Due to my belongings being exposed to the water for 3-4 months I now have significant contamination to my belongings! I paid my storage unit on time and most of the time I paid my storage bill early! I am devastated! I am disabled and now I am going expected to lift every tote/box and itemize each item! It's not a surprise that is going to be a lot of work for me! I have recently have suffered two heart attacks so on top of my already horrific health issues this is a nightmare! Had the managers notified me that there had been severely units flooded months ago near mine the damage to mine could have been avoided! Beware before using this storage facility!

So good communication from everyone about rental status and I appreciate that. Move-in day was easier than I expected - I downloaded the app and could open the overhead access door remotely. That worked nicely and is convenient to pull my car right in. I found the unit to be reasonably clean and the motion sensing automatic light inside the unit is bright enough to see everything as I got organized and locked up. University Storage aka Absolute Storage in Lawrence, KS disabled the gates for a weekend without…read moreinforming customers or making management available. Later they claimed it was due to their "System Updating" and customer be damned. Tough luck if you drove out to your locker that weekend and could not get in. If the electronic entry was out for a weekend of updates, why not inform customers about the inconvenience before it happens? Lie? No electricity, a broken down entry system, deteriorating security cameras, and negligent maintenance make me wonder why Managers come and go frequently.

Enter the storage scam also known as University Storage. When you only need a month and a day to bridge the gap, this money maker makes you pay for 2 full months.
