STAY AWAY!!! They said $500 was the first six months insurance. Then the insurance bill for a monthly payment came. Called Cost U Less. to let them know we had paid for six months already......ahhh,,,no...$313 plus start up fee and miscellaneous other fees was the $500. Shonette who sold this insurance to us basically pocketed the $500 for fictitious fees. Insurance is still owing. If you get Shonette.....hang up! My name is Tyrone Moore. I by far want to say I had the honor, privilege, and pleasure of working with the BEST agent that resides in that office and her name is Solita Santos. She is an absolute ROCKSTAR! And no I'm not being bias I'm just stating FACTZ!!. The whole day I spent being denied coverage, or being presented with outrageous coverage prices that would have cost me an arm, kidney, or heart: however, Soli the superstar within minutes was able to find me the coverage I wanted but for way under the price I was expecting to pay. So of course we solidified everything only for me to unfortunately having to months later cancel the policy due to an unforeseen job layoff. So months later I was able to gain employment and who do I call to help me reinstate my policy the one and only Soli the superstar. Unfortunately to much time had past and I had to do a new policy but Soli informed me that they had acquired 3 new brokers that might have even better prices for the coverage I wanted in the past, and what do you know when she ran my exact same coverage for what I previously had the quote I had in the past of $150 was now $95 like is Soli a magician or what that's a savings of $55 which in San Diego you need every savings of anything you can get. you get what you pay for. if you are looking for specific coverage, make sure you are getting the right plan. i recently started service through them, i was grateful for them to stay after hours (being that i showed up 30min's before closing). The system was super slow, so we didn't get out until almost 8:30 pm. When we rushed out, i didn't feel comfortable leaving because our rep had mentioned she forgot to input full coverage instead of liability. the next day i stopped by to make sure everything was set up correctly. They have some one in the store with the lights on but are "closed." They close at 6pm but they still have staff available inside the store that is fully capable of helping me but can't because they have a written sign that says "closed 3pm.."How stupid, I'm definitely switching my insurance policy to someone else. I should be able to pay cash, sometimes ppl don't have credit or debit cards readily available now my policy is going to lapse, terrible customer service. Says that they are open on Saturdays, but they're never open on any Saturdays. This is so annoying that this business can't even change the hours on the door or their website, but every week they can put a stupid paper note on the door saying they will reopen on Monday. Why don't you just let everybody know that you are never OPEN on Saturdays instead of being misleading. I work 52.5 hours a week and need to do things on Saturdays and never can. To use the word 'unprofessional' would be an understatement: I called back after receiving a missed call from them and was treated like a total inconvenience. I first asked if there was something wrong with my account (since I had just opened a policy with them last week) and she didn't even say anything she just transferred my call directly over to their automated customer service line. I hung up and called back (it sounded like I was talking to a different female this time) and asked to speak to Ivette since she's who helped me open my policy and knew she would help me- the girl I was speaking to didn't even say anything she just transferred my call without so much as a word. Called yesterday around 4:30 spoke to Yvonne, informing her that i needed to be insured for my employer, but I don't own a car what should I do?....she told exactly what i needed and told me to come in and she would be there to help...I went in at 6 and she was there waiting to great me...her customer service was amazing I felt extremely comfortable and was able to trust that i was in good hands...the policy i was quoted was exactly what i needed but i wanted to pay for the entire year so i returned the following day and was helped by Pamela she was able to pick up exactly where me and Yvonne left off and make the whole process go by very smoothly...i really appreciate both Yvonne and Pamela because they were there to help and accomplish my request very fast read more

So a couple of weeks ago me and my husband arrived at cost u less at 11:30AM to get a new policy. we waited patiently while the Manager and a co worker got into an argument in front of all the customers waiting. very unprofessional. but anyways when it was finally our turn it was about 6pm we did NOT leave that store until 8:30PM. We have numerous cars to which are registered in my mother in laws name and that needed to be full coverage we got everything signed and finally left feeling overwhelmed. So now that we have paid a lot of money down and just paid our monthly premium we called our insurance and they said we have sent you a cancellation policy because there are to many cars that are not registered in your name. So we called the manager who helped us right now and she had the nerve to tell my husband that "It's pretty obvious that when you have that many cars it is not going to be covered!!!!" Are you kidding me? Why would she not mention this after we had been waiting for 7 hours in the office!!! We would have gone to a different company! We would not have waited that long on a Saturday to be told 2 weeks later by the insurance company that Cost U Less knows of this policy. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD US!!!!!! Now we are out 1000 because of them!! Now we have NO insurance because the lady was tired from being the only one in the office for 8 hours. It was not our fault but she made it our fault for having "TO MANY CARS" We are sorry that we need to have cars so we can go to work and a family car for the weekend!! I am so utterly mad at them for doing this to us! Now we have to go back there and hopefully they will fix this mess that manager Alejandra Gavino caused!!!
