We called him to take a look at our entire yard - clean up fallen debris, trimming most everything, removing many plants and adding others. We also wanted our leaking sprinklers fixed and all the weeds removed. We agreed to have him do the job, since it was $1600 less than a different large business. He said he would do all the work right then and there. Immediately, a co-worker showed up with all the tools needed and they got down to hard work. OUR ENTIRE YARD LOOKS FABULOUS! Gotta respect the hustle! My husband is happy he did not have to spend several weekends on our yard. We will only use Pacheco Landscaping from now on. 10 stars!

We had a very positive experience with Sonoran Landscape Design. Their landscape design abilities…read morewere amazing, and they were very cooperative in understanding our vision for outdoor living. The team brought a lot of creativity to the project, offered fair pricing, and ultimately delivered a beautiful, high-quality finished product. The project did take longer than originally estimated, largely due to issues with the paver supplier that required all of the pavers to be redone. To Sonoran's credit, they took responsibility for the issue and made sure it was corrected properly, although it did extend the timeline significantly. We also encountered some issues with the city planning and permitting process that required more of our personal involvement than expected. While Sonoran is clearly one of the most creative and talented landscape companies out there, they would benefit from having a stronger project management system or dedicated project management team to help streamline communication and timelines. Overall, we would definitely recommend Sonoran Landscape Design. The finished product is wonderful, and their creativity and craftsmanship truly stand out.

Earthtones was recommended to us by a neighbor but it appears we've had very different experiences. Steve was nearly two hours late to our scheduled appointment. We work from home and are flexible on time so a postponement wasn't an issue but it was a harbinger of how things would go from there. Steve sent a crew the following Saturday. They worked for several hours in the front yard and then left without a word. We waited a few days to see if they would come back to finish. They did not. My husband contacted Steve about the remaining work and Steve sent a crew out again. This time, they finished the work. No one ever completed the irrigation audit. Because of the lack of communication and continuous need for follow-up, we have terminated our relationship with Earthtones. I will note that the crews did fine work but ultimately, I need a company that is reliable and communicative.

We did a walkthrough with one of the owners, and received a quote that we found reasonable. Six weeks later, they canceled our service out of nowhere because "our property is too large" for the crew. First of all, their two man crew was typically in and out in 20-30 minutes. Secondly, they never even notified us of their cancellation, they just didn't show up and let me know when I questioned why they never came. Thirdly, why would you provide us with a proposal after seeing the property if it is something you can't handle? It was a disappointing experience with them. They promised a lot, and then failed to deliver. I would look elsewhere.

Swimming Pool and Outdoor Renovation Experience Decision to…read moreUpgrade Our Outdoor Space After more than two decades of use, we realized it was time to update our swimming pool. This decision also made it clear that our landscaping and patio area, which were just as old, needed an upgrade as well. At first, we had no idea where to begin with such a large project. Finding Inspiration and Choosing a Contractor During the summer, we noticed that our neighbors were having some outdoor work done. Curious, I took note of the name on the vehicles parked at their house. This led me to reach out to Lone Star Landscaping through their website one Sunday, leaving our contact information. Initial Contact and Planning Chris from Lone Star Landscaping called me the very next day. He was very informative, asking about our goals for the project and bringing up important questions that I had not even considered. During our phone conversation, Chris provided basic estimates for the various items we wanted to address. Once we confirmed that we were aligned in our vision, we scheduled an appointment to meet onsite and review our goals in detail. Onsite Consultation and Material Selection My husband and I spent significant time meeting with Chris, touring both our front and back outdoor areas, and sharing our vision for the renovation. Chris offered valuable suggestions throughout our conversation, demonstrating the depth of his experience in this field. We quickly realized the importance of working with someone who truly understands the nuances of outdoor design. After we reached an agreement on the project details, Chris provided us with samples of the various pavers, tiles, and travertine options. This allowed us to see how the materials would look in the natural light of our own backyard before making a final decision. Watching the Transformation Once we had selected our materials and gave the go-ahead, the work began. It was truly a joy to watch Chris's team bring our project to life. The Renovation Process and Results Chris and his team displayed exceptional skill throughout the renovation. We decided to replace our backyard patio area with beautiful travertine and add a few new spaces for the barbecue and around the pool equipment. My personal goal was to have a surface so smooth and comfortable that I could walk the entire area barefoot. Watching the travertine being installed was a fascinating experience, as we could see the design gradually taking shape. The finished result is absolutely stunning. Even during the renovation, neighbors walking by would frequently comment on how impressive the transformation looked. Enjoying the Results and Looking Forward The outcome of our backyard renovation has exceeded all expectations. We spend a great deal of time outdoors, and since the project was finished, my husband and I have often remarked on how remarkable the work is. Chris's craftsmanship and attention to detail delivered results that were even better than we had envisioned. We were so impressed with the transformation that we decided to entrust Chris with our front yard remodel as well. We are excited to see how that project will turn out. If you value experience, quality, and honest professionalism, Lone Star Landscaping is an excellent choice. We would gladly recommend them to anyone considering a landscaping project.
