Worst customer service I have ever encountered! When We arrived to our Room on check in it had clearly not been cleaned but hey accidents happen. I called and spoke with a nice woman who was able to a crew on their way. This caused me to have to feed 2 adults and 4 children with take out when our original plan was to cook in the room. (beware these rooms do not have real ovens just convection microwaves) During our stay blinds were literally falling off the walls. When my GF opened the microwave for the first time a broken vent cover flew off nearly hitting my youngest child. The lamp with charger next to my bed was not functional and had a broken bulb stuck in socket. I am a contractor with 20 years experience in home repairs and my experience tells me these are known issues that have had previous attempts at repair. After voicing these concerns to management I was told to wait a calendar week to hear back about potential discount. Crickets. We've stayed here twice due to the location. But both times the condos were not worth the price and the units are both in need of major renovations. This time the AC unit needed to be cleaned, there was no grill for use and the bedding was on par with a motel 6. Also units do not have washer/dryer which is a significant drawback. read more

I am another prior owner of a unit that returned for a stay and was very disappointed. The one good thing about our stay was the view and proximity to the river. Other than that, the property has gone down hill and is substandard. The condition on the exterior , especially stairs , require maintenance and paint. Inside of our unit was not clean and requires updating. The carpet stains made it look like a college party house. The topper was the non refundable hot tub fee of $126. We didn't use the hot tub and declined the key to use it. Response from management? ?? Too bad.... You have better options of places to stay. I am not returning. read more

My daughters wedding in May 2022 - booked a year ago - I learned was cancelled unexpectedly after calling today to work on details and was told "they are no longer doing events". No official notice. No email or phone call. No refund as yet. We would not even know now, had I not called. No words for the degree of unprofessionalism in how this was handled. Its appalling. No real apology or empathy for the situation we are now in. Also, invitations were out and guests had booked rooms at the resort. There is no easy online way to cancel. Every person is now having to call. As if changing our venue less than 90 days out isn't inconvenient or embarrasing enough. Future guests, watch out! Your vacation/event has been cancelled. This timeshare was great! I traded in one of my weeks at Wapato Point to come here, and it was a superb decision on my part. My room was so nice! Flat screen TV, surround sound, DVD player, full kitchen, jacuzzi and hot tub. A very spacious layout and all the appointments made for a very comfortable stay. The views are really beautiful all around the property. Out of our living room window I had a full panorama of the river and trees that lined it. First, the room we thought we reserved (per pictures) was not the room we got. This room was in need of a serious update. It was very shabby and worn out, but the worst part was how filthy it was! It obviously had not been vacuumed or dusted in ages. And it smelled. The filters in the portable air conditioner (the room had no ac! ) were black, the dish rack was moldy, the dishwasher had dirty dishes in it, broken blinds in bedroom, random piece of styrofoam in closet and broken closet door. The shower did not drain and there was hair in the shower door tracks. We requested another room, but they would not accommodate. The front desk sent someone to clean and it took her a couple of hours. She was very professional and we so appreciated her effort. There were two pathetic uncomfortable chairs on the deck. Many of the lounge chairs in the pool area are falling apart. I honestly don't know how they stay in business! read more

We've been staying here for about 20 years, and used to love this place. But this will be our last trip. Each unit is different and some are very comfortable and this one was not. It was old, dirty, the drains ran slow and the toilet ran the entire time we were there. They stopped doing daily house keeping service but this was never made clear. I have a broken shoulder and was furious when I read I had to strip the beds and haul all the sheets and towels to the front door before checking out. I also had to run all the trash and recycles out which is tough to do with one arm. The real stinker is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything below and next to you. I love the location and it's nice having a small kitchen when you are there for the week. But there are other places where you can get that w/ out having to hear your neighbors all day and night long. Sorry MBVR. It was a good run but the changes you are making are not making it nicer for your guests. read more

We stayed here for one night in the middle of the week in February. It was a spur of the moment booking since we were already staying in town, but the place we were staying at originally (Seventh Mountain Resort) wouldn't let us stay an extra night because they were supposedly full. This place was a bit pricey, but the private hot tub on the balcony was a GREAT feature. There was no sharing a hot tub with strangers and their children or walking to get to the hot tub. Amazing view!! Our unit was on the backside, facing the river. We really loved watching the sunrise over the hills from the hot tub. We even saw a couple of deer walk out back. Our unit was huge. We were two couples sharing a one bedroom unit. One couple took the bedroom and the other couple took the living room. I think the couple in the living room slept more comfortably than us in the bedroom because the mattress in the bedroom was severely lumpy. The hair dryer in the bathroom barely worked either. I did love the washer and dryer in the unit. That was a nice convenience, just wished there was a small box of detergent available in the unit. We were a close walk to the Cascade Lakes Lodge, which is where we decided to have dinner. Even though this resort isn't the closest to Mt Bachelor, it's still not that far of a drive to and from the mountain. Pretty centrally located to downtown. read more

This review is for Meredith Lodging, also, who manage the properties and contracting the homes that visitors stay in. Do not book here or any of their vacation rentals. You are throwing the dice as they have the ability to cancel at the last minute leaving your family without a vacation. They don't care about you and your family is the bottom line. I carefully put hours into planning a 4 day vacation with my family in May. I had to put half down immediately and then they automatically took out the other half a few weeks later. After they took my money, they called 1 1/2 weeks prior to my July trip to cancel, letting me know the owners decided to move back into their home. They had no other places to put us up in. They meekly apologized with little empathy. I am getting my refund, but I won't get back all the hours I put into planning my trip, the time off from our jobs, the down payments for recreational activities. I am now scrambling around trying to find a hotel/cabin anything for prime time in July. Not looking good. There are no guarantees, so don't chance it. There should be protection laws against companies like these! AVOID!!! read more

This place is dated. We got a condo and it was OK, but two things really were disappointing. (1) the hot tub. The hot tub is so cheap and old you can barely feel the jets, which makes it essentially worthless. We tried every adjustment. Some jets barely come out. There is no water rippling on the surface, which tells you how weak the jets are. (2) there is a jacuzzi in the bathroom that looks to be about 20 years old. Besides being worried I might electrocute myself I couldn't get it turned on no matter how hard I depressed the on/off button. Finally right before I was giving up, I got it powered on. Then it would not turn off. I pushed it as hard as I could about ten times, even standing up and depressing button. We had to call the front desk. There is a big red WARNING on the tub wall about not submerging, and all I could think of were all the old jacuzzis that could suck your hair in and drown you. They need to either replace the jacuzzis or just replace with a regular tub. These jacuzzis are too old to be truly safe. So a really old jacuzzi and a crappy hot tub. Whatever. read more

We didn't actually stay at the Mt. Bachelor Village Resort, but instead had our wedding reception there! Hank, who is in charge of managing events at the resort was AMAZING. A week before my wedding, which was set to be completely outside on September 28, SNOW showed up in the forecast. I made several calls to resorts, hotels, breweries and other places in an effort to have a backup plan for actual snow, although I firmly believed the forecast would change. Hank was one of the people I called, and he was totally willing to work with me, with only one week's notice!! Still, I waited until Thursday before the wedding to make the call to bring the reception inside and Hank did the rest. He coordinated with my wedding planner to get all of the vendors everything they might need to pull this off, he let us use some of his decorations and chairs for the ceremony, he found a projector for my sisters to use during their speech and was present at the resort the whole time to help guests with coats, help vendors move furniture and make sure that everything was running smoothly. I didn't get a chance to actually stay at the resort, but I can tell you that I will for sure be returning! The space we used for the reception was indoor/outdoor and the outside part was heated! We had the dance floor and DJ outside, where we also had cocktail hour. It was warm and out of the snow (which continued all day long) but it was still outside for most of it! We had dinner and speeches and dessert inside the event space and it could not have been more magical. If you're looking for a great reception space - this is the place. But even more so, Hank deserved MVP. He impressed my dad so much with his help that my dad just kept saying "people like that restore my faith in humanity." Seriously, if you're looking for a great place to get married, have a reception, get photos done, have a party and have everyone centrally located (there are tons of rental houses!) this is the place! The negative reviews here are not wrong. I wanted to come here for a honeymoon weekend and bring my maid of honor and best man and have a two bedroom condo with the hot tub on the porch. This was the most convenient place with those amenities in close proximity to bend. The website has basically no photos of the two bedroom online. But a virtual tour of the suite. But they are two different prices and layouts. So I called and asked if I came by if they would let me see them in person. The guy said yeah of course just come to the front desk! So the next day (today) we drove from EUGENE TO BEND to look at these resorts (MBR, Brasada and Eagle Crest) that we were going to choose from because pictures can be deceiving and I would like to stay at a nice place after I get married. Also I've never been to bend so I really didn't know what to expect. I go to the check in desk and Janna is the biggest bitch I have ever met. She tells me that the condos are exactly the same and asks which one I want to stay in. I told her well I don't know because they're different. She tells me they're exactly the same except one has an upstairs and that there's photos online and virtual tours and acts like I'm retarded for standing there asking. She then tells me people don't typically come check out condos before they stay. (They probably should because they would change their mind just like I did). She then proceeds to walk me through the website and shows me where the virtual tour is. Still no info on the two bedroom condo which is all I'm asking for. (Mind you all she had to do was hand me a key so I can go across the road and look at them). So then we leave to drive around since she's no help. We go down to the athletic club and the people there are the nicest people I've ever met which makes me want to stay there despite the shitty service at check in. I tell my friend well we don't have to deal with Janna except at check in/out maybe it's worth it. So we go back up and inform her we do want to stay there but we want to see the two bedroom condo to decide which one we want. She asks me which one. So I repeat the condo. Since the suite is online and I can see what it looks like. We asked her if there's anyone there who can show it to us (since clearly she can't be bothered) and she said she's the only one but she'll give us a key. Throws a map at us with unit number circled and says that's the unit. Turns out, it's a one bedroom, with a conjoining bedroom/bath only unit making it into a two bedroom and the difference between the suit is you don't get the conjoining room you just get the upstairs room. (Three bedroom you get all) Makes perfect sense once you've seen it if explained that way but apparently none of the employees can put it into layman's terms and assume everyone can visualize their shitty descriptions. After this we go on to read the reviews and everyone says they all the employees are jerks and have horrible customer service skills and the units are out dated and the beds are horrible. We even tried to call and talk to a manager to avoid leaving a review but they refused to give us a phone number for someone. So here this long ass negative review will sit. Please book at your own risk. I don't want anyone to be treated so shitty like we were. There's plenty of other places to stay where you'll be treated with respect for dropping a grand+ on a weekend visit to bend. read more

We stayed here as a team in late April - the kids LOVED the pool and hot tubs. The (Fireside?) Room adjacent to the pool was lovely and we'll look into reserving it in the future. Everyone we interacted with was very helpful. I highly recommend their catering - I was surprised and impressed by the quality and value. Our room (the only one I saw, loft room) was a little dark, dated and minimally stocked in the kitchen compared to other condos we have stayed in, which is the only reason for the last missing star. They did provide make-up service and fresh towels daily which was a nice touch. read more

My wife and I booked a condo at Mt. Bachelor Village Resort in early January. Our son and his fiance planned to be married there on June 13, 2020. Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions on large gatherings, Mt. Bachelor informed my future Daughter-in-law they would not be able to hold there wedding there which cancelled their wedding at that venue. I called the resort to cancel our room as we will not be traveling from Wisconsin to Bend, OR for a wedding. I was informed we would be charged various cancellation fees and sales taxes on those fees that totaled $173.84. This cancellation penalty under the circumstances beyond anyone's control is outrageous. read more

We spent our 4th of July here and this is a great location to relax and be close to nature. There's hiking in the hills and trails around the water. Our room is a tiny bit smaller than we had anticipated but was very nice and clean. If it weren't for the fact that our room was joined to another room and we could hear people in the other room, I would have given this place a 5 star. What I love most is the fact that you get free membership to the Athletic club next door and I was there every day! read more

The fickle weather forced a venue change for my sons wedding. On very short notice the reception was moved to the Mount Bachelor Village conference center. The venue was wonderful - sit down dinner inside and then music and dancing on the patio (under heated lamps). Hank was great with extraordinary attention to detail with virtually no lead time. read more

What a great place. Really beautiful views. You get an entire house with a hot tub, jacuzzi Huge living room, Kitchen etc....Just beautiful. You can even cook right in the privacy of your own suite. There's a really good Safeway nearby (with a Starbucks inside and in the parking lot) There's also a Blockbuster Video in the lot as well. This is all good because the condo type units have a DVD player with surround!! Great place to escape to. Very private. The River Ridge Executive Packages are great. I could give this 5 stars but the cost is really high and not much room for discounts, bargaining or lowering the price even for repeat customers. Its close enough to bend and about 18 miles from the ski area. They recently increased flights at the airport and more and more flights are being added. There's also a movie theater nearby. So much to do!!!! You'll just love it!! Oh be aware once you commit, you pay! Even if you leave a day or two early. read more

I had an opportunity to tour this resort/timeshare recently and I really liked the resort. It is a great place to get away with your family for skiing, hiking, white water rafting, etc. I am not sure if each unit has them but the one I was in overlooked the Deschutes River and had a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the river but still private. They have 1 and 2 bedroom condos with kitchenettes for rent. Great family get away and since they are not located directly near a ski lift, look for winter rates, etc. read more

The Front Office Manager, Paul Beatty, has "been in the business 25 years," which he feels entitles him to treat his customers like they are ignorant. He was absolutely rude and unaccomodating. I love staying here. My only issue is the front office staff, namely Janna who upon check in was defensive and snippy.

Whether you enjoy your stay largely depends on which type of room you pick. The rooms facing the river have great views complete with a grill and outdoor jacuzzi. Meanwhile, the rooms facing the parking lot have all the charm of an outdated Holiday Inn. The hotel staff were the only people we met in Bend that weren't welcoming. I'm sure there are better options elsewhere in the area. read more

I stayed in a "B" unit; maybe an "A" unit would be a better experience. My unit was clean but it very dated. The design of the room is very unusual. As soon as you enter the room there is the bed (with a wall behind it that is one large mirror). I immediately pulled the blinds because the windows look out on the parking lot. And there are only two windows in the unit and they are both in the main room with the bed. The "B" units have no view whatsoever. The furniture, bed, and bathroom are all very clean and very 70s. It was a step back in time. The ironing board was ridiculously small and was impossible to use because it you have to put it on a counter but there is not counter big enough to put it on. It is a minor issue but it is something that you assume any hotel room you get will have a full size ironing board. As an added bonus (*sarcasm*) the door separating my room from the adjoining room was left unlocked. So at 10pm my neighbors accidentally opened the door thinking it was a closet. Unbelievable that there isn't a double lock system to prevent such an event. The two stars is because the staff was friendly and the unit was clean. read more

We were extremely disappointed with the service that we received here. We were excited to come to Mount bachelor Village, and we were expecting friendly service, however, we were met with negative and unaccommodating staff, subpar service and unwelcoming attendants. Also, the beds aren't comfortable and the rooms are small and outdated, especially considering the price we paid. We spoke with the staff multiple times, making small requests and everything was met with negativity and resistance. No customer service for a resort of this magnitude. We will not be returning and suggest that others do not use these accommodations. read more

This is one of those places where you need to do your research first in order to get the best room and rates. The units are all privately owned, some are placed into the "rental pool" with quite high rates but the best deals are found through vacation rental websites like vrbo. The staff at the resort is very friendly and seem to cater to all guests regardless of where you rented the room from. I stayed in a 1br loft condo in Ski House 1 which was very clean, well stocked with essentials, and was very easy to deal with the owner (# 215) They must have fixed the hot tubs because the reviews below are not accurate as both jacuzzi's had very powerful jets and was heated perfectly to the point of wanting to jump into the pool to cool off but it wasn't open yet in late February. read more

I don't think I've ever had a more cold welcoming during a hotel check-in. The host did not bother to wish us a good stay or tell us about any of the hotel amenities, such as free access to the Bend athletic club. The host also did not bother to tell us about where to access the pool, etc. Every single question was met by a dry answer. Additionally, when I asked about the Bend Athletic Club, the employee told us that we would have to check in every day during our stay to get passes. But the next day, another employee gave us all the passes we needed during the stay without us asking for that. So don't expect consistent treatment. And don't think the last employee was any nicer, when my partner told her we would need passes for every day during our stay, she gave him the third degree, asking him how we planned to attend the work conference taking place at the resort if we were going the Club every day. I thought that was a huge invasion of privacy on her part and also inappropriatley presumptuous. My partner was not attending the work conference (simply joining me during the trip) and the conference schedule was not so demanding that I could not work out every day with my partner. The employee then told my partner that he should make sure to bring any unused passes back as the hotel pays for each one. So be forewarned, that the advertised free access to the Bend Athletic Club does not come without rudeness and interrogation. There was also no privacy tag in our room so the next day we we woke up startled by the loud and forceful knocking of room service, who, by the way, entered the room even after I yelled "No, thank you" several times. Finally, I very much agree with the other reviews who have said that the rooms are extremely dated. I thought the Marriott, where I stayed last year, not far from Mount Bachelor, was much nicer. My best experience was staying at the Hilton over by the Mill. Beautiful room with a view and warm staff. While having access to the Bend Athletic Club and being able to stay in the resort where my work conference was taking place was nice, I will not be returning to MBR. read more

We've been coming to bend for years & staying at these condos. Apparently the economy has hit this place bad. They put us in a condo that no one had stayed in for awhile. You'd think they'd check it out & make sure everything was in tip-top shape, but no, I guess they couldn't be bothered. The 1st night we reported to them that the heater didn't work. It was Sun night & the guy had no clue what the problem was. He offered to move us to another condo, but we had so many bags that we had already hauled in & started unpacking. I told him if he had a couple space heaters that would suffice for the night. He came up with some. It worked in our son's room just fine, but we were upstairs with high ceilings so it never got warm up there. They had a guy come in the next day, thought he fixed it & left. Had to call them again late in the day. Finally at 8pm the guy had it all fixed. Yeh! End of story? No. Called the next day to report the garbage disposal didn't work. We were told that was the owners problem to get fixed & there was nothing they could do about it. Ok so we decide to forget about that minor inconvenience & soak in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Guess what? The hot tub won't heat up past 94°. Call the office again. They send a guy out the next day to fix it. It's supposedly fixed so my husband tries it out again after skiing. Nada. Still not working. So we give up on that. Then about the 5th night my husband sits down at the dining room table to work on his pc & can't get the dining room light to turn on! After staying here for years when we come up at Christmas, we decided it's time to find a new place to stay!!!! read more

We just arrived at this hotel for a long relaxing weekend. We got home from dinner around 8pm and the people upstairs who LIVE here, started making noise and jumping around. We went upstairs to ask them nicely to be quiet and they refused to be quiet. We called the front desk THREE times to ask them to ask him to be quiet and he still is being loud. It's been a hour now and the hotel is doing NOTHING about it. We are NEVER staying here again. This place is extremely unprofessional and obviously care more about the people who LIVE here than the guests on vacation. read more
