They pulled the permit and did not schedule the inspection with the city . A year later and the OWNER Robert West has the worse customer service . NASTY ! How can you do a service and not complete it then get upset with the customer and STILL didn't book the inspection with the city . For his actions in this situation it cause fines with the city code department as well having to get corrections done by ANOTHER electric company . Save your self the hassle and choose a different company . National Electric is a scam ! Don't get done like I do .

Because my house is a rental, I had to have the work permitted by the City of Lansing. When the City electrician came to inspect their work, they found multiple violations, including that the outlet was not dedicated, but instead connected to the same breaker as my fridge. The City electrician explained to me that if we had a bad storm and my sump pump got overloaded and killed the breaker, not only would my basement take on water but my fridge would go out and my food would go bad. National Electric NEVER told me they hooked my outlet up to the same breaker as my fridge; I paid them for a dedicated outlet I never received. The City electrician sent them the violations and told me they should reach out to me to correct them. Instead, I've been calling and emailing them for months and they conveniently say they will call me back or don't answer. They have never corrected the issues. Don't trust that the work they've said they've done is actually the work they've done.

The office manager, Jessica, initially told me the wrong arrival time and corrected the time the business day prior to the technician's arrival. There was a 10-hour difference in the arrival times so I was left to make plans to be there last minute. The technicians did great work and worked in an efficient manner. However, the handling of my scheduling, invoicing, and additional concerns by the office staff (primarily the manager) was VERY unprofessional. The first concern was that my job was completed on January 4, 2021. I did not receive my invoice until February 22, 2021. The invoice date was January 30, 2020. I contacted the office numerous times (via phone) and indicated my concerns regarding the billing. After I did not receive a response for weeks an email was sent to the office manager, Jessica. The concerns with the bill related to incorrect billing of the number of hours worked, the hourly rate (the business was publicly advertising a rate of their website that was not correct, and was fixed after I brought up the concern), and the seemingly high price of materials that was invoiced. The office did make adjustments to every item of concern, which reduced the invoice by $538.51. A payment was mailed for the revised invoice almost a week later. I had unexpected health issues which prevented me from mailing payment sooner once the issues were resolved. On April 9, 2021, I received an email indicating that a $25 late fee had been added. I promptly responded and informed the office that a check was mailed and likely hadn't arrived due to USPS issues. I provided a screenshot showing that a new check was scheduled to arrive in a few days. I received a VERY unprofessional reply email back from the office manager, Jessica which accused me of making excuses (the USPS nationwide mail issues). The new check that was mailed did not include the late fee, as I do not feel I am responsible for that as I mailed a check that hasn't arrived, as well as my other issues with the business. She then said "if you feel okay doing this to a small business, that is your prerogative. We look forward to receiving your payment soon for work that was completed and you have enjoyed for the last 3 months.". I would like to point out that it took the office almost two of those months to actually bill me for the work. The technicians and quality of work were great, however, I would not recommend C & S due to the hassle and frustration was caused by the office management/staff.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Hager Fox Heating & Cooling (A Randazzo Company). On…read moreJan 24th I had Hager Fox install a new furnace for me because my old one was too costly to repair. The initial troubleshooting technician I give 5 stars! He did a great job finding the problem and explaining everything to me. The salesman I give 0 stars. He tried to trick me into buying a new AC unit (I will explain more later) and he made wrong measurements of my old unit that resulted in a new duct needing to be fabricated on installation day. Which also resulted in their young driver that delivered the new duct backing up their company van on my lawn and got stuck in the snow. The driver spun the van wheels until it went down to dirt! I emailed pictures of the incident to the salesman and received NO acknowledgement or apology from ANYONE at the company. I wasn't even offered any grass seed to repair the damage. At my initial visit with the salesman, he explained that starting Jan 1st 2025 a new freon is being used on all new AC units. (This is true). He said if I didn't act now, I would pay $1500 more for a new AC unit because that is how much the price will increase because of the new freon/AC units. (That is NOT true). He said the old AC units will be sold out in the next few weeks. (OH, because you know there is going to be a BOGO deal coming up!) I spoke with other heating & cooling companies and they explained that they have been buying and installing the new style AC units for months! One even told me that he pays less for the new units and freon. He also said that Hager Fox is a bigger company and most likely have a large inventory of the old AC units they need to get rid of. During the intimal meeting my wife asked about BOGO free deal they sometimes have? We didn't get a yes or no. We got an explanation on how Randazzo's bought Hager Fox. Wouldn't you know it, just a week after our furnace was installed Hager Fox has BOGO free deal! I called the salesman up to ask if they do anything for people that just got their furnace installed (pertaining to the BOGO deal). He said he was in training and couldn't talk right now but he would look into it for me and get back with me. Not knowing how long he would be in training; I gave him a week to get back with me. The next Monday came and still no call back! I called to office wanting to talk to a manager. EVERYTHING is voice prompt! The best I could do is get a receptionist (I guess that is who it was?) She explained she would send an email to my salesman asking him to call me. She said she would also copy in his manager as well. Today is the 3 days since I called the office and NO return call! The furnace installers I give 3 stars. They were getting ready to leave and I was inspecting their work. I noticed on my bathroom sink next to the furnace room I saw a knob. I asked what was this from? One guy explained they broke the knob off my humidifier. I said what are you guys going to do about that? (Apparently nothing if I didn't notice it!). He said we would have to call the office and have them send the driver out again with another part. So, they send the same person that got stuck in my lawn earlier! Then I notice a pipe that had warm air coming from around it. It had some putty around it but not enough. After I pointed that out, he put more on it. Again, it wouldn't have gotten done if I had not mentioned it! It sure feels like once they got my money that I am not a priority to them anymore. It makes me wonder if I have a problem with my furnace down the road what sort of trouble will I have with them honoring the warranty!

I had called around to try and get the best price on a smart doorbell and chime installation. Their price seemed the most competitive at what they were offering. So I went with them. New Years Day, a couple of guys show up on time and ready to work. They get started and immediately I was a little worried. One of the gentlemen(the lead on the job) asked about running wire through the crawl space and told me he needed access. However Kevin(the gentlemen who came out and priced it out a couple weeks earlier) said it was easiest to go through the attic. So I mentioned this to the gentlemen at install and he seemed puzzled but then agreed that the attic would work fine too. Carrying on they took quite a while finding the wire in the wall for the front doorbell install, at least an hour and a half of their 4.5 hours spent at my house was just finding this front wire. Fast forward to when he is installing the chime he placed it in the wall and you can hear a very faint buzzing noise coming from it. Immediately he realizes that is not how it's suppose to sound. So he looks to me and says that he recommends taking the chime back and installing one myself. I was not very pleased with this which I think he saw on my face. He then says he has an extra chime in his truck that he can try. He comes back from the truck with no chime and tells me he thinks he knows what the problem is. So he spends another half hour to forty five minutes and fixes the buzzing noise. I asked him what it ended up being the issue and he responded "It was wired wrong". All said and done he has me sign a sheet with the price of install, then carries on. I look at both areas of installation and notice the wall where they installed the chime is completely tattered with what looks like little marks where they were hammering to find the best location for the chime. I also look outside to the smart doorbell and notice my paint is chipped. So now, I have to pay to fill in all of those holes and repaint the wall(picture provided) and touch up the outdoor trim(picture provided). If it weren't for how friendly the lead was, I may have asked them to cancel installation and went with another company. I am giving them 3 stars due to their friendliness and success at getting the chime and doorbell installed. The process did not feel like a professional install, but more or less like I asked a neighbor who was somewhat familiar with the job to come give me a hand. I most likely won't go back to this company, unless I am given an incredible deal.
