I was looking for someone to replace my digital lock, but allow us to still use the original key. Al responded within the day. He discussed what we wanted to do, and also said he could replace our door handle as well. He called the day ahead to reconfirm, and showed up promptly on time. He went over beforehand what we wanted and proceeded to show us step by step what he was doing, and took great care to use longer screws to make the locks and handle safer and more secure. He was efficient, courteous, and shared a lot of his knowledge with us! Would request him again without hesitation!!!! read more

Al replied very promptly to my quote request, was available on a Saturday and with relatively short notice, and did an overall great job. He's also a nice guy! The thing I really like is that Al is very familiar with the homes in my neighborhood, and stocks the the right supplies for common issues that homeowners have in the area (I had them, too). I had Al work on locks on all the doors in my home and he did a great job. If I ever need more lock assistance, I'll surely call him again. read more

I called because I bought a Tacoma but didn't realize that the only key they gave me was a valet key. I went to the dealer to see how much it would cost to get a master key and to program it. It was ridiculously expensive. Gave Al a call and he picked up right away even though he was driving. I confirmed that he could accomplish what I needed. I called on Friday and he was able to fit me in on Monday. He even came to my job!! Super nice guy. Very reasonable priced. Is mobile and can come to you. read more

I would go with Al every time I need a locksmith. He is very responsive and dependable. I had a broken deadbolt and he answered right away. He was very patient, and he knows his stuff so he can find the best solution to your problem. He works fast but doesn't rush so he does it right. He makes sure you know what to do before he leaves. And he cleans up whatever mess he makes. You know he's honest as he tries to use existing parts that still work to save you money. To top it off, he is friendly, courteous, and professional. And not to mention, very affordable. I was so surprised when I saw our bill. Thank you Al. Will definitely call you the next time I have a need for a locksmith. read more

I contacted Al to get all the door and gate locks changed for my property. There was good timely communication and Al was able to meet me on a weekend to get the job done. There were some issues with some of the old locks which he tried to fix, and in the end he was able to make suggestions that made the most sense for my situation. Al was able to re-key all 8 locks down to just 3 keys, which makes things much simpler. I'd highly recommend AB Lock & Key for projects like this! read more

Al was here several years ago and I kept his name and number in my phone. Today he came because my sliding door locks would only lock on and off. He repaired and serviced all the locks and I asked him to replace all my 50 year old doorknobs, because I thought they were too ugly and old looking. Lol Because he was so reasonable and fair, I didn't even ask him for an estimate and wasn't disappointed. Very unlike me not to ask. Al did a fabulous job, couldn't recommend him more highly. read more

Got to Zippys & my key was stuck in the ignition. I used AB lock before so I had his number saved on my phone. I was hoping he'd answer because it was already 8:15pm. Anyways AL came to me within 10 minutes, apparently he lives right down the street. While he worked on my car, i went & ordered food. By the time I got back he was done already! Hard working reliable depending guy, he went above and beyond to make keys and a remote for my car. Thanks Al!

This guy Al, one of those guys you just gotta love. He came to my rescue by fitting me in his busy Saturday schedule and unlocking my car door to retrieve my valuables (especially the car keys to the locked car). In addition to that, he was willing to remove and install a brand new lock & key setup to my house back door - all on a whim! When all was said and done, his total charge for service was ridiculously low; I guess comparative to the stress of locking my car keys in my car and having to deal with a 'buss up' house door all this time. Knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, easy on the wallet, and like I said earlier...one of those guys you just gotta love. Mahalo Al. read more
