We didn't need to use any of the appliances, plates and such, but boy are they stocked with beautiful wares! Comfy bed, soft towels, I do not believe the little cottage was lacking anything! The back deck was gorgeous and there were 2 bikes in the back laundry room. We didn't get to use the bikes or deck but definitely would have if we had more time. Just a short 2 block walk from the delicious Jackson's corner! Very close to downtown too! I truly loved this place and felt 'at home' staying here. We sure hope we can return for a longer visit!

The house is very small and outdated but generally has everything you would need to enjoy your stay, they customer service people at bluebird seem to be very helpful.

The campground wasn't too full when we stayed and had ample space for all of us. The parking spaces for each campsite were decently sized and we were able to fit the field trip vehicles (including school vans) in without a problem. Noise was not an issue here and quiet hours were observed. The campsites has picnic tables and even ground. This made setting up tents easy and meant we had options as to where to set our tents up on a given campsite. Restrooms were interspersed throughout the campground and there was a water pump where we could go to pump clean/drinking water. Crane Prairie Reservoir borders the campground and it a lovely place to sit and stare at the stars, watch the sun rise, and watch the sun set. Chipmunks also occupied the campground when we were there. We came back to our food store one day to find chipmunks had gone after some bagels. Good reminder we shared the campground with wildlife during our stay.

Maybe there are no bedbugs because they left out the open, unsecured windows I passed or killed themselves because the smoky, non-smoking rooms are depressing, with fuzzy TVs. Good points: the bed was comfortable, the AC worked, the water was hot, and the towels were rectangular. And, lucky for us it was quiet (Monday night). However, it felt like I was being cased when I unloaded the car. Worse was the confused guy in the incense-filled closet-sized lobby who checked me in. He asked me EIGHT TIMES if it was for one night to the point I grabbed the chained-up pen and wrote "1 NIGHT" in all caps on my arm. I recommend bringing a Sharpie.

We chose this motel when booking specifically because the reviews said it was clean. Uhhh, when we pulled back the sheets a bottle of LUBE fell out! I'm positive they did not change the sheets. There was a LAYER of dandruff and dirt along the headboard and the mattress pad, it looks like they have NEVER vacuumed or cleaned in there. I saw evidence of possible bedbugs. We went and woke the nice worker up again and asked if there was a different room, there wasn't so we just decided to drive home 2 1/2 hours away. I hope we can get our money back. Just for context, I'm a country girl who shovels poop and tosses my own roadkill. I'm no priss. But I'm not about to pay $130 bucks to snuggle up with someone else's lube. This place was next level gross. I'd even be willing to just let them keep my money if they'd pay their workers for some extra hours to do some deep cleaning. They clearly aren't paying them enough.

It features a couple small dirt parking areas, picnic tables, and an outhouse. There is no fee for camping here. There are ten camping sites. The area is snowed in from Dec.-May, if not longer. The area is a forest of ponderosa pine. It's considerably higher and cooler than Bend. The campground, about 32 miles from Bend, is most easily accessible from Highway 20 just east of the now-out-of-business "town" of Millican. You drive on an unpaved but graded road through desert before climbing way up the mountain. The actual summit is just a short drive beyond the camp - there are a couple communications towers on top. Near the campground a road labeled "Not maintained" cuts off down to the south. I didn't go this way....

We went snowshoeing during the day but could have gone downhill skiing at Hoodoo or visited Sisters just as easily. We stayed in a yurt, temps in the 20-30s, but our yurt was so warm and comfortable, not to mention spotless! You do need to bring all your own supplies for sleeping and cooking. Its like camping in a ginormous tent! So much room!! There is a microwave and minifridge, and we used our own portable propane campstove and bbq for cooking. There is no internet/wifi so at night we played games, read and danced (did I mention they are huge?). The public flush toilets and showers were also very clean and in great condition. A super fun, unique winter experience. We will for sure be back!!

The cabin had a bed, a table with two chairs, and a gas cook stove (which we did not use). It also had a thermostat-controlled gas fireplace which kept the place nice and warm. The place was pretty small, but adequate for our needs. The big downside was that the overhead light was a very harsh fluorescent light. There was also no porch light. The restrooms were pretty decent, although the TP in the women's bathroom was almost out by Sunday morning. There are plenty of moths, spiders, and other bugs in the bathrooms, which is unpleasant but to be expected. Nearly every single sign is in Comic Sans which makes it feel like the place is run by a bunch of college interns. The lake itself is very beautiful. I recommend doing the five-mile loop hike around it, or renting a boat.
