We hosted a large event at this campground, and everything from booking to execution was spectacular! Even if we weren't doing a large event, we would have been very pleased with the amenities, the cleanliness, the amazing staff, and beyond. But, the fact that we were so needy and they were so accommodating made everything all the better. I would stay here with a group or solo. What a well maintained and clean park! We were in Bend for five days and stayed at Sun Outdoors. The sites are long and paved with pavers. Hook ups as well as a trash can/recycling bin. Valet trash service. A storage shed for your toys- The clubhouse is well appointed: pool table/popcorn/TV/fire pits/corn hole/hot tub/sauna The desk is staffed until 10pm There is a small sundrys store and ice is available for purchase. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the policy of kids under 14 needing to be accompanied by an adult in the clubhouse areas We were in site #432e. The site is situated in the end near a fence. Across from the fence is a pretty busy road. The site itself is wide. Tricky getting. If the site next to you is occupied. We backed into the spot next to us to turn around then backed into our spot. Otherwise you would be backing down the whole way. No wood fires allowed $$$ read more

We enjoyed our stay here June 18-22. Staff was friendly and efficient. This large RV park has well spaced, level spots, the RV's go on pavers, trucks park on asphalt next to pavers. 20/30/50 amp svc, water, discharge etc all there. They come round and pickup garbage and recycle daily (yes you get two separate bins) Pros: Sauna (yes, sauna), showers included (no tokens required!). Clean bathrooms. Free coffee, popcorn in afternoon, lounge, firepits, BBQ, pickleball, board games. Cons: Extremely high prices ($600+ for 5 nights), super annoying 'resort fee' nuisance fee tacked on ($15/night), $10/night for xtra car. And then we get charged Bends 'Hotel Tax' on top of it all. The 'free internet' is next to useless, HS internet is vendored by a THIRD PARTY and charges high daily fees for usage, with no local support. read more

Came to stay at this RV park and we found there was some incompetency with communication and management. First we were under the impression there were gas fire pits at our spaces. There weren't fire pits at all in the area we were staying. Also I went to use their restroom and they changed the code and didn't tell us in advance. I went to get the new code from the office and there was a sign on the door that said they wouldn't be back for 15 more minutes. Needless to say, I didn't make it back to my RV in time and had an accident. To add insult to injury, when I went to complain, the management said they sent an email to everyone about the change of code. But they didn't send us one. When they did send it after we complained, the new code didn't work. We came to find out two of the numbers were switched. When I asked the manager if we could get a discount, she said no, I'm not going to give you a discount. This all happened on the second day of our four day stay. It was very disappointing and we felt bad about the manager and their incompetency the rest of the stay. We will never stay there again or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Lots of positives about Sun Outdoors. Location in terms of closeness to downtown Bend and Historic Mill District is like a 10 minute drive. However, one side of it borders a busy road, so there's a fair amount of traffic noise. I found the sites to be large enough and far enough apart. Prices are very high for an RV Park, but you have to consider the week I was there, everything was working (except 2 washing machines), and they day before I left they replaced ALL the machines with new that have the credit card payment features. Bathrooms and showers were spacious and always clean. One of the men's room shower areas had a steam room, and there is a community covered coed hot tub on the deck. The patio includes two gas fired rock fire pits that are nice in the evening. And there is a fenced in dog area, although it is on a very steep hill and dusty at the back of the property. Otherwise there are 3-4 large grassy common areas you can walk your dog on leash. There are two lounges ..... one with TV and one with a pool table. The office has a few snack and camping items, and the staff is Uber friendly. 20/30/50 amp available at the site I was on. There are tiers of pricing for the sites, but they all looked pretty much the same to me. If you have a tow vehicle, there seemed to be good space at the sites for your rig and tow vehicle. Each site also has a gravel pad to one side of site driveway you can park your vehicle. And the row of sites I was on had a latched storage area at back of pad you could leave stuff in (chairs, tables, etc). My site also had a metal table and two chairs on it. The sites are all pretty much under long leaf pines, so the needles are everywhere. A cart cones around every morning between 8 and 9 and empties your site garbage can. I agree with others the prices are high (the highest per night prices on my entire 2.5 month journey), but there's a lot going on here from amenities to location. Not a family friendly campground. Kids must be under direct supervision in all locations of the campground. They are not allowed to walk between site to other friends without a parent if they are under 14. Also if they are in the lounge with a parent, they still get reprimanded for a couple pieces of garbage on the floor. Mind you, we were going to pick it up, but they stormed in and scolded our boys. These are not rowdy boys. They are all straight A students who don't damage anything, just want hang out with their friends. The facility is very clean, but not geared towards families. read more

We chose this campground because it was advertised as family-friendly, but our experience was the exact opposite. We came with our children expecting a welcoming, inclusive environment, but instead encountered rudeness, unfair treatment, and outright targeting of families with kids. Even more upsetting, we received an email from management less than 24 hours after being there, that was selectively sent only to certain campers with children, listing a series of "issues" that had supposedly occurred--none of which had anything to do with our kids. It felt like a blanket accusation aimed at families, and it was incredibly unprofessional. If there were actual problems, why not address them directly and appropriately instead of generalizing and making families feel unwelcome? But only some families... Our children were well-behaved and respectful the entire time, and did not visit the locations the issues occurred in. Yet instead of being treated fairly, we felt judged from the moment we arrived with kids. It's disheartening when a place that markets itself to families goes out of its way to make parents and kids feel like a burden. We will not be returning, and I strongly advise other families to think twice before booking here. There are plenty of truly family-friendly campgrounds that don't discriminate against children or handle communication in such an inappropriate way. read more

Sun Outdoors in Bend, Oregon is the Tethrow of RV Resorts. If you're not sure what I'm referring to then Google Tetherow Resort. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are very very diligent to only welcome and quality RVs and travel trailers. Great dog park. It's also close to Anglow Park which has a small dog park as well as a big dog park off leash area. Back to the amenities at the RV resort... the men's and women's locker rooms both have steam rooms which are amazing! Definitely give them 30 to 40 minutes to heat up first and then go in and relax. I absolutely love the complementary coffee every morning and all day. Great Wi-Fi and fantastic place to work remote. read more

Booked way in advance, traveling with friends. Was told they would make notes to put us in spaces next to each other. Upon check in, they said it's $30 dollars more to do that. We were NOT happy. The customer service was terrible, the park itself was unkept. When this place was Crown Villa, it was beautiful. We stayed 2 weeks in Oct 2024. They put us and our friends and complete ends of the park, even though, there were lots of spaces unoccupied. We will not be back. Corporate needs to clean up this park and teach the employees a thing or two on making their guests happy. read more

Clean campsite and enjoyed the property. However, I booked a premium site and was given a site very far away from the one I booked. If a spot is available and I choose to pay up front for it, then I deserve the spot I bought. I WILL NOT pay you guys a rediculous fee to save a spot that I ALREADY PAID FOR. No other campsite I have ever booked with does such a scamming fee. read more

This use to be a really nice RV Resort. It is no longer an upscale resort. They still charge upscale Resort prices, in return you get a space that the grass is not mowed, if you are lucky you might get a small table with 2 chairs that don't match. Weeds and pine needles everywhere. It is really sad to see this place go from beautiful to miss managed and looks neglected. Sun properties are usually nice. Don't waste your money on this place. We will be staying next time at the brand new RV Resort in Bend. It looks like it will be open next month. read more

Once a beautiful resort, with new ownership of off sight you will find a run down park. Too many rules to mention, the lack of security with people driving through the park at all times of the night, and the overall lack of respite for the RV world. Once the New Crown Villa is built down the road, it will give those of us that want a secure, classy, and well run location to be our spot in Bend. I hate everything about what Sun Outdoor has done to the RV world. read more

The park has nice large spaces, lots of grass and trees. Down side, there are only 2 showers for a large park. What's worse only one has worked for the last 2 days. Hot tub is hot, but you can only my use it until 5:00. So it's August and in the 80's amd 90's. The time of day that it would be comfortable to use, after 6:00 or 7:00, it's closed. The small gift/convenience store, has practically no merchandise. So some small complaints that could really make this place so much better. read more

This was once a pristine beautiful park with excellent service. Unfortunately since the new owners purchased it has gone downhill Weeds around sheds with foxtails (bad for our furry friends) The lawns are dry and not mowed. Some of the laundry machines not working. The staff friendly but more help is needed. Prices increased and do not reflect the value. Many guests we encountered said they will not return. read more
