We got day lift passes for us to ride up the mountain to see the view and possibly play in the snow during July. We were able to get up to the restaurant and see snow out there, not too much but just enough for the kids to play in. The view from the mountain was beautiful and peaceful. The views up the ski lift were also great. The gift shop was open for me to peruse and I got a shirt. The lift tickets were a bit expensive for us going up once. But since we were here in the summer time it was the best we could do. There were a lot of bikes out on the trail and some people walking the other trails. read more

My family and I spend most of our winter days at Mount Bachelor, and overall, we really love the place. With four of us, it's a great way to spend time together on the mountain. While Bachelor is a bit smaller than some other resorts, and conditions can be variable, there's always a good vibe, and the staff really do their best even when the weather isn't ideal. One thing that can get a bit annoying is the pricing for food in the lodges, which feels unpredictable and limited in quality each season. I also wish there were more perks or discounts, like you see at similar resorts (with the same ownership), and more connection to Woodward. A few tips: If you're with kids or seeking beginner terrain, parking at Sunrise is your best bet. If you want to hit the terrain parks, park at Skyliners. And for more of that "village" atmosphere, head to the west side. The terrain overall is more on the blue side, with limited beginner runs, so something to keep in mind depending on your group. You can also spend a lot of time traversing. Overall it's a great spot and we're lucky to have it! read more

I came to the resort for a day of zip lining in honor of my friend who died that morning. The day was filled with subtle references to her, her chosen name was a reference to lions and stars... I was surprised to find that Bachelor's logo is a lion face inside the sun. I stared at it for a while, remembering her. A moment layer I turned to a little bucket with a children's book on it, it was called Happy Birthday Moon. I used to think of her as a moon spirit, so I knelt to open the first page. Inside the cover, someone had written "Elizabeth" as a dedication. That was her name as well. I smiled as I felt that she was with me. I started the 3 zip lines and it was a blast! I signed her name at the last drop with chalk. Right before my final zip line, the guide's little speaker system started playing the first Incubus song I ever heard, almost 30 years ago. It was my favorite band and one we bonded over. It was "Wish You Were Here" by Incubus. I had trouble holding back my tears as I plugged into the final cable. But I felt her with me on the way down. I'm heights phobic. I've never ziplined before and I'm 67 years old. This was the most fun I've had in forever! I'm going to zip line as much as I can in the future! Safety was the priority all along the way and our guide from Connecticut did a great job of reassuring folks and keeping the instructions impactful, but light. What a rad mountain to snowboard at! Day one was fantastic, with the upper lifts open and beautiful sunny weather. Saturday was much windier and colder, but we still had a great time using the lower lifts and taking occasional breaks to warm up. read more

We went on Christmas day. It was expensive. My daughter and I choose to ski only for half a day. I didn't think I would like it. Surprisingly, I liked it. I had booked my rentals and lift tickets online in the morning. When we arrived, we went to the box office to get our RFID lift pass. There was no line. The rental line was the same. I had already gave them all our information. The rental person made sure everything was accurate and had us out of there within minutes. There was no waiting at any of the lifts that we took. We had fun skiing down their hills. We had lunch in their restaurant. My daughter was smart and got a ham sandwich. For some reason I ordered the worst tasting and looking teriyaki bowl/plate in the world. The meat looked like it was cooked in an instapot. The rice was mushy like they had too much water in it. I didn't finish it. It was a good half day skiing here. I enjoyed Mt. Bachelor. Maybe I will come here again one day. But, no more ordering their beef bowl or whatever that thing was. read more

The mountain is 4 stars. The resort is 2.5. The camping used to be great, but some jack_ss decided that running snow moving equipment from 1 am to 6 am every day from Sunday to Thursday was a good idea and it put a real damper on this rating. There was hardly any snow, we were camping in spring and our (2) families were hard pressed to get a decent night's sleep for the entirety of our stay. I have worked at several resorts and in the parking lot of a few, so I have the utmost respect and appreciation for the front line folks that are doing their respective jobs. IDKWTF management is doing. I know that they were trying to prep for their big festival weekend, but every aspect of what was going on was totally inconsiderate of the many campers that were staying there and an utter waste of resources. Scraping the sidewalls of the snow bank right in front of the camping area at 3 am is the most dickish of moves. When you book your camping, you agree to their cancellation/no show policy (which, by the word, seems like they take very seriously). It's a f'n joke. We found out that you can pay for a site for a week or a month and never show, but as long as you "check in" (tell them that you will show sometime between day 1 and day 7) they don't GAF. Our discovery was made when I attempted to get our camp closer to our family friends who were also camping during the same time. This was our third spring break at the resort and will be the last that we camp there. In years past, we spoke to the camp host and they'd be able to make a few adjustments to accommodate (which has always been very much appreciated). I wouldn't normally take this much effort to write a review, but the way this all unfolded was a slap in the face. I was told by multiple hosts, guest services and the parking manager that all the powered sites were booked solid for the entirety of our stay (we had successfully booked 3 nights powered and another without), yet every single night there were 4-5 vacant powered sites that included the site next to the family that we were camping with and attempting to get moved next to. Every single day: "Nope, every powered site is booked out." Every following morning: multiple vacancies in powered sites It was extremely disappointing. Our family RV's to many different resorts. This was the most obnoxiously unnecessary use of snow moving equipment I have ever experienced. What makes it worse is that I've done that job and know, first hand, how dumb it is to waste the level of resources wasted to move a few inches of snow while 40? campsites are TRYING TO SLEEP. I've been camping when FEET of snow fell and the machines usually came through between 4-5 am. This bullsht started at 1 am, every f'n night. Apparently, there's an abundance of diesel to accompany the absence of brain cells. It sucks, too, because we've had lots of fun in years past. read more

My wife and I have zip lined twice in Hawaii and they don't compare with the adrenalin rush you get on Mt. Bachelor. The staff and guides are truly professional and make your safety and comfort top priority. This one is NOT for the faint of heart as it is a quick steep drop with speeds around 70 to 80 mph on the final line, which I attempted to match by only using the hand brake at the very end. If you're not afraid of heights and enjoy unmatched scenic beauty, take the plunge! Our guide, Mallory was the sweetest young gal and made us feel very secure. read more

Lodges and cafes are horrible. Force you order on app, 60-90 minute wait claimed then food 60 minutes or more later than that. They literally force you choose between staying off the slopes for 90+ minutes are abandon you ridiculously expensive order! So bad and management could not care less read more

We did the snowshoeing with a ranger tour. What a sweet educational and fun activity for days you don't feel like skiing! The three rangers were entertaining and gave lots of cool info about Mt Bachelor! It's free too but they do suggest a $10 donation which was such a deal! read more

What a crappy MLK weekend at Mt Bachelor. They get 5 feet of fresh powder and then it rains on top. Ruined all the fresh snow. Sunday was a beautiful day, but the lift operators couldn't get anything open. Pine Marten was delayed 2 hours and they never got any of the other quad lifts open all day (except Sunrise which is a kiddie lift). Monday was a blue bird day, but same problem. They opened CloudChaser + Pine Marten, but nothing else. The lines were horrible! I won't be wasting my time or money on this place again, until they get some better lift operations. The management gets a big fat F. read more

Nice even pitched volcano for intermediate skiing not much for advanced or experts. POWDR Corp is the company that runs the lifts and concessions and they are beyond horrible. Food is terrible and lifts are constantly broken or only running at half speed. They don't pay their employees at livable wage so they are constantly short on staff. They have a monopoly in central Oregon on skiing and they know it. Hopefully one day it will return to community owned. read more

Kids took ski lessons for the first time here. The program is well organized and the instructor was great. The reasons I'm not giving 5 stars is I've become a spoiled wimp since I've become accustomed Tahoe in CA where it is rarely as cold as it was the day we were here. It was 16° F and snowing. Also, the lodge/cafeteria was very crowded (a concern due to the pandemic). I wish they had fire pits and outdoor seating (showing my spoiled CA side again). We ended up getting our lunch and eating on a bench in the covered breezeway between buildings. The next day we tried Nordic skiing for the first time. The people at the Nordic center were friendly and we had a great time. read more

We are from SF and Tahoe is always super crazy busy and crowded so we decide to try something new and different this season. There's no lodging at the mountain so you have to stay in Bend, but that's not a problem since it's a very short drive. There's plenty of free parking and there are lockers for your bag and shoes. If you buy tickets in advance they have an automated system where a machine prints out your pass without having to speak to anyone which is super efficient! The lines for the lifts were empty at points during the day and the lanes are gated so you can scan your pass to get on the lift. The runs were perfect for my skill level and really enjoyed the change of pace from Tahoe. Will definitely come back. read more

Money hungry corporation that has turned this once incredible and affordable mountain into a joke of deceptive price gouging, "Fast Trax pass" (if you make more $$ than others you can buy your way to skip the line...) 50% open 1/2 through the season with plenty of snow to go around- just short staffed because management doesn't know how to run a mountain properly. Absolute travesty what has happened to this mountain. Northwest chair didn't open until Feb.... Half the mountain was closed until February for no reason other than poor management - complete joke. Don't even get me started on the new president of Mount Bachelor John Merriman who likes to gaslight locals on his social media account... 0/5 stars. And this from someone who literally grew up riding in this mountain. read more

Came here for mountain biking during the summer and it was AWESOME! We rented bikes and bought a day pass which costed $150/person which is such a good deal! I live in California and the mountain biking in CA costs a lot more! They also provided elbow pads, knee pads and a helmet. They picked the right size of bike for us depending on our height and weight. The bikes were in tip top shape with an impressive amount of suspension. The trails on thw mountain were SO FUN! They had table tops, rubber turns, lots of jump opportunities, it was a playground! And chair lifts so there was no uphill riding. I will say the blue runs were more like black runs. The blues definitely translate to black runs at CA mountain biking parks. The staff were incredibly nice. I cant even explain their niceness it was off the charts! After a day of mountain biking, we went to the ski shop downstairs and bought a bunch of snowboard gear because they were having a huge sale. I bought boots and a board and they shipped the board to CA for me. Everything was 40% off it was awesome. The guy was very knowledgeable about the different boards and bindings. There were so many options but he listened to my needs and was very trustworthy. Thank you!! read more

Family oriented ski place, 25 min drive up a very gentle road from Bend. The mountain offers variety of nice rolling hills and runs that are going pretty much 360 deg around this volcanic site. The views can be spectacular if the un is shinning. The snow conditions can vary a great deal from fabulous dry and powdery fluff to wet, heavy, and more like Sierra cement. It can also get very windy at the top. But you can ski nonstop and go whichever directions as the place simply is wide open. I enjoy skiing here and love the scenery. The lifts are pretty much all high speed detachable Quads. read more
