I have been a Member for yours. In the last 24hrs, I've received less than 5 star service. My husband's battery died. He was going to get a new battery from an auto part store or Walmart. I suggested he call AAA since they offer new battery service. He called and the representative dispatched a driver out, normal roadside assistance service, but when my husband asked how much the battery would cost, the rep told him to go online and check himself because he wasn't allowed to quote over the phone. He couldn't find the information online so he called, another rep told him he had to download the app and sign in, but she also couldn't look it up for him. It made me think, how would an elder person in need of the same service easily get this information, as many elderly aren't comfortable with technology. Then today I had to take my 2 small kids to take passport pictures. I was told I had to stand in the DMV/Member Service line, which was one in the same. There were about 6 people add of me, all with DMV needs. Each DMV transaction took min 10-15mins. I simply needed to pay the $9 passport picture fee. My transaction took less than 3mins to process, but I had to wait over 20mins to do it. As I stood in line I saw workers on their cell phones, some just walking around not assisting members, and one just sitting at the door waiting for someone to walk in. I am extremely disappointed with the current service we recieved, will be making a formal complaint and will be cancelling my membership. Two incidents in a 24hr period is not ok. read more

I call the 800 number for emergency road services. I am a plus member and it took them 4+ hours to arrived. When u buy aaa insurance u are require to buy the road services. Since they got your money they just slim the workforce. They keep on calling and saying sorry and will be there in 30 min. read more

Do not use AAA or the Dublin, CA location thinking you will utilize your membership in lieu of DMV services! You will be hassled to no end. Counter persons and alleged "managers" think and purport to be legal experts and attorneys. They surmise a CA title matter is a "federal" matter for one. They cannot read a legal document. They cannot read a title pink slip. They infer. Just do your job. They are worried about being audited by the CA DMV. What you get is a time waste. 4X in for same form. I've done this for 35 years without an incident ever before. Power trip, just like our state employees. read more

Went in with two goals about my dmv paperwork. After telling me that it would be no problem to do the two things that needed done I was informed that I would have to take all my paperwork to DMV to get it done. Came there earlier today to register a vessel. Stood in like for about 20 minutes and was called next by an older African American lady she asked for my membership card but explained why I didn't have my membership card but had my ID. She asked for my number and I gave it to her, She takes a look at the paper work and ask who is this person to me, I replied that he was my husband. She told me she couldn't register the vessel because my husband wasn't there since it's being register under his name. I told her I have register 2 cars under his name without him here before at this location and she said they aren't allowed too and when did I register the cars last time? I said 2 years ago and she said we stopped doing it 5 years ago. So that doesn't explain why I was able to do it last time. Plus the address on the pink slip was the same address on my ID but it's just under my husband name. read more

I am so happy I have AAA because I can get most of the DMV work done there! My former husband recently bought our son an old car and then he decided that it would be under my name. He just gave me this pile of paperwork without any explanation of what to do. I was hopeful AAA could sort it out. The agent at the Dublin office is so friendly and understanding and made the transaction so simple. I don't understand what's going on with AAA roadside assistance. I called one evening for them as my car's fuel pump stopped working. They told me "no longer than 45 min". An hour later, and already dark, I asked where the tow was, and was told "another 45 min". Again the time passed, and was told they would be there in five minutes. No one showed. Finally a tow called and said he was on his way. THREE HOURS AFTER MY INITIAL CALL, the tow finally showed. He was also not provided any of the details by AAA about my car and where I was. On further inquiry, he said he gets a lot of calls from AAA insured people waiting three hours. I'm in a major metro area, and there are plenty of tows. I called one guy who said he could come over, but of course I would have to pay. AAA's had no explanation other to say it was "unusual", and they are 'non- profit". However, this is no excuse for when its late at night and alone. If it was my wife I would have been concerned. On another occasion last year I had to wait two hours, again in a major metro area. 5/24/15 update - Despite a follow-up communication from AAA, not much has happened and I see they have let down other people in the past 12 months as well. Of course I realize there are probably many satisfied customers, but my experience was poor. read more

Not sure why this place is getting bad reviews? I've been going to this AAA office for years and have no issues. My agent, Vincent Ledara is awesome. Always calls me back the same day and handles all my insurance issues promptly. The DMV service is great too. Except for one technician who was rude but no longer works there. My wife uses the travel services too on almost all of our family trip planning. For RV owners... They insure those too!! read more

I recently had a complicated DMV transfer of ownership when I purchased a used vehicle. The staff at the DMV window was not only amazingly pleasurable to deal with, they were knowledgeable of the needed paperwork and forms. I am a Premier Member which cost about a $129 a year, I would pay three times that amount just to continue to deal with their professional staff. I could give the individuals name who helped me this time but that would not be fair because all previous contacts with staff have been pleasurable. Very bad office don't go there very slow all they care about just to add anther personal to your members

I rarely deal with anyone in person, but I do have to say every time I call in for something, they are nothing but amazing! The past two days I have been contacting for just basic renewal and updates, and Sheena and Zach Bates have been so great! So today I gave them a call to make sure they still are doing passport photos and specifically if they can do them to Canadian passport photo specifications. (They did my American ones and they were passable.) Yes, they said, we can do them. BUT, they said, the last 5 customers who had them done had them rejected. Okaaay. So to me, that answer should have been more like "No, we can't do them." Just a word of warning to any others needing their Canadian passport photos taken at this particular office. I've used AAA offices in both Texas and Massachusetts for them, but clearly this office can't figure it out. read more

I'm comparing to the service I have received at other AAA offices. Terrible front desk service. I needed an International Drivers Permit, which seemed like an inconvenience. After I received it, I went back to the front desk to get a couple maps. Stood around for a long time so I got them out of the cabinet myself and left. read more

AAA recently advertised that they have notary services. We scheduled an appointment to have documents signed and it was a pretty disappointing experience. They appear to be new to this service and didn't understand what documents we wanted signed. Went to a really notary and there was no problem. Please don't advertise a service if you don't have the experience and training to actually offer it. read more

Had representative Alan help us with purchasing tickets at the Dublin branch. It seemed that we were a inconvenience to him as he huffed and puffed about the questions we had. When we needed more than they allowed he had to ask a supervisor for authorization, because of this he rolled his eyes and made the hand motion that suggested him shooting himself. The system was also very slow which caused him to become very irritated. Terrible customer service. read more

I have been a Member for over 30 years and this branch is the WORST That AAA has to offer in my experiences.The people there are rude, could care less about you and are not that helpful. If you need AAA services go to the office in San Ramon. They are MUCH!! nicer, friendly and courteous. As far as the rest of CSAA services go as a company, especially the Road Service, Insurance,Travel and Maps, they are wonderful. read more

I have been a member for 45 years and I purchased a membership for a friend recently only to find he never received it. When I tried to get things resolved, they found the membership but were not willing to change or extend the membership for the lost 4 months. I also purchased a new vehicle and notified them right away but after two phone calls, one office visit and waiting a month I have never received any documents proving I have coverage. Tell that to the cop who asks for proof of insurance. Poor, poor customer service. read more
