Jack came by 20 minutes after my call to explaining our lock issues and gave the best possible and cheapest option to go without breaking my door down. Super nice guy with over 43 years of experience! He was even able to tell me a little history on my hinges and lock and how the military would of taken care of it back in the days. I highly recommend Jack and will be keeping him in my contacts in case I should need his services in the future and will recommend him to our friends and family as well. Mahalo Jack! read more

Needed to rekey some locks for my home so I reached out to several locksmiths in the area to get an estimate for the job and a timeline of when the it could be done. Jack's service offering was the most affordable and also the one who could perform the rekeying today. 30 minutes later he was at my door and he did excellent work to rekey my locks in a short matter of time. I'll be sure to reach out to him for any lock service needs in the future. Thanks Jack! read more

Tonight, after what seemed to be the longest day ever, especially since I only got an hour and a half of sleep in the last 24 hours, we returned home after celebrating my daughter's birthday. My teenaged son asked me for the keys to get into the house and opened the door, only to tell me the key wouldn't come out. I thought he was joking, he wasn't. Turns out he opened the door to my mom's house, using my house key for my house in Mililani. Both keys are Schlege and are almost identical, but one is cut deeper and goes in farther. Being the hard headed Okinawan woman I am,I YouTubed and googled the problem and watched a bunch of videos and tried them all out and couldn't get the key out of the door knob. After a half hour, I took the door knob off and got my keysmart key holder off the key that was stuck, hoping it'd be easier to handle. I was wrong again. My fiancé gave me $200 to help me pay for a locksmith. I had to accept the offer because I was sure I'd have to spend most of or all of the $200 he gave me. He told me to call a 24 hour locksmith, I was very hesitant. One because I don't just trust anyone. Especially with locks to a home filled with sentimental valuables and my most important things in my life, my family members. Two, because I was afraid I'd get charged an insane price especially since it was 9 pm by the time I called. Three I felt bad calling anyone to help me as it was getting late. So I finally gave in, went onto yelp and started researching 24 hour locksmiths. Jack's Lock Service caught my eye because it's listed location is Pearl City, where I was, and though there's some really good reviews, there are the not so good ones. I looked at it as everyone has their own opinions and that's only human, but I needed someone close by and fast as well as knowledgeable. Costs was a big factor too, but at that point I had to just take a chance, I had no door knob on the door, it couldn't lock with it. And I worried about the safety of my mom and children. Sure I could try to stay up and stand guard with that hour and a half of sleep under my belt, but then what would I do when I need to leave in the morning to drop my kids off at school and get myself to work? I called 456-1235, and a nice woman, who turned out to be Jack's wife, answered the phone and promptly gave the phone over to Jack. I briefly spoke to Jack, who from the moment he answered the phone, was very professional. I think I told him what had happened and he tried to tell me what I could do to fix the problem myself and save my money. I told him I had tried for almost an hour by that point and was worried I'd end up breaking the key in the lock. He told me he could be at the house in 15 minutes, he got here in 10. Within 5 minutes he had greeted me and looked at the door knob and key stuck inside, then got the key out of the lock it was stuck inside. It was quite interesting to watch him work. The whole time as he worked diligently on reinstalling the door knob and making sure it was working smoothly, opening and locking, we had a pleasant conversation. I've never felt so comfortable with anyone who's ever installed, repaired or provided any service to any home I've lived in. But Jack is the exception. I'm so glad that I saw Jack listed on yelp. I'd say total time it took him to arrive, and work on and complete the key removal and reinstall the door knob, was approximately 25 minutes. I was very impressed and thankful for meeting Jack and seeing for myself that the good reviews about him are definitely true. The other reviews, I can't even fathom. If you want a quick, reliable, knowledgeable and economical locksmith, call Jack. When he told me my total I almost fell over. I was expecting to pay at least 4-5 times that amount. I'm not gonna quote what he charged me, because I don't want anyone to assume every situation is the same and confuse prices and services with their needs. All I can say is you'll be amazed and very pleased. Jack thanked me for calling him, I thanked him for keeping my family safe tonight, and being available and affordable. I couldn't have been any luckier in finding Jack. Btw Jack is retired military and nearing his 70's, a really knowledgeable and cool guy. We talked story for about 20 minutes after he was done. I told him I'd love to write a review of my experience and how much I appreciate his help (work) and that I couldn't believe how reasonable a fee he charged. He said he didn't expect anything and doesn't ask customers to write reviews, a very humble man. But in my case, I'm a yelper, I can't help but to post a review, especially exceptional, small local business. If you want a locksmith you can trust, want quality work and services and affordable prices, call Jack, I wouldn't consider calling anyone else. read more

Jack's Lock Service - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Mililani, Hawaii

I needed an emergency house cylinders recode due to a break in. Jack was very responsive and personable. His price is very reasonable.

Jack tried to help me over the phone as what I needed done sounded simple. He even had me take pictures of the lock in question and send it to him. I called Island Locksmith first they quoted me $50 to come out and $120-199 for the job itself at 530pm on a Monday night so I expected it to be pricey but I told them I would call them back. Shai even said, "Just so you know, there's a scam going around they tell They'll come out for $65, then end up charging you $300. But based on the Yelp reviews, I tried Jack next. Like I said earlier, Jack tried to help me over the phone. He said he doesn't like charging people for something similar. He quoted me $50. Because he sounded sincere about not wanting to charge people, I didn't question if the cost would go up once he got here. I'm pretty handy, so I had already tried all the things he recommended over the phone, so he came out from Mililani to Ewa it took him maybe 20-30 minutes. He ended up needing to break the lock to remove it and even helped me put the new lock on. He charged me $50! For everything. I am so amazed that there was another company ready to charge me $170-249 for the same job, AND I would have to wait for over an hour for someone to arrive. Jack is old-school, an older gentleman, and reminds me of a grandpa. If you want someone trustworthy with dozens of years of experience under his belt. I WILL recommend Jack to anyone and everyone needing any type of locksmith service. read more

Very responsive and fair, I would definitely recommend. Communication was thorough and I was confident in his work. Thank you

Around 7:30pm my mom and husband were locked out of our house because our front door lock broke. After searching through Facebook and Yelp we stumbled upon Jack's lock service. In 45 minutes he was at our house in Ewa to save the day! He gave us a temporary solution by opening the door and promised to come back the following day for a permanent fix. He followed through and came back the next day to change all our doors. He was so kind and helpful! read more

I broke my key accidentally.. called a few other places that didn't respond on a Saturday afternoon. Jack did, and was at my apartment in around 20 minutes just like he said he would. Took him less than 5 minutes to easily get into my condo to my surprise.. most of that time was him trying to find the payment app . Great service with 50 years of experience on island. Would use his services and and recommend if you're in a bind. Didn't cost more than I expected, quick service, and no damage to my property read more

The key to our main house door suddenly wouldn't work ... as though it was jammed. We called Jack & he came within 20 min. Instead of replacing it with a brand new door lock, he took the time to take it apart and replaced it. He is courteous, professional & knows what he's doing. His pricing is very nominal and I would definitely tell my friends about him & use him again. read more

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack got me into my house in less than a minute! Wait, is that how the rhyme goes? Haha either way, Jack was phenomenal. He took a little longer than 15 mins to arrive but I couldn't blame him. It was raining and well, we all know what happens on the road when it rains - everyone forgets how to drive. Anyways, Jack literally got me in my house in less than a minute. Quick, fast, and efficient. Will be using his services in the future (though I hope I'll never have to). Thanks Jack! FYI, he takes cash or card and he doesn't service Ewa Beach. read more

Skilled professionals that you can count on to get the job done quickly and correctly. Highly recommended.

Jack is awesome! He arrived in 15 min and offered his advice after advising us that he and other locksmiths would not be able to open our residential locks due to the style and brand. I was grateful that he didn't charge us a fee for coming out even if he couldn't do anything for us as I believe some other companies would. I would definitely recommend him and and god forbid I have to get a locksmith again for other reasons I would use jack again. Oh jack was very apologetic too that he was unable to help us which was unnecessary as it was nothing he could control. read more

Jack was super fast. We somehow shut the front door on our way to an important dinner but forgot we left the keys in the house. We found Jack on Yelp, called him to explain our situation and in less than 20 minutes he came to our place. He had our front door unlocked in less than 2 minutes which was awesome, but at the same time kind of scary that he could do it so fast! He does take credit cards and charged us $55. He is definitely the guy to call if you ever absentmindedly lock yourself out. We made it on time to our dinner and my boyfriend and I are still together, thanks to Jack! ******** Jack to the rescue. We were locked out of our house. He let us back in! read more

Jack is a gentleman! Let's start off with that. He is courteous and knowledgeable! He came out to get me into my house. My lock broke with the key stuck in the door. FIRST OFF: Jack is an angel, LIFE SAVER! The wife and I were outside having a BBQ with our dogs and clumsy me I locked the door "out of habit" with a beer for wifey. Little did I know I locked the door! I only found out when I had to run back inside to get a plate for the food. So I called Jack and he was very accommodating and had very excellent customer service! He was done is less than 5 seconds! Next time (hopefully not) I get locked out, he'll be my next call! Thanks so much Jack, my wife and I really appreciate it! read more

Called today in a major bind of being locked out of my apartment and they were there within 10 minutes! Very affordable too!

Fast service and very experience. Very highly recommended. Use him and smile at the end. Thank you

Jack is a great guy who provides excellent service at a very reasonable price. A Navy vet who served in the Vietnam War, he has been a locksmith for the 40+ years since then and there probably isn't a lock problem he has not seen and solved. Was timely in his arrival, thorough in his assessment of my lock issues and offered low cost solutions and/or alternatives that I had not thought of to improve my lock and key situation. Humble guy, great to talk to, patient in the face of any lock problem and an expert in providing an acceptable lock and key solution. Highly recommended for any lock or key problem you have. Will definitely use him again. read more

My son pushed in the lock on our file cabinet. Jack's price quote was about 40% less than others. Best of all he told me to order keys for the lock instead of having him come out. We tried that route but alas the keys did not work so we ended up calling jack to come out. In a few seconds he unlocked the cabinet and took out the lock so we don't have this prob again. He also gave tips to minimize theft around out house. Great guy and great service. read more

This guy SUCKS. Don't be "24 hours" if you're not really 24 hours. It was 11 PM and I called about 3 times and it went straight to voicemail. I tried again around at 12AM & he answered & asked where at & what kind of lock and then goes "I'm just really tired right now I can't drive out there right now" and hangs up.
