This is just a little update on the branch and the services I've newly enrolled myself in, and most…read moreimportantly, my mother.
I was finally able to visit the branch. I was greeted by Roxanne promptly, and Ian was waiting for me at the door. I also got to finally meet David! David was so nice! Knew exactly who I was, and shook my hand. It's really cool to see that the David Sikes branch operates like a close family, as opposed to any other business.
I don't have life insurance anymore since I quit my job due to illness, and wanting to go back to school. Sometimes, this can be worrisome. My grandfather had passed only days before, and even he didn't see it coming. This really woke me up to go to Ian and sign myself up.
For less than $200 a year, I have a 10-year-term life insurance policy for $50,000. PLUS, it gets me an additional discount on my car insurance! Now, even if I don't work, or have insurance, if something happens, I'm covered. Knowing my mother had no life insurance, I asked Ian if it was possible to insure her even she was an Ohio resident.
Ian told me that yes, as long as she was in the state of California, and signed all her electronic paperwork in the state, we were good! So the next day I brought my mother in to sign up, too. She had less of an idea about the plans than I did! My mom can be intense, but Ian welcomed her dry, sarcastic humor with open arms. Even told me later she was hilarious! (Which is a relief, because she can be frightening.)
My mom was on a pressed schedule (we were dealing with a lot of funeral and legal stuff), and Ian was totally okay with that. They finished the policy over the phone the next morning, and now for $200/month, my mother is covered for a good grip of money, for life.
Looking at the life insurance policies I had for my grandmother (who is bed ridden and now in a home), I was very confused. I asked Ian if he knew if his plans could do better, and if he could explain things to me. Ian didn't even hesitate to help. He helped my mother and I make sense of the life insurance policy, and what options we had.
There are not enough words to explain how much this branch has done for me AND my family. As long as this branch exists, I have zero reason to go anywhere else for any insurance needs.
