Morning fire and coffee
Amanda L.

The finest of Urban camping!! 10/10 recommend. We were driving from LA to Washington and my husband needed some rest. At 8pm I did quick online reservation and we instantly got all our check in info via email. The full hook ups and shower/bathroom facilities are heaven sent. It was a cold night outside but the bathroom shower stalls were cozy. There was a warm fire in the morning courtyard area with hot coffee brewed. They even provide coffee cups and all the fixins. I would come back here!!

Great community area with fire pit, grills, and morning coffee

What a treat!! Looking for a single night and the online check-in was user friendly. Very clean and everything is so artistically done, there was eye candy everywhere I looked. Hopped on our bikes and cruised the river pathway into Old Downtown for a yummy dinner. We'll be back!!

Post and electrical box made #11 a snug fit.

Very clean. Small but very centrally located.A bit noisy at night due to road work? Or something with big machinery? But they had an after hours answering service. Big plus for us. We weren't sure where to stop on our travels. We arrived after 5. Just after...They were able to tell us if they had room. The other places wouldn't answer and their online booking was not helpful. But on the pricey side for a quick stop. Like another reviewer said, you cannot enter from the street headed north. Just loop around the block and head south. The design inside gate is perfect. Easy to maneuver and all sites are back-in. Full hook-ups. #11 was tight for a pop out due to an electrical box and post to protect it. And we did need our sewer extension because all hook-ups are in back of the site.

my girlfriend & I rented The Indio last night; she is a big Dave Matthews fan, and the band was playing nearby on 08/29 ... we did not encounter a single insect inside the trailer - which was cool because there was a review about a week ago complaining about bugs in the trailer - and we found it much cleaner than expected [uploaded pics, so you can see for yourself]. we were incredibly impressed with the communication.  we booked the resevation months in advance, but my girlfriend had contacted The Camp shortly before the reservation date, as the nearby wildfires caused the air quality in Bend to reach unsafe levels. The GM, Tyler Nicoll, gave her a first-hand account of the air quality at that moment and shared the local weather/wind forecasts [In the end, the wind did its thing, the air quality improved and the weather throughout the show was very pleasant]. The site is basically an 'elevated' trailer park. That's what it is. The place is definitely not a vintage-trailer-themed hotel, which was why we booked it - we wanted to dig that RV experience. Half of the place is eight (8) actual vintage trailers (so if the air quality IS bad from wildfires, by the way, these aren't gonna offer much in the way of filtering - they're f%#@ing vintage) and the other half is designated spots for campers/trailers/RVs to park and, I dunno ... connect and plug things in or whatnot. There is a real cool common area with a fire pit, complimentary coffee and books/ throw blankets to borrow. There is also a trailer that has been converted into a hair salon. The Camp is walking distance to the Hayden Homes Ampitheater, which was really convenient. The Indio has a small toilet inside, but there are separate trailers with toilets, showers and laundry machines. The toilets/showers were adequately clean - again, on the spectrum of hospitality The Camp is closer to a campsite than a motel/hotel. Something to keep in mind, should you be expecting all the amenities of a motel/hotel (if that's what you're looking for, some negative review from 2019 mentioned that "the Motel West down the road" was acceptable). Tyler hung out and chatted with guests in the common area after the DMB show. Both Tyler and Ronald (an employee) were cheerfully greeting guests while they busily went about their duties this morning. As we were leaving Tyler provided several recommendations for brunch in the area (the one we went to was really nice). We will definitely be staying at The Camp again (want to try the other trailers!), and would absolutely recommend it to others.

Boys in front of the Vagabond

What a pleasant stop as we were passing through. We were transported to simpler times as we opened the door to our 1950's Vagabond! We enjoyed use of the clean facilities especially the ready to go grills. We loved our evening under the ambient string lites gathered round the fire pit listening to the stories of other friendly travelers passing through exchanging pandemic adventures sipping on some Oregon Pinot. We finished our trip in the morning greeted with a hot of joe in the self serve common area. Would recommend this for an intimate getaway!

Shower/toilet space

Really was happy to find this gem so close to downtown. Knowing that is was along Hwy 97 we did not expect a quiet "out in the woods experience". It is a new RV camp. With a nice vibe of vintage trailers and tiny houses to rent. But space for trailers and motor homes. There are more smaller spots that fit our 24 foot Jayco Melbourne. The shower and toilets are all in one large mobile trailer that gave me the feel of Cycle Oregon mobile showers and toilets. The showers are push on that last six-ten seconds. Good amount water pressure and hot water. Very walkable to downtown. Have to navigate the hwy but then back roads took us to Franklin underpass and safe walking lane. Once in downtown you have access to the Deschutes river trail! I was able to walk to my conference at The Riverhouse. The cost is pricey compared to other in city RV parks we've stayed at but cheaper than the drive from other out of town RV parks Thanks for being here for us!

I was very impressed already.! we drove in , I was like wow this Rv Park is really clean, picked up our stuff at the door as it was after hours, easy to find our site plugged in for the night spacious site as we're towing a trailer behind our camper van, and nice picnic tables, well groomed lawn, I only wish I had booked a few more days here! It's the first part of May, Mother's Day weekend, I was really surprised at how cheap it was to stay here for one night, now I'm curious about the summer prices, this place is beautiful! I was really impressed the next morning as we're leaving, not finding a place to put our trash, and a guy in the golf cart gave us a trash bag and he took our trash from us as they have curbside trash service, now this is super nice! I think this is the nicest park we have ever been to and we have camp for the last 30-40 years! after we hooked up and everything we took our little dog out for a walk to see the area, and then we saw this log cabin and I thought oh wow, that's a nice place to stay, but I didn't see any markings on it so we walked in a little further and it's the restroom in the showers, this place is spotless, I took a shower in my RV, but I kind of almost wished I would've tried out their showers because this place is so spotless! I will definitely be back to be able to stay a little longer and enjoy the pool with the spa and some downtime, thank you for a very nice place!

What we didn't expect was the absolutely first class experience of staying at this true RV resort! We arrived on a hot summer day, covered in dust from our forest adventures, and were glad that we could check in a bit early (we'd called from town and yes, our spot was already clean and available). Upon checking in at their extremely well-appointed (and very friendly) from office, we were guided to our site by a nice gentleman in a golf cart. He showed us around the site, including locating all of the plug-ins and informing us about when the lawn is watered daily so we could avoid being sprayed. He also told us about a few great perks, like just leaving your trash or recycling at the end of the campsite and it would be picked up hourly. Or the fact that their well-appointed on-site grocery store would deliver ice, beer, or pretty much anything you wanted to your site free of charge! Besides the over-the-top service, this resort is absolutely beautiful. There's a reason "garden" is in their name. The roadways were lined with all sorts of well-groomed plants and beautiful, blooming flowers. And there were constantly maintenance people around pruning, trimming, mowing, and just taking darned good care of the place. The resort also features a pool (which we didn't have a chance to enjoy), and (in addition to the well-stocked grocery store) an equally impressive RV parts shop and large gift/souvenir area as well. The only improvement I would personally make to this park is to offer some sort of shuttle to town, especially when there are events. But that's a minor critique as the location is just perfectly situated between Sisters and Bend, and within a few minutes drive of recreational opportunities and plenty of food. Highly, highly recommend staying here!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the policy of kids under 14 needing to be accompanied by an adult in the clubhouse areas We were in site #432e. The site is situated in the end near a fence. Across from the fence is a pretty busy road. The site itself is wide. Tricky getting. If the site next to you is occupied. Cons: Extremely high prices ($600+ for 5 nights), super annoying 'resort fee' nuisance fee tacked on ($15/night), $10/night for xtra car. And then we get charged Bends 'Hotel Tax' on top of it all. The 'free internet' is next to useless, HS internet is vendored by a THIRD PARTY and charges high daily fees for usage, with no local support.

The campground is divided into three loops, each with its own character. The North Loop offers water and electric hookups, with sites that are more widely spaced than the others--something I really appreciate. That extra room makes it feel quieter and more private, and it's probably where we'll book our next stay. The Middle Loop has full hookups, while the South Loop is the busiest, featuring full hookups as well as some cabins. . There are many hiking/cycling trails (dog-friendly), and the Deschutes River runs through the campground. There is a short hike to a waterfall, and a large dog park. Unfortunately, we were a bit restricted in our outdoor activities because of the smoke from the two fires in the area. There was actually ash falling on one of the days. Also, there had been several sightings of a mountain lion in the area, so that added a bit of caution to our activities. Nevertheless, we will definitely come back.
