A facade fit for the snow !

I recently stayed here and was very impressed by the entirety of this location. From the water with lemon dispensers near the elevator to the always available coffee dispensers to the well stocked sundry store that had bottles of my favorite water available for purchase so I didn't have to stop at a gas station or a grocery store for them...to countless other details. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns for business, my favorite brand in the Hilton umbrella...and believe me this location has all the details covers. For business or personal/family travel this is a wonderful hotel. It speaks well to whoever manages this location...particularly post covid when some locations are still trying to figure stuff out. Lastly, it sort of looks like a lodge, appropriately because this area snows, and as luck would have its within walking distance of good food and a movie theater. Some business just have it all!

We visited Bend for some hockey exhibition games on a weekend. Surprisingly, most hotels in Bend were very expensive. Furthermore, most of them were almost full. Hampton Inn was one of the hotels that offer relatively reasonable rates. The hotel was close to the ice rink, the Pavilion. It was about 5 minutes drive and 15 minutes walk away from the rink. There were many nice trails around the hotel, so it was very convenient to have a walk to explore the area. The hotel staff was friendly and polite. There were snacks and drinks in the lobby. The breakfast was also included. Breakfast is very typical continental breakfast. It's probably the best hotel deal in Bend. The hotel room was well equipped. There's a microwave and a fridge. There's also a coin laundromat where there were multiple washers and dryers, which was super convenient for us to wash stinky jerseys between the games. If you forget the detergent, the front desk sells detergent in small packages at a reasonable price. ($1 or $2) Overall, I am happy with this hotel. Some of our teammates spent more to stay at a different hotel where parking and breakfast were not free. I am so glad that we chose this one. If we are coming next time, we would choose it again!

Hampton Inn - sweet deer around the parking lot = a smile during our stay.

Not the best experience last weekend. We were in town to get some work done on our van and decided to stay at the Hampton with its walkability to shopping and trails. Things started off poorly, as I realized I'd forgotten my license right as we pulled up. I'd reserved the room but not paid, and although at this point in my life I realize one needs an ID to check in, the manager on duty proceeded to remind me multiple times that I need to have my ID and she'd do us a favor this one time by checking us in using my husbands info. After the 3rd reminder about the ID requirement to check in, I tried to explain that I get it - but I forgot my ID, I didn't plan to forget my ID, I've never before not had an ID at a check in...so continuing to educate me on something that simply is what it is at this point becomes slightly demeaning. I even suggested they cancel the room and we'd go elsewhere with my husbands ID and grab a room, but she was seemingly more interested in making sure I understood my obvious mistake than letting us all move on. The room itself was very clean and standard in appearance, as was the rest of the facility. Breakfast was well-maintained, your standard Hampton fare. Unfortunately we realized a couple hours into the night that the mattresses are in DIRE need of flipping. Our feet were visibly higher than the rest of our bodies, and as a result I was not able to sleep much at all...uncomfortable/sore back the next day. We paid for 2 nights, but upon hearing our van was ready we opted to checkout before bedtime on the 2nd night and just eat the night's cost and get a good night's sleep. My husband went to the desk to let them know we were leaving early and explained about the mattress, hopeful they'd take the info and give those a flip...possibly an easy fix for future guests. The hotel is in a great location, quiet and prime for restaurants, shopping, the river, and trails. If something is done with the mattresses things would be very different. As for the check-in woes, my bad for forgetting my ID, however one admonishment would suffice (especially since I knew it was needed and walked right in and told them I didn't have it). Unfortunately not a very positive hotel experience.

Location is one of the best advantages of this hotel. It is located across the Deschutes River from the Old Mill District, a 5 minutes walk. My youngest daughter and I would get a cup of strong hotel coffee and walk along the river before breakfast. Beds were comfortable, WiFi was strong, water pressure was strong, and free breakfast was fine. All the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our cost averaged was $220 per night, which was more than fair. Parking wss free. I highly recommend this hotel

Easy online app reservations, friendly front staff, clean end, big heated pool & central location.

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Bend is one of the nicest hotels in the chain (and I regularly stay at Hilton properties worldwide). It takes a lot to impress me, but my one night stay here was fantastic. The hotel is located in the Old Mill area of Bend, with lots of brand new shopping and dining options. Parking is free at the hotel, and you are within easy walking distance to the main shopping area. You aren't in the "heart" of the city nor are you going to have spectacular nature views, but it's a good place for an evening stopover or a few days' stay in town. The decor here is a cut above most hotels, with a super attractive, modern yet outdoorsy vibe. Our room was comfortable, with thoughtful touches like free wi-fi, extra plugs and chargers by the bed for your electronic devices, and swinging lamps over each bed. The bedding and carpet looked brand new. There's even a small convenience shop in the lobby that even sells bottles of local wine. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was good even for a non-breakfast eater like me. I was impressed at the selection of more expensive items, like fresh strawberries and high quality nuts (almonds and pecans). I can't remember the last time I saw fresh berries as part of the free breakfast offerings at a mid-priced hotel.

A friend recommended that we stay in the Old Mill District during our stay in June, 2021. I am very pleased with my choice to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bend! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained and clean, as well. It was located near the water, and our room had a nice view of that. The breakfast was a to-go box filled with two boiled eggs, yogurt, a bagel and either an apple or a banana. Juice, milk and coffee were also available. They were doing breakfast this way due to the pandemic. Hopefully in a few months it will be back to normal. Still good and filling. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

If it wasn't for the noisy doors, noisy adjoining room and noisy footsteps on the floor above, this would have been a great hotel! We were there Labor Day weekend when it was probably extra busy with more families running around, but still, when you don't get a good night sleep, you come back to your room the next day for a nap and still can't sleep due to the noise, you're cranky! Fortunately, the staff were gracious enough to move us to the top floor which was much quieter. However, you still can't fix noisy room doors that give a LOUD CLICK no matter how quietly you try to close them. Who designs a hotel with doors like that??!! Besides the noise that we experienced, it is a nice hotel with the following pros: +Newer hotel, modern decor +Clean +Free parking in a spacious lot outside. +Indoor pool and hot tub with provided towels. +Small workout room. +Good location near the river and Old Mill District and an easy drive to all other attractions in Bend, roughly 30 mins to the town of Sisters and 1.5 hrs to Crater Lake. +Large breakfast buffet area with TVs and the standard hotel breakfast foods like oatmeal, cold cereals, hot items, bread items, juice, eggs, fruit, smoothies. (Tea and coffee were located in the lobby a short walk from the breakfast area, which was slightly awkward). +Room had a fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer, TV, A/C, and comfortable beds. +Free water when we arrived for being a Hilton Honors Member. If it wasn't for the noisy closing doors and general lack of soundproofing from floors above, I'd give this hotel 4-5 stars.

Perfect location, wonderful customer service at the front desk and very clean rooms. They have breakfast in to go boxes due to Covid. Breakfast includes boiled eggs, yogurt, and bagel with cream cheese. You can also ask for a fruit. There is also coffee, milk and orange juice.

Traveling with a pet can sometimes feel like a hassle, but here, it felt like my dog was just as welcomed and pampered as I was. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted my dog with genuine warmth, offering treats, a cozy dog bed, and even special amenities that made the stay feel thoughtful and personalized. It wasn't just "pet-tolerant"--it was truly pet-celebrating. The attention to detail made a huge difference, and it was clear they go above and beyond for guests with furry companions. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful--modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious, and everything feels high-end without being pretentious. If you're traveling with your dog and want a place that treats both of you like VIPs, the Oxford Hotel is hands down one of the best choices out there. I accidentally left personal items in the room and am 100% certain they were left there. I contacted the hotel multiple times and they kept telling me they would follow up--but no one ever did. I never received a return call like they promised, a resolution, or any form of compensation, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, the staff I interacted with came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. A little accountability or basic courtesy would have gone a long way. For example I had to call down to the front desk 3 times in one morning just to get someone to bring toilet paper up to our room. For comparison, I had a much better overall experience at the Hampton Inn in Bend, where the service felt more professional and guest-focused. This is the hotel I usually stay at and it's always been a good experience, but this time I wanted an upscale experience since it was over New Years and I love an upscale hotel experience. I travel a lot and this was the worst experience I have had in a long time. The whole stay was very disappointing from the time we checked in, to our dining experience at their restaurant (they gave us a salad with croutons so hard they almost broke our tooth), clear up to the point we checked out. The rooms may be nice, but customer service matters more--and that's where this stay fell short.

It's just a little bit away from the downtown scene in Bend in an area that is being revitalized. I love the branding all over the hotel. They warm, brown and orange colors and all of the thoughtful touches and decor really made it stand out and feel super inviting. We enjoyed our five nights stay there very much. When we first checked in, I was a little disappointed that we were not in the main building. We were in a second building that was kind of across the street and the common area around it isn't quite as cute. It ended up being a good thing because the hotel pool and the Fire Pit area are super popular and it gets quite lively out there in the evenings. I appreciated being a little bit away from that because our room was so quiet. The people that work at the hotel are great, really friendly and helpful. We had a great time at the pool, I went every day! On Sunday, they have a big pool party and it seems like there are people from town that come because most of the people were checking out of the hotel that morning. They had a couple DJs, we went and enjoyed the music and the scene and had a blast. They have a bar area that opens in the afternoon that serves all sorts of cocktails but also they have nonalcoholic and CBD drinks available. They have a burrito, food truck and a coffee food truck in the parking lot Tuesdays through Saturdays and both of them were awesome. I wanted to give the hotel five stars but there are a couple things they could work on. First of all, the shower pressure was excellent and I liked how high the showerhead was, but the showerhead was in a fixed position. Every single time I showered there I would get blasted with cold water intermittently during the shower. With the showerhead, not being movable, there was no way for me to get out of the cold water stream. I just had to handle it until it got warm again or get out of the shower. I have a ton of hair so I can't just get out of the shower in the middle of washing my hair, that stuff has got to get rinsed out. Secondly, I appreciate that they don't clean the room every day. That seems like a waste to me. They told me at the front desk to let them know if there was a day I'd like to get my room cleaned before 11 AM that morning. So on Sunday morning at 8:15 AM I walked over to the front desk to ask to have our room cleaned that day and was told that because there were so many checkouts that they can't clean my room that day but would clean it the next day instead. Well, the next day was one day before we were leaving so it didn't really make sense. Also, our trash cans were running over, we were out of toilet paper and we needed new towels. So I ended up getting trash bags, towels, and toilet paper from reception and bringing them back to the room and then bagging up all of our trash and putting it outside the room. It wasn't the end of the world, but if they weren't available to do the room on a specific day, it would've been nice to get a heads up. We could've gotten it done the day before. Lastly, as much as I liked the aesthetic of the room, the bedframe is oversized and juts out just a little bit. It's dark brown, and the room is kind of dimly lit (nice aesthetic). I smacked both of my knees on that bedframe on different days and my man also smacked his knees on it. I took a photo of my knee next to the bedframe and you can see that the material of the frame is worn in that spot, it looks like a lot of people smack items or their body parts on it. They need to put a little cushion protection on that thing!

I knew of the McMenamins line of hotels due to a friend who had taken me to their Edgefield property when I was visiting. They had described the place as an adult Disneyland and that's a pretty good description for it. It had so many things going on above and beyond the hotel itself. So, when I saw that there was a McMenamins in Bend, OR I decided to try it out. It was a little hard to figure out where the main entrance was as I arrived in town when it was dark out. I managed to find a parking spot quickly, but I noticed as the evening went on it was packed with cars. The hotel is located on a corner toward the end of the downtown area and it's an easy, well lit walk to shops and restaurants. But, there are so many options to eat and drink at the hotel that you don't need to leave if you don't want to. The main part of the hotel where you check in has a rustic look to it. I hadn't made reservations as I was trying to see how far I could get toward home before stopping. It was a Sunday night and thankfully they had an opening. The two people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and I was able to get a room in the main building. As a solo, female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable not only in the hotel but in the town as well. I also found out that not only do they accept dogs, but they accept large dogs. And the bartender I spoke with said the town is very dog friendly. Although my dog wasn't with me on this trip I would love to return with him. My room was a decent size. It had a lot of different lighting options so it could have been very bright in there if I preferred or I could keep it more dimly lit. They make their own coffee, so they had four packets of coffee out (two with caffeine and two decaffeinated), a small coffee maker and some cream and sugars. I happened to get a room that was ADA compliant, so the bathroom was huge with a large walk/roll in shower. It was a lot of white tile and it was spotless. I was so tired and the room was so comfortable I would have been happy just staying in all evening. The grounds have several bars, a hidden speakeasy, a movie theater and a restaurant. So, if you decided to stay at the hotel then you would have plenty to keep you occupied. The patios had tons of heaters, so it was still pleasant to sit outside on a cold night. I was right next to the lobby, so I was a little worried it would be loud and it wasn't. I was also right next to where they set out a coffee station in the morning, which was convenient. The bed was comfortable and I couldn't have asked for more. I definitely plan on returning and staying longer, so I can take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer.

I would have stayed more nights if it wasn't for this because it all other ways, this is truly a great spot.

The fairly tasty prepared hot breakfast was a bonus; it was served in a large well- lit room (part of the lobby), with good coffee on tap, roomy seating and lots of food options --- yogurt, muffins, tea and other add ons for the taking. Props to the pool area as well -- spacious, clean, lots of towels and a pretty solid hot tub. The gym is full size too, stocks a good selection of machines, treadmills and weights, so that's another plus. Gotta say, though the hotel offers free bikes to take out, they are absolute crap; the brakes are atrocious, gears are sketchy and one had a flat. It's a nice perk, but proceed with caution. But overall, the Element is clean and up to date, with lots of parking on-site (though it costs extra), and a pretty good location within a somewhat reasonable walking distance to downtown. To my mind, all good things.

Look no further than this amazing place located exactly right where you need to be to handle your business needs or vacation getaways. The staff is amazing and very respectful. If you been to hotels you'll know that this is something you would only receive at a premium price... but here the price is fair and to be honest for all the amenities I would pay more. Get in here and relax a bit... you won't regret it Oh btw the gym is awesome

The entire reason I called was that I had a specific question I wanted to ask, and I could not locate anything on their website that could have answered my question. I contacted another hotel in the vicinity that actually answered my phone call and made me feel valued as a person and as a future guest at their hotel.

We stayed in the River Wild room, which had an outdoor entrance. The bed was comfortable, and the room was straightforward. Across the street is a coffee shop by day that turns into a nonalcoholic upscale bar type place in the evening. The breakfast was exceptional, and I appreciated their offer to make me some scrambled eggs since I'm allergic to dairy and could have the (delicious looking) frittatas. I was thrilled to have Metolius tea there. The hot tub is a nice amenity, though it was a bit scummy when I went in. I also was unaware that there was hot (and cold) water available in a book by the breakfast room for guests, and a mini fridge. None of the emails had mentioned anything about those, nor could I find any info in the room. So this is your heads up! I really wanted a cup of tea before bed, so having this info would have been appreciated. It's centrally located and great for walking to wherever you want to go, if that's your thing. I noticed…read morethey mentioned if you want an extra bed they can set one up and I opted not to request that because I expected it to be a sofa bed. When we arrived the extra bed was set up and it took over the whole living room which was a bummer. Then I stupidly slept on it the first night because it looked like a decent bed and I thought I'd let my mom have the king to herself but I woke up in absolute agony. Next night I slept on the king too and it was very comfortable. They should only have that bed set up on request because it's a terrible bed and should only be a last resort sleeping spot. Other than the horrible bed we had a very nice time.

While this inn has some nice things about it, namely a good bed and small patio, we found ourselves quite frustrated with the other parts of the stay. We brought our dog along, having checked that they were pet friendly and made arrangements to have the correct room. He is a calm, well trained, adult dog who is used to stayed in hotel rooms since we have spent a lot of time on the road. I , as always, read into their policies as available through Expedia and their website and found there would be no reason to expect anything different from our standard experience with other hotels. However, during check inn the women at the front desk asked what I was going to do with our pup while we are at the concert. Confused by this, she explained to me that their policy is not to allow dogs to be unattended in the room. She asked if I was going to leave him in the car (it is early September, and the heat would - as we know- make this extremely dangerous and possibly lethal for my pup). She additionally admitted that it would be hard to find that they hold this policy by simply looking through their website. In fact, the pet policies do NOT state that the pets are not allowed to be left in the room. Assuming we would have to cancel our plans for the night as to not have to leave him, we were extremely disappointed. Luckily, I was able to drive 45 minutes out of town to bring him to a family friends house until after the concert. This being said, this is not standard and is not conducive to being a "pet friendly" hotel if patrons are not able to leave their dog while going to dinner or an other activity. I even asked if we would be able to crate him and he could wear his e-collar (used for off leash work on our farm, but will guarantee he will not bark) which was declined. The women at the front desk was always kind, but unconcerned as to how this affected us and that we were not properly notified of the policy (nor would any other customer be). If we did not have family outside of town, we would have had to find somewhere else to stay or cancel our plans for the night. This policy needs to be made clear at booking. Besides for this, we were unimpressed with our room as it had a notable unpleasant smell when we walked in and had more than 10 bugs in the bathroom at all times. Including dead ones on the counter. The air in the room did not work, which especially frustrating during wildfire season as having a cool breeze come in is not an option when the air quality is extremely dangerous due to the smoke. Save your money and simply stay at the Hampton inn or one of the other places in town.
