The guys were friendly and worked hard all day--in the middle of a Texas July no less. But I'm pretty picky, so 5 stars is asking a bit much. The only negative I can come up with is that it took considerably longer to move than I expected, so the cost was considerably more than I expected. But on the positive side, they wrapped everything single piece of furniture in moving blankets and cellophane. So nothing was damaged. Let's be realistic... 2 guys working 8 hours actually trying to do a good, careful job is not going to be cheap. But I will use them again because I know what to expect and appreciate the results. If your furnishings are crap find someone cheaper to handle the job. read more

These movers are very professional and move quickly while using caution and care for your belongings. They have blankets and shrink wrap available to protect all of your valuables. I had several pieces of furniture that were wrapped carefully to avoid any damage from happening. Every item was carefully loaded in the truck to insure it was secure. I've experienced other movers loading items in the truck with no care or consideration which has resulted in damage but this company doesn't conduct business in that manner. The guys (Nick & Adrian) were super polite throughout the whole process. My move required two days since I was dealing with a storage unit. With that said, they never once had an attitude about the work or the amount of items to move. They continually kept me updated on the expected time of completion. First things first. Everybody's absolute nightmare is moving. I would rather have a root canal while giving birth on the side of a freeway than work with most movers. AAA moving solutions gave me faith in this profession again! From the first time I spoke with Nick to discuss my cross-country move, he was professional and conscientious about what the move would require considering my needs. I chose to go with a concierge move, meaning that I wanted a truck dedicated to only my belongings. From scheduling to loading up the truck to actual delivery, everything was handled according to plan. NOT ONCE did I have to levitate and spit green stuff which has happened in the past with other movers. All of my items arrived undamaged and unbroken. There were some items that did get chipped but I have to take ownership because I packed all of the items myself and those were the items that I did not put enough cushion inside the packaging. Mine was not an easy move given all of the stairs in my townhouse but he and Kerry were fantastic with placing the items where I needed them to be which made set up and getting back to work a lot less headache for me. This is my second time using AAA. I moved two years ago and found the little flyer attached to my door. They had a good special going on at the time, so I gave them a call. I spoke with Bob, who is very personable. He explained to me who was going to come move my belongings, what their process was, and how much it was going to be. I had Nick and Doug previously. They were great! Super nice guys and very professional. They took great care of my belongings, shrink wrapped and padded EVERYTHING. That's my favorite part--that everything gets wrapped, so you know your furniture is safe. Fast forward to today. I called Bob last week for an available time slot. He was really helpful in finding what would be best for me on short notice and had been really good at communicating the plan. He also honored my coupon from my previous move! I have Nick again, because Bob thought it would be helpful to have a familiar face. It certainly is! Nick is courteous, professional and friendly. He recognized me and my current apartment. His partner is Pete today. He's been the runner, while Nick wraps everything. So both guys have been quite efficient! I've got a one bedroom apartment and, unfortunately, a slow elevator. But, besides the elevator, the guys have been pretty quick! They've even set up my washer and dryer, which is GREAT! So now I can get right back to that giant pile of laundry that I've been putting off... ;) I'm certain I'll use these guys again. Nick and Calvin were the best! We moved from the second floor to the third at another apartment complex and they made the process easy and enjoyable. They were very polite and quick! They made sure to give a call a day before and an hour before arrival. They also wrap and cushion all of our electronic and furniture. We hired they for about 5 hours and it was a very good rate! Moving team did not want to load using my driveway and garage, which would eliminate a longer walk to/from the truck, eliminate stairs and yard and speed up the moving process. The person I spoke to on the phone quoted me 4 hours for the load/unload and requested $125 deposit. The estimated balance due after the deposit would be $275. It was $555...a significant increase. They got to my new apt, 5 miles from my other residence and informed me they were running behind "as I could see" and laid down the new quote for me to sign and asked for the payment then. The unloading continued thereafter. And they moved slower & slower as the day progressed. They damaged both legs on the front of a burl wood desk, chipped the glass shelf in china cabinet, took almost 1/2 hour to assemble a simple bed with 3 screws in each bedpost and put 5 large boxes clearly labeled storage/garage into the apartment so that I had to get a dolly the next day and move them to the detached garage by myself. I'm almost 70 years old! They covered furniture and shrink wrapped items well. No complaints there. I was, however, disappointed in the technique used to increase the price. It was very manipulative. The crew leader, Eric, indicated the person who had taken my order, Bob, and who confirmed the price, etc. had not told them how much furniture I had. This was interesting because all the emails I had were from Eric. No Bob. I never received my consumer copy of the modified agreement. Or the original. This is not how an above-board business is run. Being affable and smiling is simply another means by which they attempt to persuade a customer to pay the higher price. read more

I used AAA Moving Solutions to move me from one apartment to another, which is approximately 6 miles away from each other. I was moving from a 1 bedroom with den to another 1 bedroom with den. The majority of my items were already boxed and ready once the movers arrived. All that was not properly wrapped was the furniture. The movers were mannerable and polite the whole move, but they were slow for an apartment move. The movers arrived at my apartment around 11:30 am, and we did not leave to drive to the next location until around 4 pm. They did not fully unload my belongings until 6:30 pm. With that being said, I was billed for around 7 hours at the rate of $89.95 an hour. I have moved the majority of the same items at least 3 times before with another moving company and they take 4 hours maximum to move me, which has been a further distance than the current location. I was actually going to go with the initial moving company, but I wanted to try another company. The initial company even offered me a 3 man crew at a rate of $85 and hour (I have an e-mail as proof), but the gentleman that I talked to on the phone about my move was so friendly and open, so I decided to give AAA Moving Solutions a try. In addition to my move taking a long time, I would also like to point out that everything was not moved into the apartment. I had some pictures and a water cooler that was not able to fit on the truck and I had a reclining sofa that they were not able to fit into the door of the apartment. The movers did not have the tools to detach the reclining sofa as well as did not present to me any options to get the sofa in the home. When I asked them what were my options, they told me that I could donate the sofa, which was not an option. With that being said, later on, that day I became resourceful and called Nebraska Furniture Mart to see if they had any ideas. They gave me a few different vendors that know how to properly detach a recliner. So the next day, I had to pay for a vendor to come out to my previous apartment and detach the reclining sofa (which only took him 5 minutes). Then I had to rent a truck and have some friends move my reclining sofa in my apartment. Basically, I had to pay money and was extremely inconvenienced to have something move that they movers should have been able to move. The worse part of all of this is that I paid you all close to $700 to not have ALL of my belongings moved. If the movers did not have options at the time, I should have received a call from a manager, later on, that day or the next day with options. I should not have had to figure it out on my own. You are a moving company, you should know certain things. I should not have to figure out things like that on my own. That's what I pay a moving company for. COMPLETE FRAUDS!!! DO NOT USE AAA MOVING SOLUTIONS! I was giving a quote of 89.99 an hour over the phone and on their flyer and they charged me 376.50 for 2 1/2 hours. I had them move a bed,dresser,sofa,recliner and 4 mattresses. I was charged $45 for a heavy item (reclining sofa). I was charged $33 for insurance. I was charged for a traveling fee which I thought moving required traveling. I'm waiting on Bob to tell me how much that was. And I was told about theses hidden fees after my furniture was loaded and brought to my new apartment. It took them 20 minutes to write out this long receipt. The guys was arguing about the NBA playoffs instead of moving. Very unprofessional. If you use them you will be ripped off. read more

Worst experience with a moving company. The flyer for $89.95 with $10 off you can just throw that away. There is so many extra fees added and I still didn't get my $10 off. Also, with a $125 deposit I didn't not receive a receipt until I had to call and ask for one. I was told to moved a recliner was $25 extra for a heavy item but my receipt had $45. My apartments was next door to the storage and was not told that the 2nd stop was $45. Also there is a fee for $33 green fee and a destination fee. I moved one bed, dresser, 2 sets of Mattresses, couch, recliner and 2 boxes and that was it. In the past I have had more items being moved and paid less. The company should tell you before what fees are being charged on your services. I was rushed off the phone and a email was sent to pay the deposit. My mother & I have separately used this company five times within the last six months. Moving boxes & heavy furniture into storage, just rearranging furniture in the house, moving from Dallas to San Antonio & a local move within the DFW area being the most recent. In all of these instances, the AAA Moving Solutions team have been professional, courteous & friendly. I got their flyer on my apartment door and just on a lark called them up. The manager, Bob couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The actual movers were so professional & considerate. Everything got wrapped up & padded. Very thorough! They were also *considerably* more cost-effective than the last movers I used. The entire bill was explained to me in detail so that I had no lingering questions. I even received a follow-up call from the movers to make sure I was still happy and did not need anything further. Horrible! horrible! horrible! It's 2 1/2 days before my move . I booked this move 1 month ago with Steve. He has not called or called to follow up at all. I was given a flat rate and explained all details for the move. I was told they would start calling one week prior to move NO CALLS at all. I have been trying to reach them all day today and still nothing they have not returned any of my phone calls nothing. This is so unprofessional on all levels of unprofessionalism I'm very disappointed at this company and I would never recommend them to any of my family or friends not even my residents. They have put me in such a bind that now I have to pay extra for another moving company at the last minute. have to rearrange the house keeper to clean. I have to rearrange Carpet Cleaning and pay an extra day in my current apartment because I won't be moved out in time. Horrible! Three hours late! Overcharged! Bedroom furniture chipped and living room table leg cracked! Never again!!!

Although the people who work here are nice, they are not consistent and lack communication. First, I had to call them twice to set up a date for my move. I gave them the deposit but was never give detailed information about the move like if you have additional people who are helping, no one can be on the truck or that they stop unloading halfway through so you can pay them in full and then they will finish unloading your stuff. The manager on the phone said they took checks but the workers said they didn't. We had to go to the bank and they just sat there in the truck wasting time. Let me remind you that they are paid by the hour. A LOT of inconsistency! Was told we can bring boxes to the edge of the truck to help "load" but the moves said no that's not true. I had to call to ask for a receipt and never got one! Their administration is not good. Will never use them again or refer them to anyone. Just get a U-Haul and hire side moves to help load and unload. Wish I would have done that instead of spending over $550 for this company. read more

Signed my contract over a month ago and confirmed several days before and day of the time and date. The day of the move comes and they push back my window from 8-10 to 11-1 and then at 1 they call and say the driver has been ARRESTED and the truck was towed and they are not coming at all. They offer to reschedule for the next morning first thing and since I had to be out and turn in my keys that day I agreed. I had to take the day off of work and I called multiple times that morning to confirm with Jason and with Dispatch that they were in fact on their way that morning and would be there during my 8-10 window. They kept saying "They're on the way- must be traffic" for 2 HOURS! Finally at almost 11 they call and say they AGAIN aren't coming at ALL because the truck has broken down. They offer to try to find someone else who can come that day but NEVER called me back! I had to call 10 other moving companies to try to get someone to come pick up my stuff that afternoon so I could turn my keys in! Worst moving experience ever and no one even apologized. read more
