Your typical hometown dinner with good food and great service. Ordered the gravy platter with scrambled eggs. The gravy was smooth and creamy, seasoned great, and made with a mild sausage. The biscuits were perfect in our book. Nice size, not overly floury, or overly chewy. The hash browns were crispy and well seasoned. The meal was just great, filling, and satisfying. Matt our server was great and made some bomb sweet tea for us. Definitely our new breakfast spot while we are up here. read more

Went to breakfast here and it was great. Everything was cooked to perfection and it's obvious they use high quality ingredients. Sounds simple but the eggs were cooked just right, bacon was perfect and high quality. Great food & prices, wonderful customer service. It's full of hellos when you enter, friendly faces and the sound of conversation of folks that have known each other for years. The menu is standard but so so so good, coffee nice, hot and the ambiance...well it's an older diner and has been there for decades and is in need of up grades but I like older restaurants they have history . A classic American Small Town Diner with large portions and friendly staff. Both the Farmers and Western Omelets that Mom and I had strong flavors and fresh ingredients. Stopped here for breakfast while camping nearby. Service was friendly and quick. Son and I shared the Belly Buster - 3 eggs, 3 sausage, 3 bacon, 2 pancakes, 2 French toast, and home fries. All for $13! Eggs were over cooked (scrambled), bacon was perfect. Sausage was ready to eat links. Pancakes and French toast were delicious! Didn't have room for the home fries, so we took those home. Coffee was diner coffee. Parking is tight.... we had to park around back. The kitchen door was propped open... with a sign that reads, "Due to flies and insects, keep door closed." Hmm. The lunch/dinner menu board looked yummy - shrimp bisque in particular. Can only review breakfast because that's what we always to go the Aberdeen Diner for on the weekends. Can't wait for normal life to return so we can go to the diner because part of the charm is the atmosphere itself. Onto the food. It's simply delicious and just what you would expect from diner breakfast food. Only one suggestion, and as another reviewer noted, is that sometimes only sometimes the breakfast potatoes are a bit under cooked. The staff is friendly and the service is great. The food comes out pretty quick even when they're busy on the weekends. Prices are excellent. Great local feel and wonderful friendly atmosphere with good food. read more

Breakfast is hands down my favorite meal of the day. Not because of the excruciating amount of energy it takes to wake up, but the variety and quality of food that is able to be had without being judged too hard. And this place did it for me. I came here one Sunday morning for some grits and hashbrowns and I got just that! Except better. The staff was really nice and attentive and made me feel like home. The food was great quality (or maybe I was super hungry and in the mood for some breakfast items). But there isn't much else to say about this place other than I would absolutely come back! Wow--an amazing dinner of fish and chips. The lady behind the counter told me they had Rockfish, so I gave it a try. Absolutely delicious. The chili and cornbread were awesome, as advertised (if a dish is highlighted in neon in the restaurant window, you know its going to be good). It was -- the chili had just the right amount of spice, and wasn't heavy on the beans. The cornbread was very moist -- like it had just been baked. Aberdeen Diner will be a regular stop on my DC - NYC drive...its only 10 minutes off 95, if that. The diner has the same atmosphere that you saw in the old TV show, Cheers. Most people knew either their server, and the servers knew many customers. Food was typical diner fare, prepared perfectly, along with huge portions. I haven't had chipped beef in years, and it was delicious. The staff was very aware of COVID protocols, and worked with customers to keep safe. I'd go back if in the area. read more
