Set among the Smith Rock State Park and monkey face rock sits this impressive ranch/development. It's a private gated community that boasts gorgeous views of Oregon's high desert combined with magnificent Tuscan style homes. The scenery here is one of a kind and it only got better as the sun began to set, colors changing and shadows enhancing the views and landscape. The wedding was held outside at "the stables", a rustic looking building with a small fountain out front and endless views of amazing, pristine natural beauty. I really enjoyed the architecture that's subtly dotted through out the community. The lot sizes are spacious and each home is so unique...no cookie cutter track homes here, lol! As if that weren't enough, there's plenty of ponds, lakes and rivers to fish... My dad pulled 14 fish in less than and hour w my kids! Needles to say they had a blast, EPIC! There's endless trails to hike in the area, both by foot or by horse. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this was an amazingly special locale. Rachel and her family were there every step of the way- no detail was too small. On the night of our rehearsal, my dress broke. Her husband scavenged the property for 30 minutes to find the safety pins and rig me back together! Our friends never stop talking about this adult camp. It was such a fun way to spend time together. The property is stunning and our pictures look like they're from a magazine. They have great relationships with all the vendors which really helped smooth out the planning. And they always let you come back to say hi and revisit the property. I couldn't recommend a place more. We will certainly be back to visit and rent the cabins for our anniversaries!

I have not been to the pumpkin patch, so I can't speak to that. My relationship with DD Ranch has been as a buyer of grass fed local meats. I have been purchasing from them directly on their website and found them to be very responsive and professional. I picked them after I went to Locavore and tried a steak from every grass fed vendor to figure out where we wanted to buy our meats. I think their beef is delicious and well packaged in butcher paper for the freezer. I'm so happy they are available for our area and will continue to support them and their family for a wonderful product and excellent customer service. Thank you!

Because of the amazingly beautiful weather, we were able to have the actual ceremony outside on the shores of the lake - however, even if it had been rainy it would have been lovely to have the wedding indoors in the delightful space. It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Aspen Hall was built specifically for weddings. It is a hall that would seat about 150 people fairly comfortably. It has an industrial kitchen and is surrounded on one side by a spacious porch with plenty of tables for sitting, mingling, and hangin'. There was plenty of parking for a smallish wedding but for a larger wedding you might want to consider alternatives. I highly recommend this space to anyone looking for event/wedding space in Bend.

I saw some people mentioned outdated cabins in their reviews but I dont get why? Theyre historic and retro design but meticulously maintained and clean. Someone clearly knows a lot about design because it feels like youre staying in an art piece that perfectly compliments the gorgeous forests and river outside. All the staff we ran into was so nice and helpful and they all work really hard to make it a great experience for people to enjoy. Honestly too, the wedding amenities looked AMAZING. If youre going to celebrate your love anywhere in nature, this should be the place. I bought a hat with a freakin Loloma lodge name on it! Who does that?! I did because this place was magical.
