So tonight as we are leaving the apartment complex, my car was in the process of being towed. I tell it the window "why are you towing my car?. Driver says it's in the handicap spot but no placard. I tell him the placard is in there. He says he can't see it. I rush down to see it feel on the dash. I presented it and tell him to release it. This towing company was extremely responsive to my request and went way beyond normal customer service. I called at 8 pm because my dad's car had stalled out in Walnut Creek. Laura helped me clarify if indeed my dad's car was parked illegally and after determining that the car would be safe for the night we agreed on an early time the next day. I have a road service benefit through my car insurance, Farmers. They contract with a company to provide local towing services. I called to set up a two at 1:50 this afternoon. I got a call back in about 10 minutes confirming and ETA of 55 minutes. I got another call checking to see if the service had arrived about 10 minutes later. At 3:00, I called the main company to see what was going on. After about 20 minutes, the agent said that the provider, ABC towing had cancelled. Why? She didn't know. What could she do? Nothing...it was already rush hour. I would NEVER rely on ABC...they're the ones who cancelled with not explanation...AFTER the original ETA. read more

Some of the people who work here can't be trusted and one particular person (name is Charlie) has an awful personality. If you need their service, make sure that you don't have any items or belongings left in your car when they tow your vehicle. Take pictures of your car and engine compartment. Our bad experience with this company left us furious because the way they handled customer service. The guy (Charlie) said who would have access to your car when it was towed and locked. But they had the key to the car all along when they towed it, and now an item that was valuable was missing and the items in the compartment were all over the floor. He purposely hung up the phone also while I was talking. Will be filing a complaint through BBB as well. I wouldn't trust the YP review they have on their website also (because the name of the reviewer is Laurie and guess what? the name of the manager is also Laurie... coincidence? This review is long overdue. I was stuck on the top floor of a parking garage at the end of August 2017. I had AAA and called them. They said they would send out a person in 45 minutes. An hour went by and I called back and they said no and was assigned to come and get me, either to tow my car or restart the battery, although I had tried restarting the battery with a friend and had no luck. We also had had multiple people check to make sure we had hooked up the jumper cables correctly. Another hour went by and AAA still had not sent anybody out and had no one assigned to come help. They said that I could "go commercial" and call another company. I called another towing company who was super concerned that I was on the top floor of a parking garage and advised me to call ABC. Called ABC and explained the situation. He said they would have no problem getting me on the top floor of the parking garage. He said he would be there within 45 minutes and showed up within 35 minutes! We had negotiated a flat rate for towing as I thought that I would need to be towed over 20 miles home (since the battery would not restart with the jumper cables, I figured it was not the battery). When AJ showed up, he was able to jump start my car with only 2 tries!! So, it was the battery after all. He only charged me less than $100 for the whole service (orig. had negotiated flat rate of $400 for the towing 20+mi in traffic!). Needless to say, I canceled my AAA membership (who, by the way, only reimbursed me half of the bill) and ABC's # is now in my phone for emergency road side assistance. Thank ABC and AJ!!! read more

On 10/11/2017, I was involved in an auto accident. My insurance company told me it would take 60 minutes for their tow truck to arrive. The CHP officer (who was an absolute angel!) said because the car was in the roadway, it would have to be towed by one of the CHP's contracted towing companies. All Bay Cities Towing was the company that showed up. The driver was fast, efficient and very nice. The next day, I learned that my insurance company had dropped my car to liability only because the car was 13 years old. So, I would be responsible for the repairs, etc. The only thing they would pay for was the towing. Listen people, ABC Towing is AMAZING! They are so friendly and kind. When I didn't know what steps to take next. . .they did and they helped me out TREMENDOUSLY. I did not know what to do with the vehicle, but they helped me fill out paperwork, and actually called the salvage yard and took the vehicle where it needed to go. In this world where so many bad things happen, All Bay Cities Towing has only ANGELS employed. My sanity is saved and the nightmare is almost over! Needed to tow my car that was located on the side of our house that had been sitting for years. Called AAA they sent Cupertino Tow. The driver was very clean - only after he saw that he might have to get dirty to get the car on the truck he said he could not tow a vehicle from a side yard. Called ABC and talked to Charlie....he sent two of his guys who knew just what to do and had the equipment to do it. They got her hooked up and on the truck she went. Charlie is apparently the owner...he sent his very cool son AJ out to pick up my broken down, very low to the ground Corvette (AJ was a very positive young man with a can-do attitude). This is after a very stressful almost 4 hour ordeal with AAA, when they sent a tow company that claimed they couldn't tow it (he had a nice split flat bed but said he needed small "J-hooks" to tow me and his truck for some reason didn't have them). AAA ended up denying me service stating they can't find a company to help me (no one with a split flat bed and small J hooks available) and I have to go "comercial". I kept telling them they didn't need that but they still denied me! Pathetic, why have I been paying for AAA all these years if they can't/won't even find someone to tow my car!! There are thousands of low to the ground Corvettes - why AAA claimed they had no one that could do it is absolute BS! Anyhow, ABC came out and AJ was also concerned about getting my low Corvette (with carbon fiber ground effects) on the truck without damaging it. Regardless, he said he thought it could be done and he'd give it a try - if he was concerned about damage, he'd stop. Well, he used some standard tools and some nice tricks/techniques to get the car up without a problem. He didn't screw up my front lip, side skirts or exhaust - made it look easy as pie. Dropped it off at my house without incident. He used standard J-hooks and a standard flat bed. Well done AJ, you're the man! In the end, AJ towed my car without any special equipment, on a standard flatbed, after another tow company (Concord Tow World) and AAA said it couldn't be done. My only complaint (against all tow companies in general) is how expensive it was to get the car 10 miles to my house on a Saturday eve ($250)...but a price I'd rather pay than risk my very highly upgraded car getting damaged, pillaged or stolen. I highly recommend ABC towing - they came through when lame AAA and their flakey tow company wouldn't (or couldn't). Thanks AJ. read more

I was on Treat Blvd new Bancroft on Saturday afternoon between 3-4 pm, one of ABC's drivers was ahead of me (last of the licence plate #1441), he was tailgating drivers and weaving in heavy traffic. Big trucks take longer to stop, but I guess this driver hasn't learned that yet. He will get somebody killed if he doesn't learn to drive better! I would stay away from this company! read more

I can't say enough good things about this company, they do not fit the stereotype of a towing company that's for sure! they went out of their way to help me when a friend of mine got my car impounded, you would think that they wouldn't help me because the longer it's there the more money they make! It's just business and i understand that part, but they didn't look at it that way and helped me with the paperwork i needed for the DMV and explained everything step by step, without their help I wouldn't have known where to start, I should have my car back within the next day thanks to them! This morning my car died (in the middle of the street) as I was rushing to get to BART. I don't have towing coverage with my insurance and so I just googled "concord towing" and ABC towing came up. It was before 8am so I wasn't sure they were open but Charlie answered right away. I explained my situation, gave him my address and he was there in less than 15 minutes. Before hooking up my car he went out of his way to do a little trouble shooting first to see if we could get it started. After multiple trial and error attempts we unfortunately we're having no luck (but it wasn't due to lack of effort, I mean he literally tried everything!) he hooked up my Trailblazer and towed it to my mechanic of choice. ABC's prices seem fair and the customer service is first class. Charlie is co-owner/operator with his wife and one of the nicest guys I've ever met.
