Janna was exceptionally friendly and efficient upon checking in. She was so polite and welcoming. DO NOT stay here on a concert night if you aren't going to the concert. Seriously, it's so loud. The music from the amphitheater was louder in my room than I play my own music when I'm listening. It's absurd. The sound checks can start very early in the afternoon and the shows can go until 10. You won't be able to work, you won't be able to relax, you won't be able to sleep. The windows literally rattle. If you ARE staying here because you're in town for a show, you'll probably be pretty happy. It's less than two minutes' walk from the hotel to the amphitheater entrance gate. And if you're there on a night without a show, also pretty good. The included breakfast has waffles. The pillows are as flat as damp cotton candy but the bathrooms have real doors instead of those trendy barn doors that never close properly. It's a five minute walk over to the Old Mill District with restaurants and shopping. The river is right on the other side of the parking lot. It's an excellent location, except for that pesky amphitheater. read more

We came for a concert at the Hayden Homes Amphitheater and the location of this hotel was perfect. The hotel is clean, great service and every employee we encountered was so nice! I recently stayed here and was very impressed by the entirety of this location. From the water with lemon dispensers near the elevator to the always available coffee dispensers to the well stocked sundry store that had bottles of my favorite water available for purchase so I didn't have to stop at a gas station or a grocery store for them...to countless other details. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns for business, my favorite brand in the Hilton umbrella...and believe me this location has all the details covers. For business or personal/family travel this is a wonderful hotel. It speaks well to whoever manages this location...particularly post covid when some locations are still trying to figure stuff out. Lastly, it sort of looks like a lodge, appropriately because this area snows, and as luck would have its within walking distance of good food and a movie theater. It feels like it is simply another way to gouge the customer without it appearing that the room rates are going up even further. We visited Bend for some hockey exhibition games on a weekend. Surprisingly, most hotels in Bend were very expensive. Furthermore, most of them were almost full. Hampton Inn was one of the hotels that offer relatively reasonable rates. The hotel was close to the ice rink, the Pavilion. It was about 5 minutes drive and 15 minutes walk away from the rink. There were many nice trails around the hotel, so it was very convenient to have a walk to explore the area. The hotel staff was friendly and polite. There were snacks and drinks in the lobby. The breakfast was also included. Breakfast is very typical continental breakfast. It's probably the best hotel deal in Bend. The hotel room was well equipped. There's a microwave and a fridge. There's also a coin laundromat where there were multiple washers and dryers, which was super convenient for us to wash stinky jerseys between the games. If you forget the detergent, the front desk sells detergent in small packages at a reasonable price. ($1 or $2) Overall, I am happy with this hotel. Some of our teammates spent more to stay at a different hotel where parking and breakfast were not free. I am so glad that we chose this one. If we are coming next time, we would choose it again! read more

Not the best experience last weekend. We were in town to get some work done on our van and decided to stay at the Hampton with its walkability to shopping and trails. Things started off poorly, as I realized I'd forgotten my license right as we pulled up. I'd reserved the room but not paid, and although at this point in my life I realize one needs an ID to check in, the manager on duty proceeded to remind me multiple times that I need to have my ID and she'd do us a favor this one time by checking us in using my husbands info. After the 3rd reminder about the ID requirement to check in, I tried to explain that I get it - but I forgot my ID, I didn't plan to forget my ID, I've never before not had an ID at a check in...so continuing to educate me on something that simply is what it is at this point becomes slightly demeaning. I even suggested they cancel the room and we'd go elsewhere with my husbands ID and grab a room, but she was seemingly more interested in making sure I understood my obvious mistake than letting us all move on. The room itself was very clean and standard in appearance, as was the rest of the facility. Breakfast was well-maintained, your standard Hampton fare. Unfortunately we realized a couple hours into the night that the mattresses are in DIRE need of flipping. Our feet were visibly higher than the rest of our bodies, and as a result I was not able to sleep much at all...uncomfortable/sore back the next day. We paid for 2 nights, but upon hearing our van was ready we opted to checkout before bedtime on the 2nd night and just eat the night's cost and get a good night's sleep. My husband went to the desk to let them know we were leaving early and explained about the mattress, hopeful they'd take the info and give those a flip...possibly an easy fix for future guests. The hotel is in a great location, quiet and prime for restaurants, shopping, the river, and trails. If something is done with the mattresses things would be very different. As for the check-in woes, my bad for forgetting my ID, however one admonishment would suffice (especially since I knew it was needed and walked right in and told them I didn't have it). We have stayed at the Hampton Inn Bend Oregon multiple times in the past 6 years, we have family in Bend, and the location is perfect. Our last stay 11/30/2025 was great as usual. However, there must have been an ownership change with the franchise or management change. There has not been a nightly parking fee prior to our stay 11/30/2025. They now charge a $12.00 per night parking fee, this is not a high-end resort hotel property. If the management has concerns about general public parking on the property during concerts at the amphitheater, they should provide parking tags for guests and station a staff member to monitor the parking lot. As well during peak season the room rates more than double. While the property is located in the Mill District, Bend has other hotel properties that offer better pricing and are still close to the Mill District. read more

Location is one of the best advantages of this hotel. It is located across the Deschutes River from the Old Mill District, a 5 minutes walk. My youngest daughter and I would get a cup of strong hotel coffee and walk along the river before breakfast. Beds were comfortable, WiFi was strong, water pressure was strong, and free breakfast was fine. All the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The facility itself is real nice and quiet. However, the TV was not performing at its best. The picture was fluctuating brightness. we could not get the microwave to work. The pool was indoors so we didn't use it. The free breakfast was okay. There was a good variety of drinks and food. The muffins and scones were disappointing. Also there was no bacon. But there was 2 waffle irons. On the outside, the Hotel was within walking distance of the river and the Old Mill District and the Hayden Homes Amphitheater. So that was great. The cost was shocking. First of all for the price we should have been given a suite. We reserved the room in months in advance. By the time the bill came it was a whopping $1000 plus for only 2 nights. No view, no balcony and cheap TP. So check the prices before booking. I felt like we were handled. read more

I've been burned by so many hotels lately that I was weary of this stay, and thank goodness I was so pleasantly surprised. The staff was kind and welcoming from the get go and extremely helpful. They got us checked in right away and earlier than planned. There was nice water stations inside, too, for guests which was very much appreciated, as well as a small store if you need a snack but don't want to venture out. The hotel is located in the Old Mill District was was SO CLOSE to the amphitheater. Like, a two minute walk to the gates which was awesome. If you're going to a concert this is your place to stay. If you're into the shops or floating the river it's all literally minutes away as well. The room was large, extremely clean, and very comfortable. We had to use the pull out bed as well and it was comfortable by pull out couch standards. Our tv was having some tech issues and an awesome employee came up three different times to get it fixed. By far my favorite hotel in Bend. Great location right by the Old Mill. Nice big pool and spa. We listened to a concert from the fire pit. Nice comfortable beds and clean rooms. Two summers ago when I first visited Bend, I booked another hotel in the area that claimed to be in Old Mill District and as soon as I saw it, I knew that claim was quite a stretch. There's only so much to infer from Google earth if you've never been in the area! So thanks to flexible COVID rules, I was able to cancel that hotel and get this one, which really is in Old Mill, right across the way from the cute shopping center. It is also right next to Riverbend Park (THE place to go if you're in Bend) and right next to walking paths along the river. The suite is nicely sized and has all the essentials, breakfast is fine, pool and gym are great. They used to have hot breakfast on our first stay but second time around it was in to-go boxes. As far as cleanliness- could be better, but I'm eagle-eyed when it comes to that, so I'll let it slide. Overall, a great place to stay with family. read more

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Bend is one of the nicest hotels in the chain (and I regularly stay at Hilton properties worldwide). It takes a lot to impress me, but my one night stay here was fantastic. The hotel is located in the Old Mill area of Bend, with lots of brand new shopping and dining options. Parking is free at the hotel, and you are within easy walking distance to the main shopping area. You aren't in the "heart" of the city nor are you going to have spectacular nature views, but it's a good place for an evening stopover or a few days' stay in town. The decor here is a cut above most hotels, with a super attractive, modern yet outdoorsy vibe. Our room was comfortable, with thoughtful touches like free wi-fi, extra plugs and chargers by the bed for your electronic devices, and swinging lamps over each bed. The bedding and carpet looked brand new. There's even a small convenience shop in the lobby that even sells bottles of local wine. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was good even for a non-breakfast eater like me. I was impressed at the selection of more expensive items, like fresh strawberries and high quality nuts (almonds and pecans). I can't remember the last time I saw fresh berries as part of the free breakfast offerings at a mid-priced hotel. read more

A friend recommended that we stay in the Old Mill District during our stay in June, 2021. I am very pleased with my choice to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Bend! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained and clean, as well. It was located near the water, and our room had a nice view of that. The breakfast was a to-go box filled with two boiled eggs, yogurt, a bagel and either an apple or a banana. Juice, milk and coffee were also available. They were doing breakfast this way due to the pandemic. Hopefully in a few months it will be back to normal. Still good and filling. I would definitely stay at this hotel again! read more

If it wasn't for the noisy doors, noisy adjoining room and noisy footsteps on the floor above, this would have been a great hotel! We were there Labor Day weekend when it was probably extra busy with more families running around, but still, when you don't get a good night sleep, you come back to your room the next day for a nap and still can't sleep due to the noise, you're cranky! Fortunately, the staff were gracious enough to move us to the top floor which was much quieter. However, you still can't fix noisy room doors that give a LOUD CLICK no matter how quietly you try to close them. Who designs a hotel with doors like that??!! Besides the noise that we experienced, it is a nice hotel with the following pros: +Newer hotel, modern decor +Clean +Free parking in a spacious lot outside. +Indoor pool and hot tub with provided towels. +Small workout room. +Good location near the river and Old Mill District and an easy drive to all other attractions in Bend, roughly 30 mins to the town of Sisters and 1.5 hrs to Crater Lake. +Large breakfast buffet area with TVs and the standard hotel breakfast foods like oatmeal, cold cereals, hot items, bread items, juice, eggs, fruit, smoothies. (Tea and coffee were located in the lobby a short walk from the breakfast area, which was slightly awkward). +Room had a fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer, TV, A/C, and comfortable beds. +Free water when we arrived for being a Hilton Honors Member. If it wasn't for the noisy closing doors and general lack of soundproofing from floors above, I'd give this hotel 4-5 stars. read more

Amazing location, good hotel rooms, some issues. First our shower leaked and there was also a 6" tear on the ceiling right above the shower head. I also found a pill(ibuprofen) under the tv stand in our bedroom which was scary because we had two kids with us. Also we had issues with laundry, have to have cash, and the service desk was slow. read more

Just spent 2nights at this Hampton Inn( 21-23Dec) and I can honestly say it is the nicest of the Hampton Inns I have stayed at so far. It looks new. We stayed at room 336 which was spotless. Beds were comfortable and it overlooks the river and the Old Mill District. There is a footbridge on the side of the property to the Old Mill district too, very convenient for shopping and dining. They serve the usual breakfast items that you would expect from any of their properties. Both the workout room and saltwater indoor pool are open 24hrs. The pool area is very clean and well maintained. I can't wait to come back and stay here again. read more

Yup, probably one of the best Hampton Inns I have been in. As an HH member the online checkin was smooth and easy. The only thing that they need to do better on is the checkin software. It doesN't allow for a real room selection. But the cordial young lady at the front desk made sure we got what we asked for on our initial reservation. On the whole, a first rate group of employees who are cheerful and doing their best to be helpful. As to the facility and layout, I am not going to try to out do Michele R. Whose review you can jump to. She is the top Yelper and you can't go wrong listening to her. I would add one thing, the rooms are equipped with an abundance of electric plugs and USB charging docks, see pix. Note the white, USB guide? First place I have seen with these. No phone or iPad charger needed as long as you brought your USB cord. The breakfast in a good one for this price point hotel. My only gripe was that the young man taking care of the breakfast wasn't doing his job very well. Things were missing or down to one muffin, eggs almost gone, or waffle batter very low. Comfortable beds, quite rooms and hallways on the top floor, even though it was spring break. I didn't have to reach out and trip some running crumb cruncher who thought the halls were his own sprint frack. The doors don't slam and wake the people in the nearest 10 rooms at daybreak as the skiers head out. read more

Worst ever! I am so sad about this experience! We loved hampton inn and when we came here, we always stayed in there. However this time, we got really mad! We reserved first floor because we had kids, and checked in before we arrived. When we arrived, they told us they r not ready and we have to wait 2hrs if we love to stay where we reservation. At that time was it was around 5:30 pm so we had to wait 2hrs more? Please! Also manage never said to us "sorry!" I bet you guys have to say and excuse for us, but "No" not at all! Any customer respect! If you love to stay and enjoy your trip, do not! Bad customer service and not friendly! We cancelled our second nite and reserved other place. Newish (2 years "minus") Hampton Inn located in the Old Mill District in Bend is among the best Hampton's at which we've stayed and it is a Hilton line we use often. Comfortable infrastructure, friendly staff, well run for service issues and convenient location. We would choose it again for certain times of year visit to Bend and not choose it at other times because of location. LOCATION... ...could be love it or not so much at some times depending on your profile. We are former Bend residents so knew this property is located near the Les Schwab Ampitheater. During summer months when the Ampitheater has live music shows you will be close enough to it that you'll be able to hear the music whether you want to or not. So for folks like us who prefer not, this would not be a summer months choice if a show was scheduled. But if your profile is to like that (I think the shows run to 11p), you could prop up a lawn chair at the hotel grounds or listen even with room windows shut and save the price of Ampitheater admission. The hotel is also located just a short walk across a bridge to the Old Mill District retail shops, just down the hill from a large Bend park along the river and just up the hill from river trail access. At our March stay during Spring break time the hotel was completely full with lots of small children in the mix. Yet the halls were quiet at night. Given we've had the experience in other properties at this same time of year that hallways are mistaken by parents for playgrounds, this was a delightful surprise. SERVICE & HOSPITALITY... ...from check in to handling a maintenance issue to check out, the staff was friendly and professional. Coffee and water for tea (both kept hot) in pump pots near the desk to help yourself. Ice water container with fresh lemons and strawberries on a table by the elevator. (Bend is high desert with lots of outdoor activities so good to have visitors keep hydrated.) Sign at desk said hotel guests could buy tickets for the Mill District Regal theater for $8.50; that's about 50% off. ROOMS & BATHS... ...have some nice features. Beds are comfy. The desk and credenza and bedside tables have umpteen plug ins and charging stations. The fridge behind one of the credenza doors was quiet. The heating unit was noisy with crackle - pops. The closet was small with limited hangers and the credenza drawers are small too. Bathroom well lit, laid out and appointed. Shower only with sliding glass doors, which I love, and good fixtures like Grohe faucets and shower heads and Toto commode. ROOM SITING... ...matters here. We are Hilton Honors members so use E check in. For King Room / Away from Elevator High Floor profile only two rooms available both floor 2 (3 floor property). We chose wrong room given map is confusing for hotel layout (Hilton is working on this for all properties on the E reserve system). As tip to others, I share our learning. Even # rooms face front of building, odd rooms the back. (We thought the opposite looking at hotel map.) If you choose an odd room of 223 minus you are going to be adjacent to the indoor pool looking at a dirt lot (soon to be built on I think) or even a wall. Wall may be true for 225ish too. At 235ish and up may have peek a boo view out towards Deschutes Brewery. Rooms at front will face the Mill District. Now we know. We ended up in 207. Not recommended for dirt lot outlook. But this is clearly a first world problem. BREAKFAST & BREAKFAST ROOM... ..serves 6a to 10a. Early risers and hubby wants to eat when his feet hit the floor so he liked start time. The breakfast room is spacious with lots of standard table seating along with some of the awkward high perch seats (the latter not being used on any of the mornings we were there). Food options were among the best of the free breakfast places we've stayed. The fresh fruit mix included fresh berries and was really good. Oatmeal and raw nuts available along with processed breakfast cereals, yogurt, bagels and English Muffins to toast, the hot containers with things like eggs, sausage or bacon depending on day. They provide trays to carry to food to room (ummm...no...I am not going down in my jammies at 6:30a but my hubby will make the trek in sweats and carry back). Neither then nor on our way out the door at 8:30a to return the tray was the breakfast room overwhelmed with people since the staff had it well in hand. THIS N THAT; 1) PARKING: Good sized lot but even at that the front and side full during our stay. There is overflow parking in back and it had space each night. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking spaces on each side of front door. (None in back lot.) All of the public infrastructure (halls, breakfast room, pool, etc) seemed to meet ADA. Didn't check ADA rooms but seemed they had them on all floors per law. read more

We spent 3 nights here and I will say that the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. Great breakfasts. Clean. Lovely. Matt was terrific in the evening when we had to change our room due to a burning smell and my allergies Very comfortable beds spacious bathrooms. Fluffy towels. I booked a stay through my chase travel app had a family emergency and didn't end up ever checking in. Chase has tried calling them dozens of times with no response. I don't usually stay at chain hotels but on a recent business trip to Bend with the hubby, the corporate travel agent booked us here. Huge hotel, clean, and lots of parking. I didn't partake in morning breakfast but it was nice to have fresh coffee available in the lobby all day as well as snacks for purchase. Our room was big enough but the walls were very thin. Also, not enough towels. Otherwise, a decent and clean room. One of the great things about this property is it's proximity to the Old Mill District. Only a two minute walk away, there is a bridge that joins the hotel property with the shopping/dining area where you will find all of the basics as well as just about any kind of food you may be craving. Very friendly customer service. They are used to dealing with corporate types and their level of professionalism reflects that. I misplaced my fitbit and within a few minutes of calling and talking to someone, I received a call back (they didn't have it but it turned up somewhere else). I didn't have a chance to swim in their indoor pool but it's huge and indoors. We'll happily stay here next year for our yearly Bend trip. read more

Although a bit pricier, we had a nice central location and near the river as well to offset the higher cost. Stayed here on a recent trip to the Bend area. It appears to be of fairly new construction and everything was sparkling clean and in good working order. Oh to have the water pressure of their shower at home, that'd be lovely. The hotel has a nice pool and workout area. Rooms are nice and beds are pretty comfy. Like a lot of hotels, I do wish they put just a bit more sound insulation in. My room had the view of a wall, so that kind of sucked. There is a fire pit out back with some chairs. Breakfast was ok. premade cheese omlet, standard waffles and cereal, turkey sausage. Really nice the lady came around filling coffee up. Anyway, a pretty decent place to stay. read more
