Great hospitality from the owners and employees who work here. Everyone I encountered in the park was friendly, many of which were repeat visitors who come and stay the summer. The bathrooms are clean and AIR CONDITIONED! I don't have AC in my camper and I went to Oregon in the week it was almost 100º and it was rough... going to the bathroom and showering was pure delight. As the park is named, there are in fact big pines. Not all spots are shaded, but there's enough shade around. The park was recently expanded so there are plenty more slots and a higher likelihood you can get a reservation. Crater is about a 45 min drive, but my favorite day-trip from staying here was going to Crystal Lake. It's a beautiful blue lake that has a beach, and seems like a hidden gem not many people know about. read more

Very cute, quiet, and shady RV park, the staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of amenities like dog park, laundry, bath house.

People are super nice. The spots are not on top of each other so that's OK too. However, I picked this location because I still work from home (on wheels) and they boast about their Internet and Wi-Fi. Come to find out you get a code and you're allowed to send text messages and check your email but if you want to do anything other than that, stream or tablets, etc., you have to purchase that for each individual device per day.... It just would've been nice for them to share that instead of saying that Wi-Fi was included, which I guess it is, technically, but it's kind of a bait and switch in my opinion... thank gosh I have Starlink, but needed the convenience of just "plug-in play" for a one night stay. Had I known I would've gone down the road just a bit further. If you don't need Internet, then this is a great place for you!! read more

We have visited this RV Park several times over the years and each time it just gets better! It's in the perfect spot between crater Lake and Paulina Lake. It is also close to Salt Lake Falls. The owner's name is Bruce and he's outstanding! His son is a super nice guy and very funny as well. We had a pretty funny visit one day in the office! I made them some banana nut bread and they were happy to receive it. The one thing I can say about this RV park is we greatly appreciate all the final touches they put into it. Easy check-in but be sure and pull all the way in by the office. They like to keep the entry cleared by the highway. Clean park with very nice new bathrooms and showers. Mosquitoes are very thick during the summer so come prepared for that. If you want higher speed internet the fee is $2 a day. We stayed here after looking at other parks in La Pine and Bend. This place is absolutely gorgeous with the trees and the space between the sites. They have OHV trails or mountain bike trails (forest service roads) right from the camp. The hosts were very friendly and they kept the camp clean. Would highly recommend. read more

This RV park was conveniently located just an hour north of remote Crater Lake National Park! We were warmly welcomed for our 2-night stay and our RV site was long and level. We had truck problems and needed to get our vehicle to the mechanic. We were able to drop our RV and stay a couple nights. Warm showers, clean bathrooms, quiet campground. Easy location right off the highway. They also have a tent area.

Very nice park!!! Almost every spur is an easy pull through with pine trees everywhere. The office leads you into your spot which is very helpful here, the sites are not all lined up in rows.(except for the new area). Plenty of trash cans through out the park. Water pressure is good. The off road "toy" area is a nice walking trail also. read more

Park staff were kind. Nice and quaint campground. We stopped here on our way from Boise to Jedidiah Smith Campground. We left around 5 after arrival for a quick 3 hour tour of Crater Lake. We would stay here again. read more

Very nice campground! Clean, with trees and paths. Management very friendly and helpful. Lots of trees and shade. We drove through three "RV parks" looking for somewhere to spend the night. They were all open lots with burnt grass or just gravel. We decided to drive another few miles in hopes of finding something passable when we stumbled on this park. I'm still new to Yelp, so of course I checked it out once we were already here, but the reviews here are accurate. If your on 97, drive a few extra miles or stop a bit sooner for this park. It is well worth it! The next passable RV park is in Sisters Oregon. read more

Big Pines RV Park is a jewel! We felt we were in remote woods, but had amenities. WIFI is great. The treed sites are spacious. This park is exceptionally clean. The whole experience was enhanced by the hospitality of the owners, Bruce and Donna. Crater Lake is a 50 mile drive to the North entrance. The SaltCreek Falls is another awesome site to see. The park was nice and clean. The tent camping spots where a little tight but there was no one next to us. The bathrooms where clean and I didn't have to worry about using quarters like other campgrounds I've stayed at before. Unfortunately there is a busy road and the trucks didn't stop driving all night and it was very loud but that's nothing ear plugs can't solve. Over all nice place and nice staff. read more

NO EMPATHY! I understand the in place "policy" of no refunds due to short notice cancellations. HOWEVER, a true emergency should be considered. Our motor home broke down on Willamette Mountain, close to the ski resort. We were stranded for 7 hours, had to spend the night in Bend until arrangements were made to have the motor home towed to Madras, OR. It has been over a week now, and our unit is still not back in Idaho. I called this park to cancel and explain, while on the side of Highway 58, blocking a lane of traffic, they didn't care. I'm sure they were able to let someone else have our site, especially during this high volume season. The $41.39 lose isn't the point, they should practice what they preach! One of the best RV parks we have stayed. Owners are friendly and accommodating. He made sure that no tree limbs touched the slide outs and even cut limbs that might. Very clean and spacious sites with green turf for each site. Highly recommend this park. read more

Staying one night on the way to our destination. Beautiful forest all around us. Checkin, shower house, restrooms all wood buildings that were perfect for the forest. Facilities were some of the nicest we have ever seen. Grass between sites and sites far enough from each other to give privacy. Manager very friendly and helpful showed us to our site. Our truck broke down ! Stranded we needed help during the busy travel season.. We were towed to Big Pines RV Park. For the past ten (10) days we've been in our Airstream while the truck underwent repairs in Bend. Much to our surprise & delight this RV parked turned out to be a GEM! Bruce & Donna host & run this park extremely well and we lacked for nothing. All level pull through sites, most with full hookup. Clean restroom showers etc. We will stay here again whenever we are in this ares. I don't review nor recommend often but this one is definitely a keeper. Lovely park with exceptional owners! We stayed in October 2018 for two nights and would have stayed longer if we didn't have a previous commitment. We had just started towing a small teardrop camper with our truck camper and we were having problems with our tow chains. The owners were quick to help and by the next day, we were all set due to their assistance. I can't tell you how helpful they were and how much their help made our trip so much better. Beautiful spot, beautiful drive, close to anything you need (we visited the small town of La Pine) and sweet, refreshing water. We'll definitely be back. read more

Amazing park! This park has the feel of a state or national park plus your own large grassy yard, full hook ups, and a laundromat. It is clean, the staff is helpful and very friendly. It's an hour away to many attractions such as Crater Lake, Lava Lands and the city of Bend. No crowds, no touristy feel. Some one has put a lot of energy into the yard art which I really enjoyed while walking the dog. We will come here again! read more

This is a great RV Park! Right on Hwy 97 in Crescent, OR. The setting is lovely with lots of pine trees for shade. The spaces are NOT all cram packed together and have nice grassy areas. We are staying here for two weeks, end of June, beginning of July 2016. The hosts Bruce and Donna are great and take pride in their Park. Since our stay is over the July 4th weekend and there are lots of travelers on the road, there is a bit of road noise, but we solve that at night by running a small fan for "white" noise and it works just fine. The spaces have full hook-ups and can accommodate most types of rigs. We will be staying here again when we start traveling back home in August. Would recommend this park to anyone. read more

This is a diamond in the rough RV park location. Went on the good Sams and spotted this beautiful RV park nestled in the redwoods. This is a must stop location if you are in the area. The owner, Bruce goes above and beyond what customer service is. He socializes with everyone that comes and goes and is great. Well maintained park. Great showers and restrooms. Helpful staff. Very good value. Hiking / Biking trail The new sites at this location are still awaiting sewer connection, ( will be completed soon ) and these sites are very good size. I stayed in the new sites for a week, but moved into one of the sites with sewer before I traveled on - so I could empty my tanks. I enjoyed staying here. We saw this place on our way to Washington and decided to spend the night on our way back home. This is a little gem!! Yes, it's gravel, but it's clean, spaces are large, they have WiFi, cable, good water pressure, 50amp, and sewer hookups. Easy to navigate through too!! We stayed in the old section (half the park) hooked to old utilility boxes resulting in failure to A/C, electric, & refrigerator. The power is insufficient for 30 Amp needs. A maintenance man stated the utilities need new breaker, common to old section. The new section appears stripped of "big pines" exposing RV's to summer sun. We would gladly have stayed in nearby Crescent town RV, not yet open, when the owner advised us, after not answering our call for 4 hours , we could leave (eve of july 4th) if we wanted a refund. Other than these problems, facility adequate. read more

Great, clean and friendly campground. We were surprised by how clean this place is! We used the laundromat here which is an added bonus! Little fire pits, and full hookups! We stayed here two nights, and have been thankful for the dog area, the clean campsite, the price and the people who surround us! We will be back! read more

This is one of the nicer places in the area, but is very dusty do to vehicles passing your camp site. The park only has sewer hook up for most of there long term customers in most of the shaded sites and it is extremely hard to get a sewer site, they are currently adding additional sewer site but are not available at this time. There are portable restrooms available in the newer section of the park but aren't cleaned daily. read more

Very peaceful campground. The owner was extremely nice. He personally led us to our spot. We had a nice big site that we shared with friends. He came by at night to say how happy he was that we were having a campfire and genuinely was happy to see us enjoying the camping experience. We have stayed at this park many times and happy that they are expanding! It is always clean and quiet, lots of grassy areas, especially in the older section of the park. The newer section is coming along nicely, too. The staff are always very courteous and helpful. At my last minute request, Bob changed our site to a site with more shade, as it was a really warm day.
