Cesar, the Project Manager, came out on both install days and again at the end to walk it with us. Israel led the crew and checked in with me throughout -- he actually spotted a sprinkler leak before any work started. They leveled the soil first, so the grade came out smooth and even. Two things stood out. They left us a spare patch of turf in case we ever need to repair a section. And the cleanup was immaculate -- you genuinely could not tell there'd been a crew tearing up the yard that morning. Communication was the best part. Great company from start to finish! I waited to post this review to make sure they didn't disappear after the job was done like some companies do, was happy they kept to their word. I gotta give a large amount of the praise to Jackson, he was super communicative from the start, even when running late, which we appreciated. He gave a great pitch, showed great samples and example of how the turf drains (again which most companies don't show). We signed that night. He literally told us to call him anytime for anything, and we did. If we had a question he got back to us so fast and assured us it would be take care of. He wasn't just saying that, they really do mean what they say. We were quickly able to get scheduled for install. The workers were also top notch, super friendly and hard working, they did an excellent job around corners I thought would be tough. We did have a small seam issue after a big rain where it was starting to be much more visible. We called Jackson and again, he responded so fast and got it taken care of, the crew came back out no problem and tightened it up for us. Overall, yes, these guys are more on the expensive side, but honestly the turf quality and customer service even after install is some of the best I've experienced from any contractor. I was about to throw out my file on this, but felt I needed to warn others before. Bottom line, deal with a local company, not a management-heavy, worker-light California company. From the saleman who was a 'slick Willy', to the barely out of high school project manager; who disappeared and then demanded I respect him when I got upset, to the lead installer who did not give the crew good instructions, to the non-English speaking installers who wanted to 'patch' their mistake - AWFUL. When I pointed out to the project manager that they had dislodged over 20 rocks from my garden edging, he said he'd tell management. Big bully turf was a nightmare, the crew working on my yard didn't communicate at all with the man who was the 1 I was dealing with. They deliberately killed my sprinkler system by cutting the wires instead of removing the wire nuts. They cut the wires controlling the sprinklers in the back yard. They were supposed to cap the sprinkler line in the front because thats where the turf was putt down. They didn't, water was coming up through the blocks on the front patio. My complaints fell on deaf ears. Big bully said they would fix the sprinkler system if i took the bad review down. I won't. Big bully knew for over 1 month that a repair job by 1 of there giys caused me to get a $400 water bill for 1 month because water was coming out 24 hrs a day ,7 days a week. I complained to BBB , but they are no help. Big bully said they sent crews several times to repair everything. A big fat lie!!! They had my phone number, nobody called to say that a crew wes coming to repair everything, I lock the gates to the back yard because I 3 big dogs and a pool. For everyone's safety the gates to back yard are locked. It has been a nightmare working with big bully. For the $35,000 plus that they charged for my front yard to get turf, you would think that they would fix everything they broke. I had to pay the $400 water bill, and $275 to have a sprinkler company come fix the back sprinklers. Big bully lied repeatedly to me , damaged my property, the work is shoddy at best, I see seams everywhere. And its not even a year old. Don't waste your money or time. BUYER BEWARE Our project started out later than expected (partly due to HOA approval) but we were told it would take a week to complete. The first day the "crew" showed up on time and started to unload the truck Our salesman showed up and so did the "project manager " ( a young man with 6 months of experience) They walked the project told us we could contact them if we had any questions or concerns and that's the last we saw or heard from them The pavers were delivered that morning (13 pallets) and we thought were on or way ....... Until We discovered the crew was installing the wrong pattern AND the WROUNG COLOR of pavers We were advised by the local office official that THEY made the determination that the color that was shipped was close enough to what we had selected so it should be fine We rejected this because it was NOT WHAT WE WANTED and didn't match the color of our house We were then told they would have to locate the correct pavers and could take up to a week to be delivered. In the mean time the incorrect pavers sat on pallets in our front yard for over 2 weeks while & how theydecided to return them and had the audacity to tell US we were going to have to pay to return the incorrect pavers While we think the installers did a nice job the job continued for over 2 weeks and we feel like they were getting pressure from management to hurry up and finish the job even as to entering our property when told we would not be home . That was totally unacceptable and unprofessional We received a call from Chelsea asking if the job was complete totally ignoring the review I submitted all she wanted was the $$$$$$$ read more

Extremely disappointed with BBT's customer service. When I reached out they refused to give any sort of estimate without sending someone to my house - this should've been enough of a red flag. I discussed getting a quote and was VERY clear multiple times about my budget and not wanting to waste anyone's time. I gave specific measurements, paver type, turf type, etc --- and they assured me they were in the $4.25/sf price range installed for my project. I arranged my entire day around their visit to confirm and imagine my surprise when they quoted me $18/sf!! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS and a complete waste of everyone's time. Big Bully definitely had a much better setup with the mesh bottom for maximum draining efficiency. I told him about how we plan to have a dog run on the side of the house, so the dogs aren't always using the turf. When they laid everything out they had additional of their specialized sand that they put on the dog run side without even asking. Rich also offered to have his team finish the paver boarder around the edges of the turf and they were able to get that done as well. The guys did a great job and had it done quickly. Appreciate how everything was done smoothly. Absolutely happy with how everything turned out. Big Bully Turf August 23, 2025 We had our turf installation done in July, but I wanted to wait until we had it in use before I wrote an endorsement for it. The sales process with Scott was great and once we committed he kept us informed regarding the installation timeline. The installation had a very minor issue which was remedied very quickly to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the turf that was installed around our pool and our dog area. We have 6 dogs and they are on it multiple times daily with no detrimental effects. Did we make the right decision to have Big Bully Turf installed in our yard? ABSOLUTELY. We had black based turf in areas prior to the Big Bully Turf being installed and Big BullyTurf is dramatically cooler.
