Breakfast burrito

Food was amazing! I got the breakfast croissant 10/10 and my friend a breakfast burrito. We got a an empanada and a lavender latte (really good) and alfajores. Totally recommend

I had just finished a walk around the Lafayette Reservoir and wanted to grab breakfast somewhere so I decided to look up cafés and found this place! The staff were super friendly, you can do takeout or you can have a seat and they'll bring a menu to you. I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of options that they had. I forgot to take a picture of the breakfast menu, but you could get a breakfast burrito, a breakfast quesadilla, a bagel, different types of empanadas. I was torn between the Carne picada and beef but was recommended the beef so I got that and the chorizo along with a matcha horchata. The drink came out first and you know what, sometimes matcha does taste like grass lol it was definitely a unique taste mixed with horchata. I did have a sip of the horchata before I mixed it all together and the horchata by itself was actually really good. The empanadas are good, the beef was delicious but because they do have to reheat these empanadas I'm not gonna lie, my beef was mostly hot, but there were some lukewarm parts and my chorizo empanada was warm on the outside and cold on the inside. I hate causing problems and making people feel bad so I just took my chorizo home with me and threw it in my air fryer. Again the staff were so freaking nice, I know they 100% would have heated it up again for me but ya girl be shy sometimes okay. But this café was honestly just the perfect vibe. They had music blasting and I was able to do some light reading. I would honestly come back if I'm ever in the area again. I believe they are open seven days a week from 7 AM to 3 PM!

Fantastic new addition to Lafayette! Very decently priced coffee, a lot of good food options, including breakfast all day, pastries, and empanadas. I had their cappuccino and breakfast burrito with the chicken apple sausage. The cappuccino was good, and the breakfast burrito was amazing. Wrapped in green (spinach?) tortilla, and all the stuff in there was really good other than a bit of avocado skin. I'd def get this again, perhaps with the chorizo next time. The husband had their steak sandwich. He said the sandwich was good, but pricey for what it was. We initially ordered via Door Dash since it showed up there and we were hoping for a quick pick up. However, the online ordering system wasn't set up (something premature from DD's end?), as they were confused as I said I was picking up an online order. Anyways, reordered the food while the husband was waiting in the car outside. Didn't appreciate it didn't fall within our plan and at us back 15 mins or so, but it was what it was. Had to ask DD for credit/refund since I paid at the store too. The size of the place is decent and it all looked so clean. Good amount of tables, and there's some outdoor seating as well. Saw a lot of people ordering empanadas. Yum!! Would go back again and try some more offerings, including smoothies, more coffee, and of course food! Will probably wait until online ordering is confirmed though.

Add me to the Abe's fan club. Whether it's a coffee drink or signature empanada or burrito breakfast or hibiscus tea or caramel cookie or anything else, it's all good at Abe's. Not to mention the retro ambience and good feeling. First time but I will be back early and often

So happy this little cafe opened up in Lafayette! The empanada was so delish - right out of the oven with great flavor. The strawberry matcha with cream top was also divine. Sat outside and it was so easy. The woman who took our order was so kind as well!

Excellent breakfast from a most interesting menu. I had a huge qusadilla cut into hand holdable quarters filled with scrambled eggs, meat of choice, cheese and a side of green salsa. It come with a slice of orange. They also have bagels and salmon with cream cheese, avocado toast as well as bacon and eggs and toast. They serve excellent coffee with free refills. They have a large selection of very fresh sweet breakfast pastries. They are open 7-3 daily. I haven't tried their specialty sandwiches but they look really good.

Matcha latte, Orange/Beet Juice, and Strawberry Matcha

Delicious matcha, perfectly balanced and unsweetened. The strawberry matcha was delicious too and tasted like fresh strawberries. The staff were so sweet- I highly recommend supporting this small business!!

This is a great little place. Wife and family stopped in for it early afternoon. The aqua grew as were exactly what we were looking for one a hot day. We all tried the different ones: the watermelon mint, the spinach & pineapple, and the horchata (rice, milk, cinnamon). All three were great! Refreshing light and taste great. We spoke with the owner Abe who was professional and friendly and made great recommendations. The service is excellent!. The food is delicious. The family had the sirloin sandwich and caprese empanadas. The steak was made perfectly and the bread crisp and light with excellent toppings. The empanadas were light and crispy and tender and cooked perfectly. The place being new is spotless and modern. Absolutely great! Highly recommend this place as it has a great personal touch and feels very comfortable and inviting! Hats off to Abe and staff! A very welcome addition to the community!

The food was great and the service was very attentive. The Chia Latte was delicious and hot. Forgot to take pictures of the food but all 4 of us thought the food was delicious and good size portions. Nice art on the walls.

He ended up ordering an iced turkish coffee with milk. It was hot outside, so I went in to grab some water. Their water container was not only basically empty, but it was also warm. Gross. I decided I would rather pay for a cup of iced water (because in a lot of the places I've been to, they charge for it). I go up to the register and ask if I can buy a plastic cup with iced water. The cashier/pastry cook/barista says, "Water?" and I repeat that I want a cup with iced water. She says, "Ice?" and I say, yes please. She goes right next to where the other barista is and she grab a scoop full of ice and gestures it to me. I'm kind of confused by this point, and it seems like the other barista is too. And then I ask again if I can get it in a plastic cup. Then the other barista points to one of the paper cups next to the warm water container, but then I ask them again if I could please get it in one of the cups they have, (because I wanted to be able to carry it around with a lid). That's when the other barista says, "You're doing too much, but okay." And she passes me the plastic cup, without a lid, acting as if I just asked her for her whole paycheck and half the drinks on the menu. I'm definitely annoyed at this point, but I don't care enough to be rude back. Then she says she's going to fill up the container. So she goes, gets the container to fill it up, and I'm there waiting with my friend in the store. It looks like she's the only barista there, so it keeps taking a little longer for the drink(s) to come out. When she finally comes back with a semi-filled container, I'm conversing with my friend, when she turns sharply and says, "Were you going to order anything??" in a pretty snappy tone, as if I'm only worth giving a plastic cup to if I'm going to order more. We reply that we already ordered, and she goes back to finish drinks that a previous customer had ordered. It's two drinks, and I assume that it took about 12-15 minutes for them to receive what looked like small hot drinks. I say this because these customers were sitting there well before my friend and I arrived, took time to order, and then were waiting for our drinks. After that, we're still waiting while she goes to take orders, and that's when the cashier/pastry cook/barista woman finishes my friends drink... after having stood there FOREVER while the other barista was going in circles. I was shocked to say the least, kind of amused, but also disappointed because these customers drink was about 8-9 bucks, the wait time was about 8-10 minutes, and the drink was disgusting. Actually insane. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Place looks mid, service was abominable, and the workers look like they hate each other and anyone who asks for a plastic cup with iced water. Do better, and preferably give us back our money for the nasty drink+attitude combo.
