We had a fantastic experience at Thousand Trails RV resort in Sunriver, OR. My family had a wonderful time during our two-day stay here. There is quick access to the little deschutes river for causal wading or floating on the river. There are full amenities for the family, including a pool, miniature golf, and...rabbits! My kids had a blast feeding the domesticated rabbits that hang out near the camp store. Overall, it was a great experience. I will be coming back for sure!

    Disc golf course I think?

Don't be fooled by what you see online. This place clearly fell into disrepair many, many years ago and retains almost no resort-like qualities. The campsites are spacious and beautiful. If they advertised this as a rustic RV camp I would have been better prepared. But instead I wanted to cry from disappointment at the complete lack of amenities. There is no pool, no mini golf, no store. Everything is crumbling and falling apart and clearly was not just closed for COVID which is why it all remains closed afterwards. They haven't even Tun a weed eater through the horse shoe pits to make them useable. There are a couple dirt trails to walk or mountain bike on and a grassy area along the river that was packed full of people who were tent camping there. If you need a spot for just basic camping then this has nice campsites but otherwise I highly recommend spending the extra money and just renting a room in Sunriver proper.

Thousand Trails "Resort" was a major disappointment. The website showed a pool and multiple activities for children. We got an email before our trip saying the pool was closed but was expected to reopen in July. We arrived and were told that the pool was closed for the entire year as it had to be completely dug out and replaced. The hot water in the shower near our campsite was not working. We used the pickle ball courts but the portable nets were flimsy and the courts were in disrepair. They were only two portable nets for 8 pickle ball courts! And there are large trash cans with yellow tape blocking off the tennis courts. We tried to use the laundry machine but they required quarters which we did not bring. There were no change machines to get quarters!! Other RV Parks had laundry machines that took credit cards. There was no direct trail for hiking or bicycles to get to the Sunriver Resort area. Our entire group had the impression that Thousand Trails was investing little into this property despite record levels of full reservations. The website should be updated to accurately reflect the current status of the property. And there should be discounts offered to guests with so much missing from the advertised experience. Thousand Trails is not putting the customer first.

Nice, large campsites in the woods, all water and electric only, no sewer. A very few are pull thrus and a very few are 50AMP, but the vast majority are 30AMP back ins. Both Verizon and AT&T have good service. There are a couple food trucks by the entrance if you don't want to cook (lunch). Lots of rest room/shower buildings. Sunriver is a few miles away but the roads are under construction, better to drive further into Bend for stores, including Costco and Trader Joe's, and restaurants. Lots to see and do in the area, including Newberry Volcanic National Monument and the High Desert Museum. We had three nice meals in Bend: Cuban Kitchen (Cuban), Zydeco (Cajun) and Sargent's Cafe (reasonably priced breakfast and lunch place).

    Mold all over the showers

I used to love this place, now its poorly managed and sad. There was a ton of mold in the showers, they decided to update the pool in the middle of summer (and told us about it just 2 days before our stay), and the place just looks shabby. The wooded setting and river were great, but the rest was disappointing.

Pretty disappointed in this place. Super dirty and unkempt. One of the pools was broken and you could see the dirt in the water in the other. Couldn't even see the bottom. Went for a little run and the pictures are what I saw. None of it looks like it does on the website. Place was a dump

Nice kitchen, towels, dishes, pans, utensils all furnished.

It's a huge park with nice level spots. Wish they had septic at the site. So with they had shuttle to town.

We love it here. We walk the dogs, play in the lazy river, walk the trails, watch pickleball and all the bunnies.

August 26-29, 2025 - La Pine, OR…read more We've stayed at La Pine Campground a few times over the years, and each visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The campground is divided into three loops, each with its own character. The North Loop offers water and electric hookups, with sites that are more widely spaced than the others--something I really appreciate. That extra room makes it feel quieter and more private, and it's probably where we'll book our next stay. The Middle Loop has full hookups, while the South Loop is the busiest, featuring full hookups as well as some cabins. . There are many hiking/cycling trails (dog-friendly), and the Deschutes River runs through the campground. There is a short hike to a waterfall, and a large dog park. Unfortunately, we were a bit restricted in our outdoor activities because of the smoke from the two fires in the area. There was actually ash falling on one of the days. Also, there had been several sightings of a mountain lion in the area, so that added a bit of caution to our activities. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back.

Some sites are fairly tight, while others had some nice room. The trails here were very enjoyable. Serene surroundings around the river and through the trees. We saw lots of deer, birds, and other critters scrambling about. I'm sure it would've had a slightly different feel during peak season, but we very much enjoyed our night and day of off season.

The property is beautifully manicured and maintained, and every detail has been thought through to make your stay comfortable and fun. The amenities are outstanding: a heated pool, large hot tub, dog park, pool table, library, business center, store, and even a large communal kitchen and living room area with a TV and fireplace. The private bathrooms with showers are spotless and spacious, and the convenience of trash pick up in cans close to each site is a nice touch. I love the unique site options. Ours included a private "paw patio" for our pups to play and potty safely, and there are also buddy sites where two RVs can face each other, perfect for camping with friends. Many sites have gorgeous gas powered glass fire pits, and they even host fun community events like the s'mores get together this Friday at the communal fire pits. The location near downtown Bend is perfect, and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Between the amenities, atmosphere, and thoughtful touches, this is by far one of the best RV resorts I have stayed at. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed already.! we drove in , I was like wow this Rv Park is really clean, picked up our stuff at the door as it was after hours, easy to find our site plugged in for the night spacious site as we're towing a trailer behind our camper van, and nice picnic tables, well groomed lawn, I only wish I had booked a few more days here! It's the first part of May, Mother's Day weekend, I was really surprised at how cheap it was to stay here for one night, now I'm curious about the summer prices, this place is beautiful! I was really impressed the next morning as we're leaving, not finding a place to put our trash, and a guy in the golf cart gave us a trash bag and he took our trash from us as they have curbside trash service, now this is super nice! I think this is the nicest park we have ever been to and we have camp for the last 30-40 years! after we hooked up and everything we took our little dog out for a walk to see the area, and then we saw this log cabin and I thought oh wow, that's a nice place to stay, but I didn't see any markings on it so we walked in a little further and it's the restroom in the showers, this place is spotless, I took a shower in my RV, but I kind of almost wished I would've tried out their showers because this place is so spotless! What we didn't expect was the absolutely first class experience of staying at this true RV resort! We arrived on a hot summer day, covered in dust from our forest adventures, and were glad that we could check in a bit early (we'd called from town and yes, our spot was already clean and available). Upon checking in at their extremely well-appointed (and very friendly) from office, we were guided to our site by a nice gentleman in a golf cart. He showed us around the site, including locating all of the plug-ins and informing us about when the lawn is watered daily so we could avoid being sprayed. He also told us about a few great perks, like just leaving your trash or recycling at the end of the campsite and it would be picked up hourly. Or the fact that their well-appointed on-site grocery store would deliver ice, beer, or pretty much anything you wanted to your site free of charge! Besides the over-the-top service, this resort is absolutely beautiful. There's a reason "garden" is in their name. The roadways were lined with all sorts of well-groomed plants and beautiful, blooming flowers. And there were constantly maintenance people around pruning, trimming, mowing, and just taking darned good care of the place. The resort also features a pool (which we didn't have a chance to enjoy), and (in addition to the well-stocked grocery store) an equally impressive RV parts shop and large gift/souvenir area as well. The only improvement I would personally make to this park is to offer some sort of shuttle to town, especially when there are events. But that's a minor critique as the location is just perfectly situated between Sisters and Bend, and within a few minutes drive of recreational opportunities and plenty of food. Highly, highly recommend staying here!
