing the SER 16.2 I paid for they installed a 15.4 instead at my house. Both my father and I were told we had sign up for the service contract and that they would service our equipment for free. In the beginning it seemed like a great deal. I also had my water main break and that was all this initial call was for. I was able to fix the main break on my own and did not need the service. It took Whitney so long that they had already installed the AC and furnace but not fixed the water. When I told Matt I didn't need he stated he had all his profit wrapped in that portion and that I would need to pay another 4k... My father had an AC and Furnace. They did not give him the de-humidifier he paid for because the install tech had a dull drill bit and inadequate tools, it took him 4+ hours to drill through the wall. My father offered a better bit and drill, the employee refused. SO he did not get what he paid for either. Fast forward to the after the first winter and my fathers AC is not working. WHiteny comes out and tells him he has a leak, service plan expired (even though they never came out for wither of us) and he would need to pay them. He then called the office and spoke with the office manager who stated he would not have to pay. Later I call I have to my service completed that I paid for at install (more than $4350 after the additional extorted $4000. ) just to find out my service plan expired and I also will need to pay after they completed the service, not before. I call the manager explain the situation let them know I am not going to pay, they say that's totally understandable, the AC unit should not be leaking when barely a year old. THIS WHOLE TIME THEY BILL ME FOR EVERYTHING. My dads service, mine, just everything. I call ask them for the 10th time to straighten out our accounts, explained again the entire situation to Margot. She says she will fix it, and talk with the higher ups and get this resolved. Instead she then Billed my father for services from MY house and his house! This company is hot pile of crap and is the biggest mess I have ever seen. If they continue to harass us over their fraudulent charges and business practices, we will see them in court. You sold me a 16.2 and installed a 15.4 thinking you were slick. You lied about your service plan, and over charges customers because your employees had poor tolls and improper equipment (Install tech tried to drill through a 12" wall with a dull bit and dead right angle battery drill). DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I had a dedicated outlet for my sump pump installed by them at the end of…read morelast year. Because my house is a rental, I had to have the work permitted by the City of Lansing. When the City electrician came to inspect their work, they found multiple violations, including that the outlet was not dedicated, but instead connected to the same breaker as my fridge. The City electrician explained to me that if we had a bad storm and my sump pump got overloaded and killed the breaker, not only would my basement take on water but my fridge would go out and my food would go bad. National Electric NEVER told me they hooked my outlet up to the same breaker as my fridge; I paid them for a dedicated outlet I never received. The City electrician sent them the violations and told me they should reach out to me to correct them. Instead, I've been calling and emailing them for months and they conveniently say they will call me back or don't answer. They have never corrected the issues. Don't trust that the work they've said they've done is actually the work they've done.
