Contacted roadside service through Connect. Turbo tow was confirmed to come over between 90 to 106 minutes. After nearly an hour waiting Turbo tow decided not to honor my request. Didn't even reach out to me. Alex from Turbo Tow text messaged me after I posted the 2star review above. I called him. He advised me that the tow truck driver arrived, called my phone- it went straight to voicemail. Driver called Alex and left because they didn't see my car. (How could they? It was in the garage.) A simple confirmation to ring the doorbell would have solved the matter. He explained that when they couldn't contact me, the driver moved onto the next customer. Alex advised that they can come back in 30 minutes but when I said that another tow service is already on their way, he advised me to call the other tow service so I can note their phone numbers in case they call me. I bought a vintage car on eBay and had it shipped out from New York. I had it delivered to a mechanic in Orinda for a once-over before driving it here. Well....it's in worse shape than I thought and they recommended I not drive it, especially through the tunnel between Orinda and Oakland. I contacted Turbo Towing and they had me text the details. From there I got a quote that sounded reasonable, especially since I needed a flatbed tow and the car is vintage and needs some love. Once the mechanic told me it was ready to go, I contacted Turbo again and they said they would have it to me by 10AM the next day. Sure enough, at 9:59, I heard the rumbling of the truck outside and there she was. The driver showed obvious care with the vehicle and was extremely careful unloading. It's a shame to leave a small business such a low score but Jose quoted me LITERALLY 4 TIMES, what another company had to transport a motorcycle from N. California to S. California, accused me of lying when I told him the other quoted price, then laughed at me for even suggesting he could do the job. When I told him many companies haul several bikes at once so they can offer competitive prices, he stopped laughing. Kenneth was returning my phone call, reassuring us before I had even finished my message, it seemed. He was kind and helpful. Company is unprofessional and unreliable. Drivers sound like poorly educated gang bangers. I called my insurance for a tow. They contracted turbo who called me and said they cant tow my vehicle and he would get another tow truck that can. Was argumentative on the phone. I call him back an hour later to check the status and he tells me he called the insurance to cancel the job. I call my insurance, progressive and they tell me turbo didnt cancel and that they were going to complain about turbo. I call back turbo to tell them what I think of them and guy hangs up on me calls me back and insults me. Dont hire these low life ghetto ass company. read more
