I wish I had 6 hands, I'd give this guy 6 thumbs up. Said he'd be here in an hour, called and said he'd be a half hour early. Made me transponder 2 keys on the spot and only charged 40 bucks extra for the second key. Has great tips on different types of car keys and the water....lost my keys in the middle of the ocean trying to save a baby seal...j/k about the baby seal. read more

Jason is great! He is very friendly, professional, and he got the job done in a timely manner! Our lock was extra tricky to pick, but Jason persevered. Despite the challenge, he kept working really hard to pick it so he didn't have to break and replace the lock, which would have been costly. He also opened my boyfriend's safe as well at the same time he came over to open our door. He also quickly made us a spare key to help us avoid making the same mistake twice. Thank you SO much Jason, for your amazing service and affordable pricing! Thank you for not ripping us off like a previous company did before... If you need a locksmith, call Jason. You will not regret it! read more

Great, friendly, speedy service! I was locked out of my car over my lunch hour and they were able to come and unlock my car within 30 minutes of my phone call. The last time I was locked out, the company that unlocked my car charged me twice as much as ABCO did today! $70 today which I thought was a very reasonable price for Hawaii. read more

I accidentally locked my keys, my wallet, my groceries and my phone inside of my car on a Saturday evening... We called Jason and he was here within less than half an hour! It took a little bit long to get the job done -- but completely not his fault... I have a complicated car key mechanism thingie (anti-theft). Anyway, Jason was great! He is very friendly, polite and very honest. I thought I would be paying a million dollars but not at all! I don't only recommend him, I'm putting him onto my work place's "Vendor List". Thanks Jason (^-^)! read more

I gladly would recommend Jason to anyone who needs a key done. If you want a key done without emptying your wallet like all the other locksmith, please call Jason. I'm so glad I found him!! Can't thank him enough!!! read more

Jason is great and very knowledgeable. Quick professional service. Highly recommended.

Jason was able to solve my issue of not having a key for the bed cover of my newly acquired truck. He was able to manufacture a key based on analyzing the lock since I didn't have any key for him to go off of. He was very thorough and professional. Appreciate great service and resolving my problem. read more

I was very pleased with the device I received from him. Mi arranged to meet me near his office location to program some remotes for me. It was done quickly and reasonably priced. He did 2 remotes for about half the price that the dealer would have done only one. Highly recommended! read more

I highly recommend. Saved me so much money by not going to the dealership and watching him work was truly amazing. He is definitely a people person and always looking out for the customers best interest. I wouldn't go to anyone else. read more

Jason was professional and diligent. He promptly returned my call and called again when he was running late. It was a difficult key replacement, but he continued on until it was complete. He even gave me a jump start because it had been a few days since the car was running. Would use him again for any sort of lock problems! read more

Bait and switch. Said would do job for a price, drive to meet him only to be told he would not do it for the quoted price and wanted an additional amount. Said I was mistaken, but correspondence was clear as to vehicle and keys needed. Find someone else. read more

Jason was a big help and extremely courteous and patient throughout the entire process. One can also tell that he enjoys talking about his work and also showing you how and why certain actions most be completed. He was able to help me identify what FOB I required and was able to quickly program and cut a new key for my vehicle. Highly recommended. read more

Yelp is posting this as Philadelphia - no, it's Honolulu! Fantastic service from Jason. He came to my house and cut and programmed 2 key/fobs for my 2003 Jag. So nice, so professional! And the savings over buying new ones from Jaguar - phenomenal. I can't say enough nice things about Jason! read more

Great service, he was able to reset the theft computer after a faulty key set it off. He also cut and programed two new keys for less than a dealer would sell one. I couldn't wven get his competition to pick up the phone. read more

I would recommend Mr. Jason Kwak without hesitation. He is honest, dependable, knowledgeable, conscientious, and very hardworking. I needed a spare remote and key for a used vehicle I had recently acquired. The dealer quoted me $800+ for a remote and key and $400+ for a plain key without remote. So I went onto Yelp to find a locksmith. I saw the great reviews for Jason. I contacted him and he responded within an hour or two. He quoted me far, far less than what the dealer was charging. Although some issues came up with my particular type of vehicle that necessitated Jason spending longer on the job than he'd originally anticipated, and making more than one trip to my place to complete the job (parts needed to be ordered from online), he honored the amount he quoted me; he didn't try to raise the price (even though, in reality, he probably lost money on this particular job or barely broke even). Also, communication with him was very good, I never had to "chase him down," he always kept me up to date on the job status. By the end, I had a working remote and key for my car at a very affordable price. And I felt like I'd made a trusted friend in the process. Thank you Jason! read more

DO NOT use ABCO LOCK & KEY. I called Jason to have my door unlocked after I left my keys inside ; first of all you can't even understand what he says ; he was very rude and told me don't call him anymore and find someone else . Are you serious? I only asked if he could get to Kaneohe . He is unprofessional and not worth a penny . read more

This is my first time calling a locksmith to get my remote key replaced. I have a Mazda 2 and lost my key somewhere at work. I came home and googled with a hope of getting some good advice. Saw ABCO on Yelp, called and met with Jason at night time on the same day. I showed him my spare key, and he used it to measure and cut to the remote key he has, and then reprogramed to make it work for my car. Everything was done in less than 45'. Now i have a new factory key with a very cheap price. It would have taken whole lot of time maybe weeks and money if i went with the dealers. And he is very friendly, too. Will definitely call him again for key and lock problems. Strongly recommend!!! read more

Jason response was quick and very professional. He knows his locks and programming of fob key. He was very accommodating with our tight schedule. Jason's quick and professional knowledge of high tech cars did his job in 40 minutes and a VERY reasonable pricing. read more

Very fast service and fair pricing. Also he was knowledgeable and friendly, will be back for future key services! Thank you!

Jason is a very experienced and educated locksmith. So thankful to have found him and his services on Yelp. He was able to make keys to locks that I had no keys for. I called a few businesses before I found him and they quickly turned me away for what I needed. Jason was interested and wanted to see what I had so I texted him pictures. Very easy to use and communicate with. Did it in an hour and brought the keys to me! Thank you Jason!! Keep up the good and hard work! read more

I'm so grateful that I called to this company to help me with my dysfunctional car door lock. My only car door lock stopped working and my alarm system was engaged, thus going off every time I went in or out of my car. Jason was able to come right out, diagnose the problem and now everything is as good as new! His prices are very fair and a lot less than a quote given to each by the dealership. I would highly recommend Jason and ABCO Lock and Key for any problem you might be having. He definitely knows what he's doing. read more

Great service at a great price. I went to Jason for a second key to Chevy spark. Both original keys had broken and I only had a copy of the original key for him to use. He managed to make a working secondhand copy key and after finding out that he needed a special chip he offered to come to my home and complete the service once he'd ordered it. Super nice and willing to spend a lot of time making sure that you get an effective new key! read more

We needed 2 keys cut and programmed for our Lexus. I called and was able to get an appointment set for the next morning. Jason was very patient in programming the keys to the vehicle. Jason provided great, responsive service. I called him about getting a spare remote for my Honda CRV and he arrived at my home within 4 hours on a Saturday. He was professional, quick and kind. He asked me to try the key myself to assure that all of the functions worked, and he also had his name (ABCO) stamped on the key so I would know it was the key he made (vs. the original that I already had). A few months ago, my extra keys were stolen so I had another lock guy come make a spare Not only did he say he could not program a new remote (using the same key Jason used!), but the spare was only good for locking and unlocking, as well as starting the engine. So it did not arm the car. I do think that is why you get a transponder!? I highly recommend Jason. It is really hard to get a reliable, professional locksmith in Honolulu, so call Jason. read more

Jason was super! Had my Camry smart key reprogrammed in 10 minutes at a great price. No need to call anyone else. Highly recommended!!

Had trouble with my ignition key not turning in my 96 Corolla. Call Jason and got a quote on the phone for $175. The car was at my residence and he said that he would be there by a certain time - in about 30 minutes. Well - he arrived just about 15 minutes later. Took a look at the car..went to work,,,he was done in about 40 minutes..He also checked on the other locks on my car... He stayed true to the $175 quote - just had to include tax. What impressed me is his skill level - being a licensed and bonded locksmith, his experience (over 20 years)....he is also a skilled machinist...he also promised continued service should there be any future need. AND he is a ONE MAN OPERATION - 24-7! read more

It's Monday...what can I say?! Oh...let's add that it's 11:15 at night! Took my dog out for his nightly business when I realize that I forgot my keys! Worse, my bf is working off island and no one else has spare keys! Darn it what was I thinking!!!!! Took a chance and called ABCO Lock & Key. I think I woke the poor guy, but he was still here in 10 min! Can't beat that! He worked on the lock for about 10min and voila...my front door opened! Jason was a lifesaver! He was quick to arrive, friendly and professional! He charged me a fair price too! I'll be holding on to his number for future use. read more

Jason worked on my car today, making me two backup keys. He was at the location early, and waited for me to arrive. He was polite, personable, and honest. He told me my keys were difficult to duplicate, and he may not have the correct blanks. If he did, they may cost $100 more than quoted. (BTW, his original quote was less than other locksmiths I called, but I chose him because of his excellent Yelp reviews - and that he was funny!) He worked on the car, and was able to make the keys. He showed me that they worked in the locks and the ignition, and he didn't charge the extra $100 that I had OK'd. AWESOME! He could easily have asked for more, but he was honest enough not to do it. When he was through, I told him my only disappointment was that I expected him to be funny, and he was working too hard on my keys to share his humor. He told me he tries to lighten the mood when his clients are upset with themselves for having locked their keys in their car/house. I enjoyed talking with Jason, and I'm so happy with his work and prices. I would recommend him anytime. Thanks! read more

I was referred to Jason Kwak by another locksmith, which to me speaks well for him. I was having problems with the ignition lock on my 2003 Honda Pilot. The Honda dealership wanted to replace the entire ignition which would have cost me about $600 dollars. Jason was able to fix my car and cut me a new key for about $260. Not only was the quality of his work excellent, he showed up to our appointment early and got to work immediately. From the start I had the impression that he's encountered this type of problem before and that he knew what he was doing. He was courteous, professional, honest and took the time to explain to me what he was doing. On top of all that, he saved me a couple hundred dollars. If I ever need a locksmith again, I'll definitely be giving Jason a call again! read more
