This cabin was perfect. For $80 and a five minute drive to cowboy dinner tree you can't beat it. Very quiet with a beautiful view of the sky and shooting stars. The cabin was clean, very cutely decorated, full kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, stove top, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster.) coffee if provided but I definitely recommend bringing your own grounds, as folgers is better than the brand they provide. Cash or check are the only payment they accept, so come prepared for that. The bed is firm, lots of closet space. Linens are provided for the futon and bathroom. There is a shower with a tub (which looks a bit dingy), but hey, it is a shower which is better than camping out there! We will definitely be back there. We love this area and with having two kids now it's great to know there is a quiet place that can hold us all.

We have wanted to go to the Cowboy Dinner Tree for years but driving from Medford to Silver Lake and back home in one day was too much. I learned about this wonderful little cabin from the hostess at the Cowboy Dinner Tree when I called to inquire about their cabin. It was completely booked so she told me to call Butch. I am so glad I did!! I was able to make a reservation for the night and reserve the CDT too!! This cabin is perfect!! Small, but has all the amenities you need and very clean too! We enjoyed relaxing a bit before our dinner reservation and then the 10 minute drive back to the cabin after dinner was perfect!! We didn't get to meet Butch, but he told me to just leave the cash on the counter when we left. We feel it was well worth $80!! We will definitely tell our friends about the cabin, and hope to come back again in the future!!

There are three tubs and an indoor pool (which was closed for the winter). The windows in the changing rooms caught me by surprise. I didn't even notice them until I made eye contact with people outside. I quickly put my suit on and proceeded outside to see their naked bodies getting into the tubs. So I feel like we're even. The little on-site store has all kinds of cool things including little vials of bentonite clay, which is amazing for mosquito bites. There were no bugs of any kind during my visit- but now I am prepared! I spent more money in the store than I did for my camping spot/soak. Highly recommend!!

We didn't know that till after booking. We won't be back sadly there is better cheaper options closer to home.

The furniture is very nice, the bed was very comfortable, the electric fire place kept us warm through the night and we loved the rustic feel of the entire place. Even the bathroom is nicely updated and spacious with a great shower. The lodge sits in a nice neighborhood a little off the beaten path. Town is a quick drive away if you need to stock up on anything, find a restaurant, or stores. There is a small fridge available in the rooms. There is a common area with a hot tub and a grill that can be used but we didn't check out that area so I can't give it any rating with my review. The owners of the lodge also have the MotoFantasy business at this location if you'd like to rent a motorcycle to tour around on. We got a chance to look at some of the bikes, and chat with one of the owners, but didn't have time on our trip to rent a bike. Our only complaint was how loud the noise is from others staying in the lodge. It's not that the neighboring people are intentionally being loud. The lodge itself just has a very hollow sound throughout and isn't set up to soften the noise coming from other rooms. We could clearly hear others talking, phones beeping and ringing, TV, doors opening and closing, others showering, toilets flushing and just general walking and moving around. It made for a loud evening & morning. We left pretty early due to this. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to the area. It's a very nice lodge and an awesome place to check out the motorcycles. Just bring some ear plugs for a good nights sleep.

I didn't catch her name but she was very friendly. She asked if we needed anything after doing a quick scan of our room and even went to see if she could find decaf coffee for us. Which speaking of coffee, its a real coffee pot with real coffee! Not just the pods. Some stir sticks would be nice. Our two good sized dogs had plenty of yard to run around (we made sure to clean up after them immediately each time). The room was clean and cute. We did move the furniture around to suite us better. The chair sits in front of the couch due to it being a small room. It still worked perfect for us. We sat on the couch and used the ottoman to play cards and dice while we watched a Halloween movie. The gas fireplace in the corner was a nice touch. It was a super cozy evening! There are two adjoining doors on either side of the room if you had friends or family in other rooms. The refer is a good size for drinks and snacks. The bathroom is big with a big walk in shower. Easily fit 2 of us. It did take me several minutes of messing with all the knobs to figure out the shower. The water pressure was just OK. The temperature knob was very touchy... quickly went from warm to hot. Check in and out was super simple. I sent a text to Gloria and she was quick to respond. I am giving 5 stars, even with the minor issues, because overall it was a great stay and we will be back for sure!

Steve came out and met us in the back yard with a cute couple of pups, and our dog had such a good time playing that I think he thought it was the best vacation ever. I laughed so hard watching them play, I wished I had caught it on film because it was so funny. The house is an easy walk to Downtown Bend. It's off in a neighborhood, so you feel like you're getting a real feel for what it is like to live in the area. There were two bathrooms, one with a claw foot tub, and I had an excellent bath. The other bath had an amazing walk in shower. I fell in love with the creative, and thoughtful design of the spaces and Steve was generous with his time and showed me another space in the triplex. Such creative design, it was just fun to hang out in the house. Bend is surrounded by incredible natural beauty, so we went hiking every day. The hot tub at the end of the day was perfect. The kitchen is set up fully so, it would be easy to cook though we didn't since Bend is filled with great restaurants. Both Alex and Steve are great hosts. I told them my friends were leaving on Sunday and I was going to stay an extra night on Sunday night and wanted to reserve Sunday night when I called them...I asked if they wanted my payment info and the woman said no and that I could pay when I got there. the lady ended up charging my friend instead! when we asked for a refund for Sunday night, we were refused because we missed cancellation period. When we got there the first night, we parked in a parking lot and had to walk to our camp site...hauling everything was a hassle. there were 3 tent sites and all sites had to share 1 porta potty. the reason I am giving this site 1 star is because they are wayyyyy overpriced, considering you have to park and walk to site, share a porta potty, and get spied on and penny pinched for every fee possible. they ended up charging us $60/night ...original price was $37/night but they charged us extra for 2 extra adults and 1 extra car. total rip-off considering there are nearby campgrounds that have bigger sites, better bathrooms, can drive onto site for $10/night and you wouldn't have someone spying on you while you camp. skip this KOA, go for other campgrounds that won't rip you off.

With little…read morelodging in the area around Crater Lake we were happy to have found this place and booked it months in advance. The evening that we were planning on staying here my wife and I wanted to catch sunset at crater lake before heading over. So I made an attempt to call the inn and ask if a 9:30 pm check in was ok. Whenever a day had gone by and I hadn't heard anything back I was starting to get a little worried. So attempt #2 was made by email and within 15 minutes I had a reply back that it was ok and where our key would be located. Driving up to this inn in the dark was definitely an experience. The owner had told me in his email that the last mile of our drive would be on dirt roads. However with the dark my wife and I still were asking "where the heck are we going?" Once on the property and inside the inn we found it to be rather pleasant. The floors are all white carpet and are complemented by the pine wood that is everywhere. There are three separate rooms here and ours was upstairs. The main area is cooled by air conditioning but the rooms only have personal fans. Whenever the doors to the bedrooms are shut then they can get rather warm. This led to me sweating while attempting to go to bed. Stupidly I had missed that I could open the windows on my first look at them but once I had the windows open the nice cool mountain air had the room at a good temperature. At that point the comfortable bed and cool air had me asleep in a flash. In the morning my wife and I were able to enjoy the inn even more. On the outside there was a nice patio with a garden waterfall nearby and my wife and I ate our continental breakfast out there. It also seems like the owner is still working on the property itself. While it wasn't messy by any means there was lots of equipment around and it looked like it would be even nicer in the future. While I was fixing myself breakfast I was able to talk to the owner who seemed to be a nice man. We made small talk over us getting in late the night before and he nicely gave us some suggestions for our next days travels after hearing where we were headed. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. Even though I started our hating this place due to the remote location and my own stupidity with the windows. I eventually came around and really ended up enjoying this place and the peacefulness that came with it.

When we came up on the address, I had to circle around to see if I missed something. Nope. This is the place. So, it's not a hotel. It's not even a motel. But, it's not a hostel. Then why a four star? I liked the remoteness. I liked the rustic feel. We were right in the middle of a forest. The place is basically a guest house with either 3 or 4 small rooms (the one on the bottom is a bit creepy). The room isn't big and the amenities weren't all that great. My wife certainly wasn't happy that I found this place. But, this place had charisma. This is a near adventure and a diamond in the rough.
