What a lovely, quaint little motel just on the edge of the downtown area of Sisters. In fact, it's an easy walk to tons of shops, restaurants, and bars. And you're really close to an amazing view of the Three Sisters Mountains. The rooms are comfy, open, and spacious. I opted for the Deluxe King Suite with Kitchenette and loved it. The bed was very comfortable, and I felt right at home here. I even saw some deer hanging out next to the property, which I see often at home. This property also has a courtyard area with a fire pit, hot tub, and cold tub. My air-conditioned room had 2 TVs, one for each room, which was nice. The free, Wi-Fi was also nice, but the extra touch was the various cables they had in the room--great for people who forget to bring that one thing they really needed. On a long motorcycle trip. Temperatures are supposed to get down near freezing here tonight. Didn't feel like camping in that. Looked around and found this little Gem. And gem is a perfect description. The room is huge. With a den area. Nice kitchen area. And a great big bathroom. Very comfortable feeling. And overall just an awesome little Lodge. Couldn't be happier. And dealing with the young woman that owns it. Was an absolute pleasure. I wish I could give extra stars! read more

The Room had too much furniture, on site attendant was a little too invested in our dog by creating a reason to come to our room (an extra sheet and towel?) to tell us it was getting warm and our dog was in our car, which we were already well aware of. The bathroom door, which slides like a barn door, wouldn't stay shut unless it was hooked shut and it wouldn't stay all the way open either. Other than that, a quaint little inn, nice bed, good A/C, nice little kitchen and we loved the porch to sit outside in the evening and early morning. read more

We made our reservation at the last minute -- 3:00 pm while eating lunch. We reserved a Queen bed room online, but within a few minutes, we got a text that said we had been upgraded to a King room. The room was great! King bed and a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, dishes, etc. The second room was a sitting room/garage. It had a couch, table and chairs, but also a roll up door - so you could store your bikes or kayaks in there overnight. The property is small -- only 9 rooms, I think. Has a hot tub. Very quiet and close to the main drag of Sisters - a short walk to anywhere in town. read more

We have staid several times over the years at the Sisters Motor Lodge, and are happy to report that the new local owners of the renamed Left Coast Lodge have kept the "home away from home" feel of the property. Their service was outstanding, and for us, being able to easily WALK to town is priceless! read more

Place is cute but we had a couple of hiccups during our stay. Sucks because this is my best friends favorite place to stay & he's been here many times. Basically the door knob lock wasn't supposed to be used but we didn't know & we got locked out. Spent nearly an hour knocking on the office door & calling the various phone numbers. Eventually I played internet detective & tracked down a different number for the owner. She didn't answer but called back after we left a message. The grounds are lovely, there are lounge chairs & tree swings & deer roaming around. We'll be back with hopefully no problems next time! read more

I loved my stay here for the Quilt Show weekend. Formerly Sisters Motor Lodge, the Lodge is now under a new owner. Many upgrades have been made and my room (#3) was perfectly comfortable, with a good bed and a small kitchenette that had everything I needed. The grounds were well maintained and they had free coffee at 8:00 am and small ice packets in the office. A new energy-efficient window was being put in my unit the day I arrived. The door locks operate on a keypad, which was very convenient and I didn't have to worry about carrying around a key. There was parking for every unit. Also, close location to downtown allowed me to walk everywhere in town. Sisters is a wonderful town with a good variety of shops, galleries, bar & restaurants. Definitely would visit Sisters again and stay at Left Coast Lodge. read more

I don't usually go on rants like this and I honestly do not understand how this place has 4 1/2 stars. It's like staying at your grandmothers house who has to poke their noses in everything that you do. Monitoring your every move. Be careful with the handmade quilts, why put handmade quilts in the room with passerby's if they are so precious? Don't leave the door open. Oh is that what you're going to do? I can't give you an extra 15 minutes to get ready you have to leave now, or I will have to charge you. OK I don't mind the charge how much is it. $25 but forget it I can only give you 15 minutes to get your stuff and get out because she needed the room. So I angrily scrambled to get all my belongings and left pissed as hell. As I drove out the sign said "VACANCY"! It's not like they were sold out of rooms. She decided to be unkind. Super awful way to start the day. By the way, someone kept peeking in the window of the door and trying to open the screen, which has a latch. Let your guests be in peace please! My husband told me I had until noon to check out. I was lounging and taking my time getting ready. I had just gotten out of the shower, and she couldn't give me 30 minutes to get my stuff and finish getting ready. She literally kicked me out. So rude. If you're going to stay here, be ready to stay like you are at a museum, where you have to literally be careful with everything that you touch. read more

My sister and I spent the night at Sisters Motor Lodge July 12th. We were very happy with the lodge. It was cozy, immaculate, with comfortable beds and beautiful grounds. We were in room number one which is close to the road with a lot of traffic noise however it is quiet at night and the road was not a problem for us. I had a long, hot shower and did not run out of hot water like your previous reviewer. I appreciated being close enough to Sisters to be able to walk into town. All in all, a very positive experience for us. read more

The place was clean and cute but extremely small in the room. The key card door is very glitchy and while we thought and assumed it was locked when we left for the door, the electronic door actually DID-NOT lock. At 6-2, the show was made for a 5-2 person at best and the toilet doesn't have a enough room for your knees if you need to come number 2. August pricing is way too high for a place of this lower quality. Again, it was clean but so small with very little parking on premises. read more

We stayed in one of the older rooms that hadn't been remodeled. It was lovely very clean. The bed was so comfy. All lotions shampoos were great. This is a completely smoke free property. Froze my tail off last night tent camping along the Metolius River. Left there today to find a decent room with a great bed and hot shower. Found those and more. I travel a lot and usually opt for national brands since they're usually less risky and consistent in their quality from place to place. I'm in Sisters this weekend for a wedding and ended up staying here since it's a small town with only a few hotels (and because I made my reservations kind of late.) What a pleasure it was to arrive at dusk last night to such a pleasant oasis of serenity. The grounds are immaculate and all the little touches really enhance the genuine charm here. The room was spotlessly clean and comfy, the Wi-Fi works perfectly, and it's been fun to notice all the little decorations and creative details around the place. It's obvious that the proprietors take great pride in creating a nice environment for their guests. read more

We really enjoyed Sisters Motor Lodge. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and quiet. I liked the old-fashioned feeling and decor. I really appreciated the fact that our room had a separate room with second bed in it. This is a gem of a place. The rooms are cozy, with lots of space and personal touches; felt like I was staying at someone's well kept home. Our room had a kitchen with all the amenities. The yard in summer has restful places to sit and watch the birds. It is right off the highway, but the pastoral setting makes up for it. Definitely would stay here again. read more

Wow, this place was so nice! We had room 7 which was called Picket Fence. It was cozy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was perfect for us because my wife and I were traveling with a friend and there was a 2nd bed in a separate room. The grounds were very relaxing with tables, chairs, lounges and a hammock. My friend had seen the motor lodge on a previous trip to the annual Sisters quilt show and actually emailed me a photo of the motor lodge sign. I just returned from a week at the motor lodge, and it was fabulous. I shared unit 2, the Native American room with 2 friends and then a few nights with my mom. The grounds are beautiful with lots of hang-out areas and hammocks. The room was adorable, and most of all the owner Mary was a terrific hostess! I will definitely be back! read more

We stayed here in the cabin next to the office. The landscaping is really pretty, really relaxing. The Lodge does a good job with attention to detail-providing extra linens, pillows, and various other comforts. The Lodge is within walking distance of everything, which I don't think any other Sisters accommodations offers. Because there's so many cool shops and places to eat (and vehicle traffic is high) this is a huge plus. The hospitality is quite good. Mary, the owner, was one of the friendliest yet non-invasive hotel proprietors I've come across. You're not dealing with a corporate chain who hires employees who frankly don't like their jobs and don't want to be there. The customer service side is really solid; one of the few places where I've felt like a guest and not a "payor". Will definitely stay there again. read more

We dropped in to this sweet little motel and were completely delighted at what we found. The owner, Mary was very accommodating and personable. As you make your way through the horseshoe shaped driveway, you can see into the empty rooms that are very charming and decorated with the shabby chic style. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms clean and warm. Her pricing is similar to the Ponderosa Inn/Best Western down the road, but offer a more boutique and lovely stay. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! read more

My fiancé and I stayed at the Sisters Motor Lodge for two nights as a part of our road trip through Oregon. Just writing this review made me want to return! Sadly, this will be difficult for us, as we live on the east coast, and had come to Oregon to view the solar eclipse as well as the rest of the state's great sights. Before our arrival, I had anxiously followed the news reports about hotels in the path raising their rates in anticipation of receiving eclipse watchers. Not so for Sisters Motor Lodge. While we were charged high-season, event rates--as is appropriate for summer--this motel made no attempt to capitalize further on the eclipse and demand a few hundred more dollars per night for a room. They honored the booking, even without a deposit. It's nice to know that there are still honorable small businesses and owners out in the world! The first thing that struck us about the Sisters Motor Lodge were the grounds. Though it was smoky and cold when we arrived in the morning, due to the Milli Fire unfortunately burning just a few miles away, when the day warmed and the smoke lifted near check-in time, we saw that the grounds were beautifully maintained, with plenty of chairs set out to offer the opportunity to relax. My fiancé and I sat in the porch swing suspended from the tree behind our unit for over an hour, looking across the field toward the mountains and chatting. I noticed a few other travelers availing themselves of a few of the many lawn chairs set out by the office. (The motor lodge, while fully booked, never felt crowded, especially in our little suite farther away from the main block of rooms.) In the afternoon, we enjoyed the abundant flowers still blooming around the two main garden areas. They were impressive enough to warrant taking pictures--which my fiancé did! Mary Fowler, the owner, received us promptly after another couple at check-in time, and was kind enough to tell us out-of-staters about the area in great detail, answering all of our questions amicably and thoroughly. She e-mailed information to us about the local fire from her personal account, and seemed well abreast of all the news. She even dressed for the day in an eclipse-themed outfit, providing a note of celebration and camaraderie that certainly did not go unnoticed by her guests! We stayed in Suite 11, which had a full kitchen. A second suite, #10, was located directly above us, but although it too was rented out, we never heard its occupants, so the rooms must be well insulated from noise. The highway, which can be seen easily from the front of the property and which was well used throughout our stay, was inaudible as well. Thankfully, the fire didn't reach us either--thanks to the incident teams who worked hard throughout the whole of our stay and far beyond! Our rooms were not extremely large, but they were of a perfectly good size for us and impeccably clean, and provided everything we could wish for, including a toaster, kettle, dishes, and utensils. I had booked the suite with full kitchen in hopes of being able to prepare a full meal, but we were so busy, we didn't manage to get around to it, and I remain quite sorry we didn't get to use these abundant offerings more! We did manage to avail ourselves of the DVD player, as later that first night, we borrowed a couple of movies from the library of DVDs in the office, checking them out with nothing more than a word and returning them at our leisure. We got up in the wee hours of the morning of the second day of our stay to hike up nearby Black Butte and view the eclipse. When we returned from our intensive, twelve-hour ordeal, we found that the items we had left in and around the bed had been carefully moved aside so that it could be made up. We hadn't seen a note we could slip in the door to let someone know whether to clean the room, but we appreciated the obvious care that had been taken nonetheless! Checkout was as simple as leaving our keys in the office by eleven. We certainly left with fond memories. But the cherry on top of this wonderful stay was the fact that soon after I arrived home, I received an envelope in the mail. Apparently, despite our thorough checking, we had managed to leave behind a couple of important items in the room. Sisters Motor Lodge shipped them back to me with no prompting and no expectation of reward. These little admirable touches are so difficult to come across--but courtesy and hospitality, as well as superb attention to detail, still prevail at this homey and accessible little place. Sisters Motor Lodge was the highlight of our motel and hotel stays in Oregon, and I would recommend it to all. read more

We've stayed twice now and enjoyed it both times. Our last stay was in #10 the Honeymoon Suite. Very cozy, comfortable and a great view off the cute deck staring directly at the 3 Sisters range. Can't beat the great location and host, Mary is a gem. Being a native of Redmond/Sisters it feels very much like a piece of home and taking that historic trip back to the best days of our little town the Sisters Motor Lodge really delivers. My friend and I climbed Black Butte and then stayed overnight at Sisters Motor Lodge. It was so comfortable and cozy. The bed was great and the linens soft. Nice heating and A/C options, big TV, fun decor. The owner suggested dinner and breakfast options and they were wonderful (Latigo and Cottonwood Cafe) and both within walking distance. This is a quaint little motel established in the 1930's. That should tell you it is small, and is not a modern, up-to-date site. However, if you like atmosphere and a relaxing place to stay this is it. We walked into the town of Sister's and walked around in residential neighborhoods and saw a lot more of Sisters than I have in visits passed. It has a small courtyard with a pond and hot tub. Mary Fowler has lounge chairs set all over and we sat out in the shade in the evenings and enjoyed the cool breezes and the birds chirping after some 90 degree days in early July. I am sure we will stay again even though the shower was really small and the air conditioning was only a small window unit. We enjoyed our stay. I took several pictures of the court yard and the view of the Three Sisters with my phone, but I am new at this, so you'll just have to take my word for the wonderful views we enjoyed. read more
