Two things that you can count on from Starchies is clean clothes and great customer service. I have brought items that I thought were hopeless, and they have gotten every spot and stain out. They will often meet you at the car to get your items from you. Their prices are also very reasonable. I recommend them to people all the time. This is a very nice dry cleaners in the Cedar Hill area. I really enjoyed the fact that as soon as I drove up the attendant came outside to greet me at my car door. He took my clothes and would have rang me up without me ever having to get out of the car except for the fact that this was my first time visiting the establishment. I had to go inside so he could insert my data into their computer program. I guess this is to provide faster drop off and pick up in the future. They had the standard in by 9 AM out by the end of the day same-day service found in most drycleaners. Clothes were ready on time and cleaned very well. The only reason I did not get five stars is because there is not a drive-through, and when I went to pick up my clothes in the afternoon, the attendant did not come to my car door like the morning attendant did. I would foresee this being a problem in the future if I have to bring my child with me or if I was picking up a large amount of clothes. Overall though... No major complaints. read more

I love this dry cleaner. David and his staff are always attentive, and will go the extra mile to get things right. My clothes are a chore to do, and they always get the small things right, which contributes to the big things being done right, as well. Also, their prices are very reasonable. I would pay little attention to people with out of state accounts who try to downgrade his rating and who are too dumb to figure out the dry cleaning arrangement. I have always had great experiences at Starchie's, customer service is top notch. Unfortunately we had a death in the family and needed last minute help to get a suit cleaned to bury a relative in. I went to Starchies around noon and they had already sent their clothes for the day out. I needed the suit by 8:30a the next morning. The owner made several calls and had his team raced my suit to be cleaned. The suit was ready and looked amazing the next morning. Words cannot express our family's appreciation and gratitude. On both occasions I came to drop off my dry cleaning around 7:10am because I wanted to same day service and also wanted had to leave for work. Starchies lost my clothes, an expensive jumpsuit from Dillard's. Never in a million years did I think I would drop my clothes off at a dry cleaning service only for them to come up missing. Either someone stole them or they are just simply irresponsible. I need to be reimbursed for my items, however some clothing hold sentimental value, that can't be replaced. Stay away from these guys. They always had great customer service skills but they just ruined my wife's two favorite shirts. Didn't even care to tell us. Just put a note on one of them saying they tried but couldn't get the stain out. The stain was not even there before! Excellent service!!!! I went in to get some pants altered and before I could get out the car someone was at my car door opening the door for me and carrying my things in. I told them what I needed and I went to the back to try my pants on so they could pin them up for me. I decided to have them press my pants as well. I think I took my items in on a Thursday and they weren't going to be ready until the following Tuesday which was fine. Once my things were ready they rung me up very quick carried my things out to the car and hung them in the back seat. Once I got home I tried my pants on and OMG.....perfect! I don't think they could've been any better and they looked good. Linen is hard but they did an awesome job. I'm not sure if they do an in by 9 out by 5 which is what I prefer, but if not I'll just be sure to plan ahead because I'm not using anyone else for my cleaning/alteration needs! read more

After reading all the great reviews and trying a few other places which were disappointments, I took my husbands work clothes here. I told the young lady at the front that I hadn't been able to find a good dry cleaner and that I was hoping this would be the one. I told her that previous places weren't actually cleaning the shirts and were leaving crushed/broken buttons on the shirts. She assured me everything would be fine. I came back the next day and while I should have checked the shirts there, I brought them home. I unpacked them and noticed that the still smelt exactly like my husband. I investigated a little deeper and not only were the STILL broken buttons, but there were stains, and some shirts were heavy starch, others were medium, and some didn't look like they had been starched at all! I was furious! I brought the clothes back in and let them know what the issues were the young man said the owner was on he way back from the plant (yes that means they don't actual launder onsite, but send the clothes off) and he would let him know. My husbands name is on the account and he called him to apologize, said he will fix everything and expedite the order for the next day, but didn't say a time. I came back in the next day about 4:00pm to pick up and they hadn't come back from the plant yet, and would be after 5:00pm. So much for "expedited." I told my husband and told him he is going to have to drive out their after work to get them. He arrived at 5:15pm and the owner was there personally fixing the buttons that had been broken and was finishing the folding. In the time he was waiting he told me that they gave the wrong wedding dress to a customer who luckily noticed in the parking lot and brought it right back in and couldn't find other customers items. My husband waited 30+ minutes and the owner STILL wasn't done with the 8 shirts. My husband was even more furious then me at this point and just said just give them all to me and I will fix them myself! Lets just politely say that we will never be going back and I highly recommend that you don't waste your time!! This was the WORST dry cleaning experience I have ever had! read more
