This campground is spectacular and far enough away from the crowds that you really feel like you are getting away from everything. This is the only campground/resort on Lake Lemolo so the lake is not overcrowded or noisy. The lake is pristine and the fishing is excellent for rainbow trout and brown trout. A short hike in any direction puts you completely in the wilderness. The facilities here are spotless and the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The small store is well stocked with various items from food to souvenirs. This campground is very family-friendly and was very quiet at night. Rented one of their boats to take out on the lake and it worked well and was reasonably priced. I will definitely be back!

For my birthday my girlfriend had the great idea of climbing Mount Thielsen, so we wanted to stay somewhere relatively close by. We called last minute from Roseburg and the lady on the phone told us our cabin/room number and told us to come pay in the morning. I thought that was pretty cool. The room was on the top floor of an A-frame cabin, so it was a fairly confined space. It had a microwave, mini-fridge and a bathroom with shower. The room was clean and the bed had lots of warm blankets which were needed. Overall it's a good place to stay if you're not looking for anything fancy. Also check out their breakfast, it was slow, but good fuel for climbing a mountain.

Very nice, needs some basic maintenance and updating. Staff was terrific! No jet skis! Restaurant closed so if worlds greatest burger is on list forget it. Boats are a bit tired but very charming. I will go back, but do all my shopping in town before I get there. All and all the cabins are a skip back in time. Have fun. Oh tent camping is cramped unless you get one of the three lakeside spots.

Of course the lake is beautiful, pristine and loaded with gratuitous amounts of big, fat, beautiful Brown and Rainbow trout.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying our first week in the Maple House. We…read morepreviously lived 9-miles away for several years and found out about River Vista from out-of-town friends who would stay there while visiting. It is a rustic setting with ALL the comforts of home. The view from the deck cantilevered over the North Umpqua River can be found on post cards. There is a path leading directly below the cabins to a private sparkling clear swimming/fishing hole. Bring your goggles to see salmon and steelhead if you are swimming. Bring your fishing pole if you want to catch your dinner. If you forgot something or need groceries, the Idleyld Trading Post Deli & Liquor Store is 200 feet from your cabin door. The short driveway down to the cabins is steep. Most folks first look at it before driving down to the cabins. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

After driving for 4 hours, then heading finally to our destination, the "Madrone" house. The name…read morerepresents the madrone trees that are all over this area. The road was hot and dry so entering this home and coming immediately face to face with the Umpqua river directly outside the cabin was a wonderful beginning. We grabbed our stuff out of the car and then beer for the hubby, wine for me, and headed out to the deck. We spent a good amount of time over the days just chilling at that spot. The cabin (house) itself has all the amenities you need. It's got a rustic feel to it that Randy (the owner) then adds little luxuries to, such as robes, fluffy towels, soft sheets, bottle of wine, and even chocolates by your bedside. The bed is comfy, the place is quiet, the kitchen is stocked, and there's even a gas grill should you want to barbeque on the deck. The location has a restaurant 3 miles away which serves awesome meals even though you are in a tiny town. You are near highway 138 so you can head to all the waterfalls surrounding the area and take a hike. We went to Deadline Falls (5 miles from the house) and watched the steelhead jumping. There are eagles and other birds of prey hanging around. Crater Lake is about 70 miles one way. It's truly a lovely place to go on vacation. NOTE: No wifi and no cell service in the house. There are places close by that you can get these services but to me it would have been an intrusion.

Steve came out and met us in the back yard with a cute couple of pups, and our dog had such a good time playing that I think he thought it was the best vacation ever. I laughed so hard watching them play, I wished I had caught it on film because it was so funny. The house is an easy walk to Downtown Bend. It's off in a neighborhood, so you feel like you're getting a real feel for what it is like to live in the area. There were two bathrooms, one with a claw foot tub, and I had an excellent bath. The other bath had an amazing walk in shower. I fell in love with the creative, and thoughtful design of the spaces and Steve was generous with his time and showed me another space in the triplex. Such creative design, it was just fun to hang out in the house. Bend is surrounded by incredible natural beauty, so we went hiking every day. The hot tub at the end of the day was perfect. The kitchen is set up fully so, it would be easy to cook though we didn't since Bend is filled with great restaurants. Both Alex and Steve are great hosts. This place is amazing and I would highly recommend choosing to stay at one of the Enchanted Dwellings, I know we will be back on our next trip to Bend.
