My car was vandalized last night. It's just broken window which is a fairly simple affair. But you can't park in public with the broken window or everything it's inside your car won't be there when you come back. Perhaps even the car won't be there. Aaa does not have any service other than allowing you to report the claim on the weekends. I can't get any help with a rental car or with putting my car in a safe place where it won't be Vandalized further. When I called last night I was told the system was down and someone call me at 9 o'clock this morning. It's 10:51 and no one has called. I've been on the phone since 8 o'clock trying to get some help from AAA and there is none to be had. The report that I made last night did not get handled I had to file a new claim this morning again. I will be changing carriers as soon as I finish this review. The money that I saved it was lost today because I had to cancel my entire workday and that was far more lost than I was saving By having Aaa. Total thumbs down for AAA. read more

My tire got flat around 11 PM I called for help they said 33 minutes and I'm in very dangers part off Vallejo after 2 hours they send this kid look like he is 16 years old. With out no showing me any cars about my situation he didn't even said hello to me he is telling me do you know where is the tool to get the spear tire out?? They are amazing!!! A friend recommended AAA insurance and rightfully so! I was late on my registration so I needed to get my stickers and they basically have a non-crowded DMV inside the building! My insurance carrier of 10+ years had just raised my rate up to $7,300 for my Family of 4 drivers. My son had a couple accidents, $7,000 payout for both together. Anyhow, I went to AAA and they saved me over $3,000 on the Auto and the Home policies I transferred over. Better coverage also. I did take my son off my policy, put the car in only his name, with his own new policy, which was not a problem. Glad to be back with CSAA. The agent was knowledgeable, Cheryl, had good suggestions and looked out for my best interests. Also, being able to use CSAA's DMV service to transfer the title on my son's car was very quick and convenient--the local DMV office is a nightmare. read more

I had a DMV transaction and luckily they do this. I got there early, knowing there would be a line. It was very fast once they opened. I really like the fact that the gentleman working the front door goes thru the line and asks what you will be doing and he checked to see if you have everything you need, or let you know if this is something that can be done so you didn't have to wait in line for nothing. Why is it taking the Insurance Adjuster so long to handle my case. The car accident claim is going on almost 1 month & I still haven't heard anything about the other party who hit the side of my vehicle to pay the deductible/damages of my vehicle. The other party insurance whose car insurance is Gyco & to this day the claim hasn't been resolved. Why do I have to be the one to contact this adjuster for AAA name Rebecca, it's her job to go after Gyco (send the pictures I sent you, make a stand, do what I've been paying Insurance for all these years). This is just unacceptable customer service. I'm wondering if my claim will ever be resolved, why does it take so long? Can you do something like yesterday? I was at no fault and still no update. If I could give AAA a zero, I would. My claim is still open, and it shouldn't take this long (almost 1 month). read more

I arrived at the branch 5 minutes before they opened. I was the first in line for the dmv transactions. The representative was very courteous & friendly. A normal all day experience at the dmv literally took 6 - 7 minutes for me to pay my registration, get my tags & paperwork !!!! I'll remain a AAA member for this experience alone. read more

I came in to take care of my rental insurance, I was in and out so fast. Greatly appreciated the customer service!

Due to COVID there were limitations to how many were able to be inside the building. The line started outside and markers were on the floor to tell you where to stand. The only friendly person I came across was the gentleman who was outside directing where people need to go. Other than that customer service was bad. The inside was really dim. The workers acted as if everyone was infected and didn't want to be there. They were not friendly and did not smile. Even though this location is close to home I plan on using the location close to my workplace instead. read more

I switched to AAA after State Farm tried to raise my rates almost $600 a year- no accidents, claims or tickets- just because. I've been with AAA roadside service for 6yrs & never had a problem until today. I called to have my truck towed from one mechanic shop (before being charged storage fees) to another mechanic shop (before closing), I waited for close to an hour before AAA tow truck arrived,(but he rolled up,made a U turn & kept going, I chased him down in my car only for driver to say "I'll be back" (when he rolled down his window to tell me that ,my nostrils got filled with the smell of marijuana, I called AAA upset with this & maybe said a few inappropriate words (nothing directed @ dispatcher,but directed at driver)& my tow was cancelled leaving me stuck with a storage fee Thumbs down from me to AAA I'm cancelling all membership with AAA,as of tommorow They SUCK !!! After 12 months I have used this service 3 times. After 1 year of AAA Premier Service here are the flaws or dissatisfied and unexpected lack of service that I have experiences in 12 month period. I bought a car in another state and got it back home and took all my paper work to the local office. "We do not do out of state vehicle transfers" GREAT! Second dissatisfied service, around 5pm my wife was on the freeway and her care was acting weird and she took the off ramp. It stalled and would not start and she called AAA. She got a recording stating that they were extremely busy and a high volume of calls and you can either call back later, log in online or call the Police. At that point I do not think she was able to talk to an AAA person. So, I had to go to the location and the CHP tow truck pulled her off the on ramp and out of harm's way. I went onsite after trying to contact AAA and got nowhere. I was a beyond pissed! I arrived onsite a 30 min drive and she said she finally got ahold of someone. 30 minutes later the AAA tow truck just showed up. GREAT! Tonight 5:45 pm we have a problem and need a new battery. I called AAA went thru all the paperwork and verifying who what and where just to be told there was NOT an available provider at this time! GREAT! I have to add today the following day. I called AAA once again for a new battery. Since 6pm was beyond their service time in the SF Bay Area as I was quoted last night. I made the appointment and I gave them my car make and model details and I was told that at representative was on his way. He arrived at within 20 minutes. He tested the battery and looking in his reference book. Just to tell me that he or AAA cannot provide me with a battery for my 1995 Lexus ES300. They only have batteries for cars 2002 and newer! I told him he has a whole truck full. He said he would be liable. I ran an auto shop for years, there is not issues with replacing batteries under normal conditions which my situation was a normal battery replacement! GREAT! Here is the deal, living in the Bay Area; I go by 2 AAA HUGE Corporate office buildings daily. I am paying close to $195.00 for my Premium service, yet not receiving the Premium service that I want or expected! I do not see any of this explained in the sugar coated adds or advertisements. I have gotten some good tows from 3rd party vendors. But, when it really comes down to an official AAA employee besides the person on the phone taking my request it has been a disappointment most of the times. Picture what I am saying in a real life situation. Also, I have complained and I was told that the "Corporation" is aware on the IVR voice message stating basically too busy at times to help you or even answer the phone and they are working on it. I am a corporate employee and I know it is complete BS! On a scale of 1-10 I would give the 3rd parties tow vendors a 9 and the AAA corporate involvement to provide services a 4 out of 10. Not happy and dissatisfied in the lack of customer service that I expected they would have or provide in our AAA Premium service. It falls short! read more

Over the last few years, I have seen a serious decline in normal human-to-human contact at many AAA locations. The most aggregious event took place on July 11, 2011, at the AAA office in Vallejo, CA. I walked in, asked the receptionist to speak with a travel person regarding wine country. For the record, we looked good--not overtired from travel, or anything like that. It shouldn't matter, but I am mentioning it. When the receptionist just gave us a map, I explained that I already have an AAA map. She was unswayed and explained how her map is better than mine and that all the wineries I may want to see are "along the 12." This went on for a few minutes. Regardless of how I approached it, no matter how clear I was about wanting a specialist with knowledge of the immediate area to help me identify trip ideas, this receptionist was determined to not let me have face time with anyone. Finally, I added a request: I requested a printout of another existing Trip-tic on my AAA online account. This seemed to do the trick. The receptionist called a travel specialist over to assist. I was warned, however, that, normally, AAA does not print Trip-tics. I soon learned why--the struggling specialist was not qualified to perform this task, and would not contact technical support. The specialist greeted me, and requested my stops information (remember--my urgent need is the wine country detour from my trip, but I began with this). I repeated about 5 or 6 times that the route is saved under my AAA login. It was only at this point that she explained that she would not log into my account. I volunteered to login and was told that AAA clients may not use AAA hardware. Why did you make me repeat my request so many times? Why didn't you tell me this initially? Why didn't the receptionist? Is discouraging simply the standard script for that AAA location? I had spent about 20 hours online using AAA's Trip-tic software to prepare the trip this specialist wanted to recreate. Really? Is this really the best course for customer service? I read my list of trip stops for the specialist, who produced a huge PDF that she attempted to print all at once using too little memory. She could resolve this problem if she owuld break the print job into 10- or 20-page segments. Seriously, this is a common and easily resolved problem with PDF's and I expect that AAA has encountered it prior to my visit! Her computer knowledge was such that she could not tell me what version of Windows she was using. This is not a crime; not calling tech. support, at my expense, is, though! AAA wasted an hour of my time. A few minutes later, I learned all that I needed from the nail salon nearby. An example of what the nail people told me that AAA did not think to--Vallejo has a ferry to San Francisco. Basic? This tidbit provided me options I had been unaware of previously, and helped me to make changes to my route. read more

I hadn't been here in a while. A few years ago the DMV services were mixed. One of the two people being helpful and knowledgeable, but the other ... just lousy. Lazy, didn't know her job and suggested i got to the DMV for anything that required thinking. In addition, they were charging a $10.00 per transaction fee. I stopped going. Also, they closed down the very nice travel shop that had a wonderful variety of travel goodies that my wife loved to shop at. So, today... after reading some reviews I decided to give another try. I had a silly complication which required that I bring my renewal to a DMV office [surely you know that the Vallejo DMV has become a house of horrors]. My experience was quick, easy, and NO transaction fee. You are STILL LIMITED TO CASH or CHECK, but that is fine as long as you know before arrival [thanks Yelpers]. I also got some Tourbooks and maps. CSAA has THE highest quality maps and good tour guides also. We get spoiled by the 'net and NAV, but sometimes these are quite useful. The lady manning the front desk and maps/guides area was friendly and helpful. I will give them a try next time I have a need. It is nice to get something in return for my long term membership. read more

I've been a member of AAA for years! This place & location is great and well ran. When you walk in, the main desk is there to find out your needs. If you need to talk with an insurance agent, they'll ask you to wait if needed in a nice seating area to the left until one is available. I think the greatest benefit of this place is to get your DMV car registration done! It totally beats having to go to the DMV!! I came by a couple of weeks ago and was all done under 10 minutes! During this visit, I also visited their travel agent to ask questions about taking a trip to Hawaii. If you're not a member, these are great reasons to be one! read more
